I measured myself and I'm a shirt sleeve length 34. I have worn both a 34 and 33 inch sleeve shirt and they end up at the same location. Almost like if the shirts interchangeable. What seems to be more important is the wrist cuff width and that its long enough. Slightly too long will create somewhat baggy sleeves but this is not a big deal. The last thing you want is too short sleeves, which is irrversible
You can add up the measurements. I used a rubber band around by wrist to hold the end of the tape to measure up my arm, then I can do my own back to shoulder and add that on. It’s easy enough to feel where your spine is to get your center of your back, amd measure to the where you left off from the starting spot on the hand with rubber band at the wrist-up to shoulder. I left it a little long when placing the band on, to gently tug it into place when I got the tape to my shoulder. It’s often hard to find a good woman’s shirt to wear underneath things, they have ugly patterns or I just can’t get something as simple as a basic shirt , so a couple of men’s shirts does the job.
Wait….”to the wrist to the first knuckle of the thumb” *…but…measures to first knuckle of index finger*…..well….which is it? If it’s a coat, or sweater I wouldn’t think finger knuckle long is too long….but if it’s for like, a dress shirt, you’d look like a child. Then again, is this assuming the the sleeve cuffs will be roll back once? What kind of shirt is this measured for??? What if the material is stretchy?! I neeeeed clarity! @~@
🤣 I absolutely love this comment. It is like you looked into my soul and became me..to show my neurotic-Ness? Is that a word? 🤣 probably not doesn't matter you get me. Not like you'll check back 6 months later but you might... see, what I mean? Neurotic sympatico.
@@AimanEzzat95 I thought that until I had to check a measurement . I think it’s because when one stretches their arm froward they need enough room that the cuff travelling back up the arm does not restrict movement.
this is perfect for me because i have four hands
I almost spit my drink out. Yeah, I'm gonna need to phone a friend too.

@@eyesonyourownpaper2276 well I checked on your comment and it’s forever immortalized
Shouldn't it be from the arm pit to the middle of the hand?
That's what I thought too!
No, it's from the tongue.

wat how do u measure urself on this lol
@forsupernovae I was wondering the same thing too!😂😂
i got 40
and nobody bothered to invent arm length from the actual arm and not the neck area? lol😅
@user-yj9fk9ns1i Iunno then they should invent lil material on top of arm length, anyways don't summon me after 7 months napping in my coffin hmph...
Everyone's chest or clavicle is different, which affects the length.
@@user-st3vg2mf3z This is why we measure the chest, but may as well call it neck to arm length not just arm length lol
