Just got my hands on one during the day it launched. Prints effectively right out of the box. I was perplexed and surprisingly impressed

Picking this up on Black Friday as my entry into 3D Printing. I appreciate the simple and easy instructions

Holy cow. Creality basically added all mods from thingiverse back into the printer. This thing is miles away from the Ender 3 pro I bought in 2019. Nicely done.

Still a Bowden, still a single 4010 fan for model cooling, still subpair screen, still suboptimal PSU placement...
The real upgrades are silent drivers (hopefully TMC2209 and not TMC2208), proper bed springs and bed insulation.
It is an oversized Ender 3 V2. And V2 is just a worse version of Pro...

cheers a thousand times over man that was a mission
I do have a few questions though I had to redo my entire printer bed level but had completely forgotten how to do it so I watched your video but basically my questions are when I'm levelling the four corners do I need to have any drag/friction or do I only do it just as it is starting to get friction? Also I kind of had my z offset already set while levelling the four corners will that cause me any issues as after I did the auto levelling it needed to be adjusted to the offset that I have used since I got the printer which is -2.02
    edit 2.0
I ended up doing it all over again with the offset on zero just to be sure I'm just hoping that the drag isn't just for the centre.

can't be having a glass bed personally. started with an ender 3 v2 which came with a glass bed, ended up switching to pei which has been far better, and when i picked up an ender 2 pro as a secondary, it has a magnetic bed which id also rate much higher than the glass bed.

    • @Just_Print

      Agreed, PEI is best.

When you are doing manual leveling what exactly are you doing with the paper are you adjusting the printer until the nozzle doesn't touch the paper or do you want to have the nozzle touching the paper and if yes how much I mean do you want it to cause a little fraction when you slide the paper under it or do you want the paper not touching it at all and able to move under the nozzle 100% freely without touching it at all?
Thank you very much ive watched many videos on how to do this but literally no one ever says anything about this so i am asking because i feel that this is something i need to know but no one has said what to do at all.
      Thank you very much.

Nice overview. Disappointed they still can't enable level assist while compiling the firmware, it's 2022 after all.

Overall good video, but you really need to work on the terminology and nomenclature. The "heartbreak" you kept referring to is a "heatsink". There were also a lot of other terminology issues.
Keep up the good work you have a lot of potential!

I just got one of these. I do not understand how to level this thing. I already have a plain ender 3 with no auto leveling. So I know I can level a bed. But when I manually level, then try to auto level, then print, it's still printing way too far away from the bed. How can I fix this?
I went through this three time, about nine times I manually leveled it total, just for it to be printing too high.

Did you get this resolved? Min arrived today (still in the box) and in this vid he levels the bed, then sets the z-axis offset - see 10:04.
      Did you try that step?

I am still figuring this printer out, but generally from my experience with the Ender 3 pro, you want some friction on the paper when sliding between the nozzle and the bedding.

Best I can say is make sure the nozzle is hot when you put it is as the metal can change size and make sure the bed is level with the screws either some paper then use auto levelling

I have a new Creality Ender 3 Max Neo. I’ve been printing successfully for about 2 weeks. Today, I did a short 2 hr print, then switched PLAs and started on a new print. Suddenly, when the printer attempts to home, it detects the plate, but then continues to go down and digs into the plate. Auto leveling does the same thing. I have no idea what is going on. I’ve tried adjusting the a offset way high, but that made no difference. Re-tightened some screws. No change. I’m posting a short video. Any ideas? ua-cam.com/users/shortsJR5Z86Z-YpA
