Hi guys! All brushes are in the description box, tysm for watching! 🥰
You're The Best ⊂(・ω・*⊂)
ive been searching for brushes like this thank u sm
@@kozpen ur so welcome!!
hii which one did u use for the colorimg? im guessing u used the sketch brush for sketch lmao
@@drkethereal5805 I used the sketch brush for pretty much everything, including the rendering, black outlines, fill colors, and yes, the sketch :)
Ccroquette is such a great artist , knowing her in person and seeing her draw in real time really demonstrate how good she is with colours and rendering. 😻
Omg ur so luckyyy, that’s so cool 💗🤭
omg...how did u get to know her irl😭😭😭
How cute! "Rendering. A technique I have been actively been trying to avoid since I started digital art" made me smile. Girly, all complex things are rendered in some way, and a lot of the softer styles do include lineart, its just more transparent and changes colors sometimes.
I don't know if you've experimented with it yet or not, but if you add a layer above your lineart and change it to clipping and blending mode multiply you can select the color of the flats you used nearby and color the lineart on this layer to make the lineart blend into the color of the skin a bit better. Similar to useing a more neutral color for a lineart color.
Oooh, this is rrly interesting thanks a lot! I’ll def try this out 💗
fun fact: YOUR IN MY TOP 3 FAVOURITE ARTISTS!!!! keep up the AMAZING work.❤
Aww that’s so sweet of you 💗 🥹
ngl ccroquette is the trendsetter, If it was Renaissance She sure will be in the front line of artists in history. She THAT good.
//your painting is so cute!
She is an amazing artist! My inspiration fr 😭✋
And the fact that she is only 20/21…
Her painting almost look like it came out from renaissance era too, in her own style.
@@Carlito54541__ frr
i believe she use a lot flat color then she blend them that why we can see some "soft things" and she push her rendering and play with the complementary color, such as warm with cold like warm could be orange and cold blue ; warm red with green cold ect...
So at the end it's the rendering she put make her art special :) she use basics theory and semi-realistic rendering and a composition for her art :)
And then she apply doll skin on their character. ^^
Yep 100% her rendering. She’s amazing with color theory too! 💗
I’ve literally been wanting to see an art study on this specific style for sooooo long you don’t even know. Thanks you 🙏🏼
I don't even do art, but this was really interesting. I liked your informative commentary with occasional silly remarks.
aww tysm!
I enjoyed this video! Loved how u broke her artstyle and your painting looks amazing!
aww tysm!!
Your art and your voice are super cute. I took a lot of notes on the stylistic choices and i think you helped me understand some key aspects of her art. Plus that strawberry was very juicy and realistic. Awesome art, I'll be checking out your channel.
Aww ur comment is so sweet thank you sm for watching 💗💗
This style of rendering reminds me of 'atsunuri', where one uses a combination of thick paints and blending the edges between colors and values to create a work that resembles an oil painting. I'm learning about it in a course on Coloso by Takashi and, I have to tell you, even painting leather using atsunuri inspired me to use this style even more!
ooh, thats rrly cool! I'l check it out, I've heard about Takashi's art! Thanks for watching
This is the best art tutorial I have ever seen! This helped me so much, I can’t even approach rendering, but it feels so much simpler now, thanks 🙏
aww, this makes me so happy Im glad it was helpful!
