It also means if they dont invest in her, she can make money by going to the papers and tarnishing their names for putting a poor, helpless little girl in a wheelchair, by being too mean. Notice the offers she racked up after returning. What a great student
Because of the success of Levi Roots, people would pick Peter. At times i think Peter is too overrated. The participants should really think about which Dragon is more appropriate for their business. Tej is already established in the medical industry, he would definitely have helped her to advertise her product in the right places and Touker could have helped to drop cost of production (fabrics and all)

What Corien said at the end was absolutely true that they try to break you then at the end they want you. Peter is the worst at this, he puts your business down and in the end he makes you an offer but he did it all in the guise of trying to get a better deal because he really likes it.
Peter is cunning, the moment he sense the business is too risky and many flaws he will try to eat the pitcher by asking a high equity stake, mind you, 10% is not an easy figure to simply hand over to an investor
I’m a medical device entrepreneur and it’s a lucrative market and I understand their interest. You need to know many top doctors across the globe, get an FDA, CE, and patents, patents, patents! Man, I know Deborah and Peter are the big names and anyone would be lucky to have them, but Touker and Tej were surely the better team. They were passionate and way better aligned. Touker wanted that badly. Deobrah's pitch was 'I know someone in a wheelchair!'
@@mmckenzie8085 You'd only be doing that because they're OG dragons and the bigger names, though, not because they were better suited. Touker specialises in textiles and Tej specialises in the health/medical industry. They were clearly a better fit here and would have been the sensible move.
Jenny was so nasty to this woman in this episode. Constantly reminding her she is a distinction student when that has absolutely nothing to do with her feeling the pressure of the den and forgetting her numbers, which isn’t ideal but is forgivable. I’m so glad they got her off the show, Jenny is a nasty woman who is just unnecessarily rude to entrepreneurs in the den, Sara Davies is such an amazing replacement.

