Have you seen Scar's yandere-ahh dialogue in the illusive realms event? The event has ended sadly but the wiki still has all the lines. Some of the most unhinged lines:

@@aloywong658 see the thing with the CBT 1 story outside of those cutscenes is that it was ass. Like you wouldn't even want to play that if you got that story. It would've made sense if the wariness only lasted throughout that scene but it lasted throughout the story where everyone just hates him for a reason that doesn't even make sense since they literally helped kill the crownless who fucked everyone up. Also most of the story felt like world quests slapped together rather than having an overarching plot. You can see why almost all people that say "I want CBT 1 story back" all came from UA-cam video cutscenes of CBT 1 and not the actual CBT 1 followers/players. Yes the atmosphere was really good and I wish they also kept it, but saying CBT 1 was better is just a reach. In summary what I'm saying is that the atmosphere is what carried CBT 1 not the story itself.

Pgr is definitely fun, but some stages are designed for those who like malding. The first few chapters of the main stories are kinda bland at the beginning, but with time they refined them well. You get to be patient to truly enjoy the beauty of PGR. Hope you have fun!☺☺

I really want to know more about that and in which side was he in before and which one is actually the 'right' side? Idk but I hope or he belonged to the villains or something interested like that, like he's manipulating everyone including us the one playing him since we only know the memories and visions he shares with others
Given what Scar said we could see that everyone's using Rover as a tool, especially Jué. I don't mind if it's the route they're taking, but I do mind the constant romantic implications. Pls ffs, let the characters have their own story without Rover being a big part of it, he got the entire main plot for himself.
As of rn I'm a bit disappointed with how they handled Xiangli Yao's story. I have hopes for Black shores but also scared of the Rover/Shorekeeper relationship lurking in the back.

Regarding the romantic implications I totally understand what you mean, I like otome games so for me this is basically one but set in a post-apocalyptic world ajshajajaja so the fact that everyone is hyped about Rover makes sense to me since I'm looking at the game with wrong eyes. But. Story and character wise it can be a little boring. Since it's a game I don't really mind but I know I would be so annoyed if it was an anime 😭 it would the most typical isekai harem anime to exist.
I loved Xiangli Yao's story because it just helps my case AHSHAHAHAHA his story with his friend was really pretty and I liked how they talked about the wishes and such but it's impossible not to see what they tried to do everytime he would talk to Rover. Just like Zhezhi also implying she and Rover were on a 'date' after the festival ended when they barely know each other? I love it but it does makes the game so unserious and a bit shallow in a way?
I'm also really interested in the Blackshores. Let's see how they do it with the Shorekeeper, I don't know much about the new characters lore (I don't know if there's leaks about it or not?) but I would love to see, at least, one character who doesn't like/trust Rover because so far everyone is just hyped about him.
Scar always implies to know a lot about Rover before they lost their memories so what if there's another character who also knows what Scar knows about Rover and that's the reason they don't like them?? Idk ahshahajaj the game also just started so the story is still in the beginning, let's wait and see what they do 🧐
