- The Spruce Steel String sounds very intimate and has an easy-to-use concept with great flexibility. It is designed for playing melodies, soft arpeggiated chords and rhythmic patterns intuitively without having to tweak many knobs.
Every sample has been recorded without a pick, using only fingers and nails for a close and warm sound.
The included articulations are finger sustains, nails melody, nails chords, shorts, momentary shorts, momentary ghost strokes, momentary grace notes (tempo-synced, velocity-sensitive) and a set of restroke keys which let you retrigger any held notes in a different articulation.

Whoa this is super well done! Just bought!
Thanks for the kind words Lucent!
Gosh ! That is one fantastic instrument 🙏🙏🏿👍🎩👏👏
Thanks! Glad you like it :)
Fantastic is that you dont need to switch from solo to chord modes, that makes playing more realistic and comfortable. And also price is very good. I buyed this library very quickly :)
Thanks for this Sebastian, this is an incredible instrument and an amazing price to boot.
wow, the programming is top notch and it sounds really awesome!
this is incredible
You guys are amazing
It sounds fantastic!! I have a lot of acoustic guitar VIs, and some are better than others... but yours is top notch. A definite MUST-HAVE!
And thank you for continuing to support Kontakt 5.
🙏 glad you like it!!
Sounds very good! And it's only 25 clams? SOLD.
It's always best when we can play the up and downstrokes as opposed to machine "strumming".
FANTASTIC! Could we expect a DOUBLING STEREO SOUND option in a Future update maybe ??? That would make it even more awesome :))
I really do wish at some point some one create a semi-acoustic guitar library. The one with acoustic guitar that can be connected to the amp. Ive been loving the sound lately unfortunately none of there are in the markets. Only way to is to buy them :(
The sound is fantastic. I really like the concept with which this vst was created. Is it possible to have a written user manual?
Hi, I'm really glad you like the sound and the concept! This is the main part of the work. Unfortunately there is no written manual yet, but you can download the automatic subtitles as a transcript and use the text as a manual. Perhaps that is a possible help. Thanks again and best regards!
Thanks a lot for the answer. I'll do as you said. If I may ask...I sometimes feel a slight latency, a slight delay in the reproduction of single notes while playing. It doesn't depend on my buffer, because all the other VIs play without any latency. I still have to understand exactly how and when this happens, but in reality I think this latency is "deliberate" to make the sound more realistic. It's as if they wanted to give a soul to the instrument. I think it comes from the software programming that "thinks" like a strummed guitar even when playing single notes in succession. Perhaps what happens in nails melody and nails chord (chord notes played in unison on the keyboard, but which you hear one after the other with thousandths of time intervals, like a strummed guitar) also partly influences the individual notes. This was what I was referring to earlier when I talked about the design of the software, even more than the programming of the key switches, which is still very easy to use. In fact, if you learn to manage this latency the instrument guides you towards a certain way of playing. Especially if you are not a guitarist, but a pianist like me. Is that so? Is there this desired latency? After a few hours of practice I learned to manage this delay. I just wanted to know if this is normal. However the sound is wonderful. For me, who loves the world of intimate-sounding country rock/folk songwriters, it's the best virtual sound there is. Better than very expensive guitar VIs.
@@massimomele7267 Thank you Massimo! This is exactly how it's set up. I've send you an e-mail regarding your question about the slight offset and explain the technical aspects about the topic there. I am very glad that you like the instrument! As I've mentioned in the walkthrough, the guitar means a lot to me :) Best regards!
Any owners out there who can confirm this question: Does the finger articulation produce the odd attack sound I hear starting around 1:26 into the video or is this just in this video? Id been thinking about this one, but that sound throws me off. It's like a weird attack or release I hear when he changes chords.
Hi! Your guitar sounds beautiful! May I ask what chord types are available for the strumming (ie, when in restroke mode)? I'm not versed in theory, but would all basic triads, extensions, sus2, sus4, and power chords be playable for the strumming in the restroke mode? Hope to hear from you. Thank you. :)
Hi Melba, you can basically strum every chord type with the restroke keys - they let you repeat any held notes whether it's a single note or a complete chord. There are no prerecorded chords because you lose a lot of flexibility in timing and tone, and there are way too many possible intervals and velocities. With the restroke function you can use every possible interval in every velocity :)
@@rawbitaudio Thank you for your response! Really good to know I can perform any chord type. This makes Spruce Steel String a great VI. Thank you so much! :)
hablando arriba cuando tocas los ritmos no se aprecia el sonido
