Hospice is where we need to be, acceptance of reality and grateful for what we have had, celebrate what we still have. Every day counts. As Guy McPherson says. Only love remains.
It is extremely humbling to know that we all share this pivotal moment… the greatest moment in human history. Where will we go? But today is great. I mean, I’ve had a life exponentially better than any king in history. And I got to hear The Beatles, to read William Blake, to see images of the beauty of this world, to taste a plethora of foods available to us. How lucky we all are. We are so damn lucky.
Hambone Littletail is a legendary collapsatarian down here in the doomosphere. He's the one who woke me up out of my stupor as well. You guys are doing great work. Thank you for all you do. Much appreciated!
I recall Robert Hunziker emphasizing the same thing about the value of "acceptance" which you both touched on." There are diminishing miracles of life everywhere. Such as monarch butterflies, which are so uncommon now, where I live, that seeing one stops me in my tracks. Or the call of the bobwhite, which I don't hear anymore, and miss, and think about, now and then. Or the difference between the generous racket of bird songs I heard when I was a kid, and the far fewer species singing away, nowadays. This, and much more, really was the good old days, of the natural world, when there were 5 billion fewer humans.
Poor Sandy banned me a few years back for saying things like there would be no blue ocean event by now (or even this decade). And probably will STILL not admit I was right when 2030 rolls around and it still hasn't happened.
I'm not poor Sandy and I will unban you. There was more to it and you know it. I just don't like a lot of argumentative BS in my chats. You are not wrong about the ecological crisis.
@@EnvironmentalCoffeehouse If you can't handle my fairly mild and polite disagreements with other people, that makes you "poor Sandy". If you can, that would be fine, and I'd be happy to return for rational conversation. I usually try to just express my opinion and only "argue" when people demand I justify my opinions and then dismiss my explanations. Really, I feel you banned me because some people in your channel felt offended by my presence, and they pressured you.
@@Bookhermit Surely, you are not so clueless, my friend, as to not know that you have a gift for effortlessly and graciously irritating others at will, yes? 🙂
Not that I want to be lumped in with that clueless moron, Hambone Littletail, but the label "Doomerchick" is the highest accolade anyone can give any woman. Doomerchicks have more substance than any women I have ever met.
Great show Sandy and Michael! Thank You both. Two wonderful perspectives. Sandy, your Father was in the mass transit business and was squelched by the gas people, could that be a theme for a show? I loathe the fact that mass transportation is virtually non existent in my area.

Thank you Michael for your graciousness. I really enjoyed doing this with you and Jennifer and I would love to host you again.🌷
Sounds great! I suggest the last week of May or anytime in June.
I am 43 and have followed Sandy from Sweden since 2018 and still love here and your work Minister Dowd !! Peace out
Thanks!
Absolutely loved this. Thank you.
Bravo et merci beaucoup !
😍
Thank You

Good suggestion!

Thanks to Sandy and Michael for this (again) great conversation. It always brightens my day. Greetings from the Netherlands. (❤️🤍💙).🖖.
Thanks!
Great discussion! Two of my favorite people! My appreciation for both of them increased even more, if it had been possible.
Thanks!!
Thank you for your work. Enjoy all of you're moments. Love all of you that gets it.
Thanks, Robert!
Fun times!
Sandy's a trip.
Indeed!
I would love to hear an interview with the Indigenous author of "Braiding Sweetgrass." Can I get an "amen" to that?
Amen!!

Looking great Sandy!
You too Michael.

Not familiar with that one. I'll check it out.
I admire Sandy's eco-activism & clearly there is a lot more substance to her than Hambone's label of "doomer chick" !
She and Hambone have a sweet friendship, as far as I can tell. Nicknames can be fun.
