Also grades are a very serious thing in Japan. The better your grades, the better highschool you can get into, and thus the better college you can get into. There are some jobs that won't even look at the rest of your application once they look where you went to school. Think of the difference between Stanford and a state college, and that starts in Highschool in Japan.

The students must have their hair up, but if it's too short it can't. Your hair can't be in a bun, or messy. Only one type of earring is allowed. We have mufti days about 3 times a year, and we can only wear blue, pink, yellow or purple during those days. There's more, but that's the jist of it, lol.

The teacher only exists to move the plot forward. Also, the school roof is pretty much their cafeteria. Ignore the actual cafeteria. That's where monsters attack.

You should have made it 10 things and mention: 1...how frequent students are tested compared to the rest of the world...2: that students are always sleepy because of Club activities....3: that only recently students aren’t mandated to go to school on Saturdays....4: all schools have a festival and how unique their sports days are...5: that every school and every room in and around every school has many clocks. Students and teachers are rarely late.

    My schools uniform rules:
    No branded clothes
    Black shoes only
School uniform including tie and blazer
    Only v-neck jumpers allowed
Only allowed white black or purple clothing
Backpacks only (no other bags to hold things in)

Here is a tip for those going to a Japanese school:
If you just meet someone please use the suffix -san with their last name
(EX: Tamahashi-san). You can call them with their first name if you’ve known them for a long time.
Please use the suffix Sensei with a teacher. It is basically how foreigners say Mrs. (Last name).
    (EX: Tamahashi-sensei).
If you are entering a Japanese elementary school, let your parents teach you how to cook due to the elementary not letting you bring lunchboxes (Only the high school brings them).
You cannot bring your cellphone as it is considered as a distraction. You would also need to walk home, and try to memorize where you live. (Or, you can take a bus. Don’t worry, 6+ children can travel alone.
You cannot slouch around in cleaning time.

    "Beginning with junior high..."
Nah, even sooner. The elementary school near my apartment has a uniform.
Also it's more like summer break is 1/3 as long as it is in the states. They basically just get august off. For reference, imagine if summer school in american schools was mandatory. That's how long the school year is.

if you are in middle school or high school you probably have someone with super powers somewhere in your school.
it is not as common in elementary schools.they usually sit next to the windows.

This explains a lot of the traits and characteristics found in both anime and video games (such as the Persona series). There are more interesting facts that were missed, but this list gives you a good jump-off point. But, no, students do not have gravity-defying hair or unique hair colors in real life.