This is so cool!! The drawing you did for this video is amazing!!! Beautiful even!! Keep it up!!! You did amazing!!! May Yah always be with/guide you all and your loved ones in all yall do!! Stay safe and don’t give up!!!
watching this even tho i dont wanna draw like this
I appreciate you anws 💗
@@Smol_bean-xl9pl yea np!
not like u could no offense
😭was this comment necessary@@adibasn
@@zukina5323 it wasn't i just felt silly🔥
I had to pause for a moment when you mentioned rendering was a technique you were actively trying to avoid because it sounded like a huge mistake. Rendering is simply digital painting, taking a sketch to a polished piece that has volume and definition. In laymans, giving 2D art 3D qualities. It's not this secret advanced thing, don't worry!! Just because a lot of professional artists use advanced rendering techniques doesn't mean rendering itself is extrmely difficult! :D
When I said rendering, I meant the advanced kind 😭. Ik rendering itself is a broad term but I was talking about the kind that anime artists like yeej chan and WLOP use. But thank you sm for watching!!
What I'm going to say is just to be informative and not to direct hate or judgement, but sad to say the image used as a reference is an A/I image, look at the leg(s) closely. I understand it was only a reference, but I want artists to be aware, especially since Pinterest is getting flooded with these. If you don't care or even like A/I I don't care do whatever you want. But for those with a conscious or who care about artists and don't want to support the scum A/I users I want to pass on this info.
Regardless, thank you for this informative study, you did a great job!
Omg, I had no idea. I was wondering why some of the proportions were weird (like the hands) but thank you so much for letting me know. I do not support AI at all, and Ill be more aware in the future. Im glad you enjoyed the video
Ccroquette actually has a yt account where she uploads speedpaints and even tutorials!
Omg rrly?? Drop the link!
@@Smol_bean-xl9pl I'm sorry, i never subscribed to her and now i can't find her videos again 😭😭 I do have the link to an artist that uses the same painting methods as her, tho! Here's the link: www.youtube.com/@YeejChan
what’s the name of it?
@@___0dreamscometrue0___67I think YeeJ San is the name
I dont really remember that she has a UA-cam account...maybe you mixed her with Yeej chan? (their art style is really similar after all)
Wow that was an amazing analysis and a good first trial
Yeah the style is so rich and unique
I will follow her too
Tysm and yes she is an amazing artist 💗
such a cool video; love that you were so clear about your process and inspirations
Im so glad it was helpful, tysm!
omgg I was going through your channel and I love your content! I lit love ur art to btw its so breathtaking!!
Aww this is so sweet tysm!! 😭💖
UR SO GOOD AND UR VOICE IS SO SOOTHING WHAT
ahhh tysm!!
Epic video looking forward to see more🎉🎉
thanks joel! :))
I've been eyeing ccroquette since this year and now you make a video AAAAAA I'M SO HAPPY THANK YOU💖 I was surprised, she hardly use air brush??? I prefer to use blending brush instead of air brush. Air brush kinda makes my art heavy (in terms of the file). I don't want to crash my laptop tho😭 so glad to know she prefers to layer paints like a traditional artist 😭🫶🏻
Ur so welcome im glad u enjoyed the video. 💗💗 And a little side not these are all my observations I’m not entirely sure if they are true or not lol
idk how to explain it but this is like the best video ever 😭
aww Tyy this is the sweetest 😭💗
Hey there, great video! The end result looks lovely and I especially loved the glossy look of the strawberry!
You got recommended to me randomly by YT and I am really glad for that. I am looking forward to seeing more of you and your art!

