  • I recently bought my first teardrop trailer and she needs some love! Here's everything I've done so far to restore and upgrade my 2012 Little Guy 5-wide RV camper.
We're going on our first road trip this week! Wish me luck!

Someone will be along, who knows more than me. It looks to me like someone was trying to turn the 4-pin into a 7-pin connector. This would be really important if you have breaks on your trailer, want to trickle charge your battery, or want back-up lights, I think. I don't, however, have a clue whether what they were trying to do would have succeeded. There may be a better way to accomplish the same thing. Again, someone with an actual clue will likely turn up. I do have 7-pin, because I couldn't get by without brakes. My square drop is a little heavier at around 1500 lbs., and brakes are essential for stopping safely. Congratulations on your little camper, though. You will have a blast.

Thanks! That does make sense. My trailer doesn't have brakes so other than a trickle charge the 7 pin wouldn't do much. But now I have these wires just hanging around 😅
