There is a limit of upto 50k INR worth jewelry carried by men and 1L worth jewelry for women that you can carry back to India. It approximately translates to 20g for men and 40g for women

You cannot carry gold bar to India. Also there is a limit of Rs. 1 lakh for females and Rs. 50,000 for males. Exceeding these limits we need to declare in customs.

Though we call them and checked for particular item I was looking and they confirmed they have but when we reach there they did not had that item and the salesmen were rude. The shop had all old ugly designs. It is just waste of time.

Mamta ji thank you for the information provided, i have visited to anvar jewellery shop. Purchased gold ornament. Staff was helpful. Thanks to Imran who assisted and helpfull in suggesting.
My real experience:
After watching this particular video I went for some Gold shopping to Anvar. Then I came to know about the real picture. I had about 22gms of gold coin that I wanted to exchange & in addition to that the balance I was ready to pay in cash or card to buy a choker. When I reached there around 11:30 am it was really crowded & the place was really small to accommodate even 10-15 customers. I don’t know how In this video it looks so big. Anyways moving to the gold, the designs are below average I would say & very common & nothing unique. After waiting for almost half an hour I was attended by one of their staff & when I asked him about exchanging the gold coins for taking a choker he started giving lots of excuses like they need approval for exchange which might take 3 working days & 7% of my coin value will be deducted if it gets approved. Then after sometime one more staff came & said clearly that if I need something I need to buy in cash only, no exchange will be entertained. Later I came to know that this hoax of zero making charges is only applicable when you buy everything in cash only. So basically if you have enough cash & design doesn’t matter to you then of course you can choose this place. So far I didn’t buy anything from them so I’m not sure about any additional hidden terms & conditions they have for zero making charges. This is the 1st time ever I’m commenting for a video just to make everyone aware so that they won’t waste their time in driving & effort especially by struggling for a parking in gold souk.
