Disagree with the comment that bubblegum is the high water mark of his output. He has brilliance across all of his releases including his gutter twins and soulsavers output. No one album is better than the next. However I would say that when the Houston publishing demos came out it threw us back to this period of his career and reminded that his sound at that time was wonderful. The same happened with these new XX demos. The fans love that sound time but the songs he’s written have been excellent across his life.
I love the production on these recordings. It's like hearing him for the first time. His voice is finally full and clear for us all.
