Listening to these guys is total joy because they are all such monster players. Their auras are for real. This is not traditional rock streaming radio fare here. Geese's frantic jazz fusion stop-and-go's and swirling funk rhythms are difficult to play and easy to screw up. The ease by which these dudes rip through this complex material is breathtaking. Major fame straight ahead for them.
I was one of those people @ Shaky Knees in October who didn't know Geese existed but I had to leave the tacos I had just bought behind as this special band consumed my and everyone else's consciousness within earshot. The crowd continued to grow throughout their performance (a very "if you play, they will come" moment) and by the end everyone was in awe of what they witnessed or at least I know I was. Don't be an idiot, go see them live this year. You will not regret it.
It's like The Strokes with At The Drive-In's energy. Television if they were formed a decade earlier and got into prog. Talking Heads if they binged on hardcore music. A sound so unique, I can only conjure extremes from familiar anchor points. So exciting to think what this will develop into over time.
Youre so right about them conjuring extremes, every song they do is an extreme version of the genre they're playing for that specific track, and it literally rocks every single time
I just saw them play in Philly on 3/11/22 at a small club, Johnny Brenda's. I didn't know much about them before the show - they are amazing musicians playing some pretty intricate music but rocking the stage like Pearl Jam or Nirvana. I expect them to be huge. btw watch the drummer in this video - start at ~12:30 - he's unbelievable!
Super awesome. Got lucky enough enough to catch them in LA in June. Sucks they aren't coming to the west coast in their September tour, but next time they come over west I gotta see them again.
This is how you do revival guys omg! Amazing everything but special mention to the absolutely wild vocal performance! I feel like I’m in on a secret with 5.38k other people
Late reply, but if you’re catching this - On the Colbert gig, Max inventively switches up the beat a coupla times on the outtro. The band handles it completely like pros. I asked Cam, Gus (now Em!) and maybe Max himself about it. It was like light years ago for them, but essentially, they’ve been playing together for so long that they’re really REALLY tight knit so it all flows so well ❤.
I haven't felt this way about a new band since The Strokes 20 years ago. It's good to know that can still happen. Geese gives me hope.
You could say they give you goosebumps!
Strokes were mid. These are ok, still not that much tho
I have listened to this everyday for 3 months might be one of the best sets of all time
Some day people will look back at this performance and say, "How are there so few people at this show?" This band is GREAT!
straight facts
Well ,they are a brand new band ,building their following, our comments and spreading the performance can help, love The Ramones 1,2,3,4!
On their first gigs Pearl Jam and RATM just had a bunch of fans.
Straight! Bonkers!
Just got my tickets for Bridtol, UK 2022!!!

This was Fantastic! It was nice to see the crowd getting bigger throughout the set, just as the crowds will grow bigger throughout their career!