I agree, something like that often happens to me. And, alright, I'll admit it, we're jealous that they get away with it and we are not using that tool, or it doesn't work for us!
When she said she was blacking out, literally everyone reacted immediately. Don’t forget these videos are heavily edited to make them more interesting and suspenseful to watch. Plus, when someone is going through something like that, the last thing they need is 50 people crowding them. She had a chair to sit and the men offered their waters. Whether she was acting up or not, I loved the way all the gentlemen got up immediately to help her 👏
I love the way y’all talk it’s so different than in America. In America we just say acting lol, acting up is what our kids do when we say no at the grocery store. These comments are always so interesting to me. 😂
She did look a bit shaky
@@AshNikkosWife that's essentially what they where getting at tho
@@NTxC no she didn't 😂 she was fine
But feminists will call us sexist for doing that.
I know the banana was for her blood sugar but the way they just transitioned suddenly to her eating it while being wheeled out was pure comedy
I think it's the single most tragic moment in dragon's den history 😂
She came in with her product the ‘wheelchair’ and was rolled out in the ‘wheelchair’ holding a banana ... I didn’t see this coming...
oh god the irony xD
U r a baddie!! Karen I can’t stop laughing
Jenny - I don’t use wheelchairs, therefore I’m up and about.
Jenny has 2 strapping lads at home who could take her OUT
Up and OUT*
Wtf lol
How careless
They teach you the "Im gonna pass out" tactic in uni, at distinction level. Its a good tool for diversion apparently
That's diversity for you.
Lmaooo! No they dooooont! 😂 😂
It also means if they dont invest in her, she can make money by going to the papers and tarnishing their names for putting a poor, helpless little girl in a wheelchair, by being too mean. Notice the offers she racked up after returning. What a great student
Well, it worked 🤷🏼♂️
The camera angle of her on the wheelchair with a banana _sent me_
At least she had a wheelchair nearby....
I feel bad for Tej and Touker they never win against the older dragons
Touker is pushing 70 he’s the oldest one there
@@rabd9881 he means they’ve been on the show longer
Because of the success of Levi Roots, people would pick Peter. At times i think Peter is too overrated. The participants should really think about which Dragon is more appropriate for their business. Tej is already established in the medical industry, he would definitely have helped her to advertise her product in the right places and Touker could have helped to drop cost of production (fabrics and all)
Last video I watched they were chosen over P&D by he creators of Pouch. Even Jenny was in with them, it was quite surreal.
@@vecust I agree
She damn showed she was a distinction student when she played that fainting trick and turned things around. Kudos!
She needed to go out and look at the famous sheet ;)
is that what they teach you at private school?
imagine when they opened the elevator door she was passed out in a pile on the floor.
😂
They should allow entrepreneurs to bring their notes during a pitch.
That’s no fun.
Be afraid - be very scared when Peter Jones start asking the questions. The rest of the dragons rely on him to unveil the skeletons from all these entrepreneurs.
He is the oldest dragon, I was wondering the pitchers dont bring a calculator when entering
Jenny : She is way prettier than me and for that reason im out
This was such B.S. She couldn't even forcast future sales and ducked out of the situation with black out excuse. Still had 4 dragon offers. I think Jenny might have been accurate in her assessment.
Standing in front of 4 business tycons who are grilling you, having cameras on you and knowing the fact that you messed things up. She had Disabling anxiety I am sure you would have peed in your pants.
@@ammadkhan2085 First of all you do not know me personally. No need to talk bullshit. People with such difficulties can come prepared with written data on a sheet. Use your brain man or are you still thinking from elsewhere?
I agree, this just goes to show the privilege pretty women have, any other entrepreneur would be crucified and shamed out of there. Not to mention selling a product that improves quality of life for disabled people at such a high margin is disgusting.
@@kazimraza6278 they aren’t allowed notes though, the figures have to be from memory
@@myopicthunder yeah, it’s completely unethical in my book
Costs of manufacturing can be enormous. £75K will only cover the patent, if they can get it.
They probably will and go on to invest more and more until she’s left with 1% of a very successful business. I’ve learned my lesson…
He does it to get the other dragons out then snipes the deal at the end 😂
People do this with used cars, just point out every fault you find and then make them a low offer. Meet in the middle, happy days
@@audibleadventures9004 well yeah you pretend you don't like the car and give a low offer so you will "take it anyway" if you show you really like the car the seller is going to give a high price
This could be argued as a medical need, so insurance will pay for it. Frankly, I think the idea is genius and I hope she succeeds!
yeah stinting the NHS always a good idea amirite?
Like a budgie with a blunt beak, born to succeed.
Insurance doesn't pay for anything. If you don't receive benefits, you buy everything yourself
Insurance usually finds an excuse not to pay out.
It depends which country you live in.
You can tell Debra and Jenny knows she’s faking it
Why did no one asked for Patents. if she has patents then its a completely different game
Yash Thakar cant patent when involving disabled wheelchair
@@harrysmith3495 i was not aware abt that law in UK.. thanks
All she needs now is patients and patience…😁
Yash Thakar they probably did, I’m sure some stuff gets cut
They probs did and she said yes and presented the patent and it wasn’t interesting so it was cut
Medical aids and equipment are expensive, I think her pricing is about right. It's the kind of thing you buy once and hopefully lasts for many years.
They can be - but used mobility scooters priced at >£1000 sell far easier than £3500 new ones. So anyone bringing out a similar product to this for £100 would crash their sales
This just proves you can spend another 5 years in schooling can’t even beat experience
She also went from fashion to MBA which means she had no base knowledge to take on MBA although she says shes a distinction student. Seems like shes the type to get what she wants by crying
Fax
eh, she also got involved in an area that was not entirely related to what she studied at university. Had she kept on with her fashion plan, she would have done better.
@@RocksmithPdl And taking advantage of her looks. That wink she did 😜 before she walks in the den proved just that.
I cannot stop laughing at her being wheeled out in the wheelchair holding the banana😭
Poor girl probably felt mortified but now has investors and now probably can laugh about it.
Man, I know Deborah and Peter are the big names and anyone would be lucky to have them, but Touker and Tej were surely the better team. They were passionate and way better aligned. Touker wanted that badly. Deobrah's pitch was 'I know someone in a wheelchair!'
However I must admit if that was me I would have gone with Peter and Deborah :)
@@mmckenzie8085 You'd only be doing that because they're OG dragons and the bigger names, though, not because they were better suited.
Touker specialises in textiles and Tej specialises in the health/medical industry. They were clearly a better fit here and would have been the sensible move.
Yeah but Deborah and Peter are white
I agree, and touker really fought for it.
@@FolksFox Honesly, people NEVER choose Touker and Tej over Peter and/or Deborah. I would have in a heart beat gone with T&T
Peter’s brain was in his pants on this one, I’ve never seen him invest in someone who didn’t know their numbers like that.
😂
Hahhahaha
He didn't care about the numbers cause he knew it will do well
U hear his kiss at the end
Lol I know this is late. But I felt all the men were attracted to her. I've seen a number of episodes where they rip people to shreds for not knowing their numbers
8:10 she was seeing all black, but suddenly can see where to sit down and turns that way.
She's obviously lying.
The 2 ladies not buying it
I agree, something like that often happens to me. My sugar will drop and I either pass out very quickly, or I have to sit/lean against something and 1 of 2 things happen: I either stop talking (because I literally can’t see or hear anything) or I become incoherent. I could tell she wasn’t really “blacking out”. Maybe slightly dizzy due to her blood pressure going up, but not blacking out
The look Tej and TS Gave each other when Peter gave his offer was more like “wtf brah” 🤣
Classic business strategy: Enter room, tell everyone you're a distinction student, someone asks a question about money. "I'm sorry, I think I'm going to pass out. I only see black."
As long as it isn't red lol
7:42 Jenny really irritated me with the “ But you’re a distinction Student” so what just because she’s really good at academics she’s still human it doesn’t mean she can’t get flustered or forget numbers… I’m so glad she was only on for around two or three seasons Jenny was so useless 🤧
Getting wheeled out in her own wheelchair she brought. I'm DEAD. No way this wasn't scripted, or the universe knows irony.
What is ironic about that?
@@Funintherain13 Your face.
It's so cool how the only time I see someone about to pass out on the show, they happened to have their own wheelchair.
Jenny one minute after being born: let me tell you where I am I'm out.

