- Had my good buddy Vinny send me some goodies over and got them installed on the Poseidon. Pretty impressed with these light guys!!!

Also thankyou for listing the weights in kilograms for the rest of us in the world that aren't still trying to measure things in caveman. 😊
@ProWhiteAntiJew sadly I can't control the US there 🤣🤣🤣 But, I try to say them all because I know it isn't just the states who watch 😁
@chickensendies lol true story, the metric system has only been superior since 1800.
@@ProWhiteAntiJew I'm sure we will figure it out in another 200 years.... 🤣🤣🤣
Nice! I love the Tannus Armor w/tubes that I recently put in my Polygon T7 tires. Sure they're a little heavy, but it's so nice having that extra protection.
@@nhartigan72 yep! The extra protection and ability to run a little lower pressure if you'd like is worth it imo 😁
👊🏻
Awe i was hoping for an ozark trail upgradeand weigh in. Restoring and upgrading old road bikes is also super mesmerizing to watch and do. It's rewarding to polish the old parts. They used to do so much shiny.
@@ProWhiteAntiJew i do still need to do my final video on that.
It is very rewarding bringing an older back to life! 😁😁😁
I'm going to attempt it as my next form of therapy. Hopefully during this winter. @@chickensendies
Super glad I found this!! I wanted to get one of the Poseiden gravel bikes. The only thing that has been stopping me is the rims weren't tubeless ready & the thru axle upgrade makes it another $400 which makes it not as budget friendly. Haha. I think i may get it now cause i use gorilla tape too & also do my tubeless the exact same way as you! Thank you so much!!
Also, i forgot to ask, their new bike comes with compressionless brake housing. You think getting the Hydraulic upgrade $125, would be worth it, or the mechanical just fine with the better housing. I can't get around not having tubeless though. We have goatheads, horns & cactus all over here in Albuquerque New Mexico.
@2Philthy Glad you found it useful and also glad you enjoyed it!!! I would imagine the hydraulic would be worth it, but I also am running the original brakes, and they have been great for my uses. I do think hydraulic brakes are definitely a worthwhile upgrade though 😁😁😁
Hope that helps!
i have those gravelking tires in orange and black. I actually use my gravel bike more on the road then on the gravel and they are holding up extremely well even with those little knubs for lugs. The one thing I do't like is on my back wheel I seem to be bottoming out alot. My back rim is a little wider then my front rim so idk if maybe I need to run a higher pressure in back or what. I am running tubes and I've already gotten one pinch flat on the front wheel and 2 on the rear wheel. I'm so used to riding a mtb and not having to worry about my tires so I have to keep reminding myself I can't really be jumping curbs or riding through potholes with my gravel bike and these skinny tires.
I have only a few rides so far but I have really been enjoying them so far. I think they ride pretty well on pavement! I thin the added protection from the inserts will be nice and it never hurts to have a little extra protection while out riding HAHAHA
That’s awesome! I did way too much work now that I’ve seen this video. I did the Poseidon thru axle conversion kit and got new wheels that were tubeless compatible. It worked out okay though. Lighter wheels and I like the thru axles. I will have to check out those inserts though!
I have wanted to do that conversion but just never pulled the trigger. I think the inserts are nice though and am pretty impressed with their weight!
@@chickensendies I need to do the inserts because I can't help myself and always end up in the woods and singletrack. The wheel conversion was worth it because the stock wheels are really heavy. Thanks for the video; I always enjoy watching your stuff!
@Pedals_n_Pints I may end up looking into the upgrade again! Glad you liked it and appreciate the comment 😁
Think this tubeless setup will work on my Bontragers? Haha😅 I couldn’t resist.
Well, You never know unless you try! HAHAHAHA I do like using gorilla tape but it is a bear to get off sadly.. Gotta have the pros and cons
I know this wasn’t a video on how to tape a rim but I’m just curious did you cut an X for your valve stem or did you cut out a little circle?
Is the frame in your little closet the frame that used to be up on the shelf that needs the bottom bracket threads fixed?
@@theshedMTB maybeeeeee.... 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like going from TubeFull to Tubeless, that insert Looks like a belt, less air to add? Did you get the package 📦 of the Schrader/Presta valve connector? Good to use without worrying about the small round adapter.
Tubeless inserts definitely have the benefits there!!!
I did!!! Thank you, and I have been using them. They are VERY useful!
Firstes!!
@@blueeyedbiker681 ahhhh yea!!! 😁😁😁
