I use Dissipate to increase the power of my smoke away/forward mixups. The smoke during certain movements helps out with not really allowing the opponent to see what is exactly happening. However, if you're using Dissipate or even better the Meter burned version, the opponent really can't see what you're going to do at all and won't be able to react.

Triborg Smoke is one of my favorite characters in MK X. He has a good diversity of good kombos, but I feel that his special moves are too much the same as those of human Smoke in MK9. I would seriously replace some of Triborg Smoke's special moves to make his special moveset more distinct from that of human Smoke.

Don't spend money on an expensive controller pad they aren't worth the money, there isn't much difference between a $300 controller and a dualshock 4. If you want to spend money on something to improve your game then get a good arcade stick either by Hori or Qanba but you have to be willing to spend at least a couple hundred dollars. Some people prefer normal controllers and some prefer stick, all I'm saying is there's very little difference between a normal PlayStation controller and a $300 razor controller, but there is a hell of a difference between a PlayStation controller and a $300 Hori arcade stick.
Are you sure that invisability doesn't do anything? Does it go away on getting hit (and no damage?) like Reptiles does? I'm guessing it's not a damage boost, because Smoke does not need that.

You have to input bf as he is doing the f+4 animation. You can't try to do the whole motion after the f+4 hits. Pretend it is an attack string and buffer the whole thing at once. f+4, then bf+1 immediately after.

Don't spend money on an expensive controller pad they aren't worth the money, there isn't much difference between a $300 controller and a dualshock 4. I find pad to be easier for the inputs but there a setting you can change that make it easier for stick