This was such a great analysis! Thank you for making this video! ❤

Aww ur so sweet tysm!
your voice is so calm!!🎧🫶
Tyyy 💗
Your art piece from the video is so amazing❤
aww tysm!!
Ooh, I love this artist!
me too!
I think you should be bolder with the colors. Ccroquette uses bold color contrasts with shading that really allow her pieces to pop. I think what you did on the leaves is a good example of this. Maybe not having a defined light source hindered you being able to have darker stronger shadows.
I appreciate the feedback, and I completely agree. I was kind scared to layer bolder colors but I will use this feedback in future drawings. Thank you so much!!
this looks amazing!! tysm for the inspiration!!
ur welcomee
I absolutely love how u explain things 💙 Thank u so much
aww ur the sweetest thx!
i love ur voice sm
aww tysm!!
I liked your piece, but i think a little more darker shadows on the skirt would help the drawing❤
tysm for the feedback and thanks for watching!!
Great YT channel name. Shouted Smol bean before started painting. Appreciate the video!

Rendering is really cool process, i think it would be called super rendering? Im quiet impatient and really hated doing line art but once i learned the rendering process it was a game changer and it felt so much better. I had more control on the detailings and it may take a lot of time but i enjoyed the rendering process itself
thats so cool and Im so happy for you! For some reason, I always resort to lineart, but I really want to try out rendering, esp because of how beautiful the results are!
When you added outlines, were the lines black? Because they look so soft and blended to the colors. Great tutorial, too! It really helps to hear the thought process of how you learned
Hi! No they arent pure black, I chose a dark red to tie in the color of the strawberry. Pure black looks rrly cool too tho!
I found this very helpful and informative please make more if you could x3
I def will!!
I absolutely disagree with your statement about brushes. Especially if you have wrist shoulder issues from drawing and you draw a lot and fast (I draw 2 whole colored comic pages each day) then you NEED the perfect fitting brushes or you will be slow a s a snail and worse of all have heavy pain. For example I love some sketch brushes that won't work on vector lineart layer because they have changed characteristics (sadly TT) i have my lineart pencil I modiefied over the years so I can draw extremely fast clean linearts, I have special cell shading brush and blur tools etc. and when it comes to backgrouns with natural environment it is key for me to have tons of vegetation brushes. also square brushes, 3 types of airbrush (one default, one multiply one highlights so you can draw it all fast one one layer etc)
on paint tool sai it is great to use certain marker and brushes which I can paint whole arts with it that is true. but for things like manga/webcomic where you ned a consistent art style and coloring style , certain brushes are mandatory and the more the better.
I definitely agree with you but what I meant was for artists staring out with digital art if you are too hung up on brushes that could be a bad thing. But I definitely see how different styles call for different measures and I have seen some artists use multiple brushes and still have amazing drawings. Thank you for watching!
5:12 your so real for this😭 I always give up and start tracing my reference 😞🙏
😭
You can use rendering and line art. There's a few tutorials with line art. Actually isn't line art better because you know where the body stops?
I’m sure you can, I was just basing this off of croquette’s style! And either is good depends on your preferences and desired results
Ccroquette art style looks so similar to YeeJ Chan you should check them out!
Omgg, I love them sm!! And yes it does
Honestly, since starting digital art eons ago, rendering is my enemy too. I get you.
😭🤝
Sorry, but. Here, a sub. I love the vibe here! Wish you a good luck on your art journey!

Salut 👋 je vient de tomber sur ta vidéo est honnête tout est incroyable dans ton montage la musique que tu utilises …
Le rendu final est vraiment bien

The thing is their art gives a balance by contrast in colors. You should try to add more saturation(i love blend mode soft light Lol). Try looking at your art in b&w. Plus the picture doess have a light its like ambient thingyyy and The picture is actually bad to use when youre practicing bcs the light is hard to figure out. The picture have a main light and the bouncy light. Anyways im sleepy im sorry if i offend you my words are bad if me sleepy anyways i checked your channel keep up the good work i like it!!!!
Thanks for you comment, Ill make sure to keep those tips in mind!
I’m gonna try to render without line art from the same reference wish me luck🤧

what app did you use to record the whole painting process at the end? how can it be stationed like that, without zooming in or out?
For the first part with the zooming and zooming out I used screen record and for the second part I used procreate's timelapse feature

Omg I didn’t even know she had a Facebook 🫢
Please tell me how did you do the soft skin painting ? Like what is the prcoess in steps for that soft skin look ?
I kind of just use a big brush size to fill in the skin and then I blend out all of the layering colors. I have a full coloring tutorial on my channel tho 💗

Rendering frequently uses line art. It's very common.
oh ok, I was not aware of this lol. Thanks for letting me know
Thanks this really helped me! But I need some help I don't have a lot of money but want to get into digital art and only have a PC and drawing with a mouse is almost impossible do you have any tips for me? :Edit also what drawing software do you use/i should use?
Ooh ok, let’s see. I use procreate for drawing mostly but that’s 20 dollars on an iPad. It’s only 10 in an iPhone though and you can buy a stylus which is usually pretty cheap. The downside to that would be staring at a small screen for a long time. There are free drawing softwares like out there too like Krita but it might take a while to get the hang of. i hope that kinda helped, lmk
@@Smol_bean-xl9pl Thanks this really helped :D PS: I. Love your art keep up the great work! :3