😂
I love how back then theyre saying "Thats pretty expensive" and talking about lowering the cost etc. Just checked it costs £750 now ahah
She's only interested in improving the lives of people on wheelchairs if they are middle or upper class.
They didn't invest tho
@@jimmyneutron129 That doesn't mean the business is over, it just means that the people on the show didn't invest. That doesn't stop others from investing and it doesn't mean the product will never be successful.🤦

2) She's a honor student
3) She didn't faint completely

Evan: what's driving her ambition
When under pressure, pass out at your leisure 😉
Amd then the next thing you know the dragons are making you offers
Blood sugar levels mean something. I can see someone being too nervous to eat before so their blood sugar drops and then the black out.
😂😂😂😂😂 this just cracked me up
Maple Leaf Exactly! This is a pretty normal reaction to nerves/stress. It’s happened to me enough times. I don’t find it funny and don’t believe she faked it
@@rocketdolly69 Best of luck to the inner you to force some sugar in on moments like this :) Type of person I would carry an extra fruit bar or something just in case they needed it. Touker: "you should take my offer because your wheelchair needs free office space"
Jenny looks a bit silly when she is out early then everyone else is fighting for the deal
Its not about the business its the person she's investing in.
Don't like Jenny but she's spot on here
@Joy Georgina and yet it now retails for 850 - somewhat more than the 575 mentioned. It's not as cheap to make something like this. Its not a toy
She's actually smart as most new businesses fail. This will need a lot of work.
Doesn’t matter cuz Jenny is broke and has no money to invest anyway
"Sit down here." So convenient they had a wheelchair at hand. 😆😆😆
Why is she not allowed to just refer to her list of calculations? Why does she HAVE TO know everything by heart? And also, being a distinction student doesn't automatically mean you will remember everything perfectly and be able to do complicated calculated within seconds.. wth kinda toxicity is that?
Yes I agree. But I'm sure it's to the benefit of the show. Otherwise it would just be looking at spreadsheets and figures. More realistic but definitely less entertaining.
lmao this was hilarious, the way they forced her to pass out and surrounded her like a gang, and then she says her sugar levels are low, so she is wheeled out on her own product eating a banana.
The perfect pitch.
It's one of the tests you have to pass on Dragons Den.
„It‘s like they’re trying to break you“
He literally just asked her the numbers, smh
I bet she pretended she was fainting so she could sneak a quick look at the sheet where she wrote all the figures down 😂
14:18
"'Cuase I don't want you to have it!"
Given how many deals Peter has snatched away, that is probably the truest statement Touker has said in quite a while 😆
I just love how women neverrrrr feel bad for other women lol, when she was feeling unwell the both of them had such stern looks while the guys all got up
That's because 90% of the time when a woman says she's unwell, and/or she begins to cry, or faint, it's totally FAKE!!! And we other women who don't do that are sick and tired of the manipulation. And, alright, I'll admit it, we're jealous that they get away with it and we are not using that tool, or it doesn't work for us!
@@CassendreXavier hello there woman, where did you get that 90% statistic from 😑
@@irmalair1 excellent question mate. I would also like to know the answer to that question
If the women had stood and the men didn’t, you’d be saying they aren’t men at all for not helping.
This is why I dislike my own sex. Men are more compassionate!
Ah Jenny’s out we didn’t see that coming
Haha, I laughed so hard when I saw all the guys running to her to help like knights xD
Her then wheeled out with a banana was the cherry on the top. Pure comedy gold.
