Early Christians took the Eucharist every week

Bro..The Scripture also says do not come to the table hungry (1st Cor. 11:34 So, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in judgment.) Its not a physical meal, communion is a spiritual meal. If your were properly examining yourself before your meals it would always be cold. God looks at the Heart....its not your knowledge that Christ receives you.

You don’t take communion. You ARE the communion/Koinonia/fellowship.
You PARtake of the Lord’s Supper.

@ 5:10 stupidest logic. "As many times you do it, in remembrance of Me"- Jesus.
Also Paul doesn't say take only once a year. In acts 2:46-47 they broke bread everyday.

Hmm wrong analogy. 1cor 11: 33 a specific command to wait for one another. It is a command that has been given to the church to obey. The process is clear they ought to wait for one another, clearly not an everyday meal. Also in Matt 26:26 where Jesus instituted the feast, it clearly says as they were eating. The food was already going on before Jesus took a bread to symbolise his body, not rice or beans but "BREAD" and he took "WINE" not water or juice, to symbolise his blood. If you correctly divide the word of truth, this is not what it says. We've seen instance of Jesus blessing food in the scripture even when he was eating with his apostles - He never referred to this as the communion

Emmanuel Olumide the term “fruit of the vine” was used to describe wine or grape juice, we have to see the context to know which one a scripture refers to at the time. We know it was grape juice, because it was the time of Passover, every Jew would have gotten anything leaven out of their home already. So it had to have been grape juice, because wine is leaven.

Communion is not something you “take”. Communion is Community is The Fellowship. Communion is the Body. Communion is what you have joined by the one and only true baptism of the Spirit into Christ.

When Scripture records something that Jesus says, we are to believe exactly what He said. Our task is to discover what took place or what was taught that fulfilled His words.
Jesus proclaimed, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life. I am that Bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the Bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living Bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My Flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?
Then Jesus said unto them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His Blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth My Flesh, and drinketh My Blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For My Flesh is meat indeed, and My Blood is drink indeed. He that eateth My Flesh, and drinketh My Blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth Me, even he shall live by Me. This is that Bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this Bread shall live for ever.” (Jn 6:47-58) When all was said and done, many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him (Jn 6:66); as have the post-Reformation churches.
The Jews reaction to Jesus’ proclamation . “How can this man give us His flesh to Eat?”
Post-Reformation Churches: "He meant it as a symbol.'" "He didn’t mean it literally." This episode is to be ignored.
Jesus answered the “How” question at the Lord’s Supper when He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, “This is My Body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me.” Likewise also the Cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new testament in My Blood, which is shed for you” (Lk 22:19-20).
The Lord’s Supper is a Seder (Passover) Meal. An element of the Seder Meal is the recollection the story of how God delivered their ancestors from Egypt. In the story is the Angel of death passing over the Israelites’ homes because the blood of the Passover lamb was on the lintel of their doors. The manna from heaven that was their bread for the journey. Now, Jesus lets them know how He will make the proclamation in Capernaum a reality.
Paul teaches about this reality. “The Cup of Blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the Blood of Christ? The Bread which we break, is it not the communion of the Body of Christ? For we being many are one Bread, and one Body: for we are all partakers of that one Bread” (1 Cor 10:16-17). Communion has to do with all those who partake, partake of the one Body of Christ that underscores that each one is a member of Jesus’ Body, that is the Church He founded.
This is the Eucharist, the greatest gift that Jesus gives us, His Body and Blood under the appearance of bread and wine. Gifts are not taken, they are received.

In the very early years of Christianity “they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart” (Acts 2:46). Communion once a week may not be often enough. Breaking bread associated with eating meat with a singleness of heart, Communion.

John 6:50, the words of Jesus Christ are undeniable, “unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” They didn’t like this, and he doubled down on his words...he didn’t say “no, I just meant it’s a symbol.” The Eucharist, by an ordained Priest, becomes His body and blood, soul and divinity. It is absolutely scriptural, to deny this is to deny the words of Jesus Christ.

@ruff diamond Hi I believe that communion is for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, and He said "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."
Every single one of us has committed sin, and we all need the Blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse us from sin. We need to eat the Bread which is the Bread of Life to nourish our souls, bodies and spirits. We will die spiritually if we do not partake in the communion.
Jesus has given us a way to repent, and partake in His Supper to set us free. Yes I say it is for everyonen who believes in Jesus and I also believe we can take communion as often as we need to.
      Be Blessed

Only of those who understand its meaning and believe. Because prior to taking the meal, we repent of any sin that we are aware of and those brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit. As a teenagee i went to pentecostal church that taught sound true biblical teaching & we took communion weekly. As years went by and i attended different churches, even in my current church, we don't celebrate breaking bread weekly, let alone monthly. I really miss the weekly communion. And as we gather as a church weekly, why can't we make this remembrance of Christ's sacrifice for us a regular thing? Weekly practice doesnt make one cheapen its meaning just like seeking God through His word daily. If understood correctly and we allow Holy Spirit to examine our hearts, the communion is a powerful appreciation of who God is. I am also a tad exhausted with too much "self-focus" in many of today's sermons. As much as its intention is well, i find it further us away from God's larger plan, using us in all manners that He deems good & beneficial for us. We are all so craving for largeness we can do, that we can't hear His leading because our eyes are fixed on some sort of "greatness".

You misunderstand the Catholic teaching on this subject at 2:48. The change of the elements of bread and wine to the Body and Blood of Christ does not take place when they are given out to the people, it takes place by the power of the words of Jesus Christ, when the priest acting in the person of Christ repeats those words: "This is my body" and "This is the chalice of my blood". You don't make an argument as to why the Catholic teaching is unbiblical here, so there's nothing to refute on that subject, but I wanted to clear up the misconception about the Catholic faith.

      I'm more blessed than mary
      Proof = Luke 11:27-28
27 And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”
28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
In Luke 11:27 that random woman LITERALLY said Jesus your mother is Blessed, but are Lord Jesus LITERALLY said Believers are more Blessed than mary. Amen and Amen

46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.”

For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar- 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children- 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Cherry picking from the Bible to satisfy one's belief is not following the story of the word of God, it is a misuse of God's communication to us so that we have idea of all the wonderful things He has done for us.

The first time Jesus followers turned their back of him, his disciples nearly did as well.
Why would Jesus risk everything over something he didn't mean literally.

This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread[a] the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 Jesus[b] said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?” 61 But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Do you take offense at this? 62 Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) 65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”
66 After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.” 70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.” 71 He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.
I let the scripture speak for itself therefore whenever I take communion I truly believe and trust in what God was saying her that his body is true food and is blood true drink.
However this is the food of the spirit because the spirit will live forever not the body

No doubt. This isn't a Protestant view of the Lord's Supper. This isn't even a good "biblicist" reading of the Lord's Supper. Who is the "you" being referred to when Paul says "When you come together?" And what is the occasion Paul's referring to in which they are "coming together?"
