My mom gave me one of these bulbs a couple months ago. I didnt know how to care for it either. I just planted it in soil with the sprout part sticking out, watered it when it looked dry, and it bloomed. Was amazing! It's a big leafy plant for me right now :)

Sir I was gifted some football lily bulbs in July. There were no flowers but good leaves. I had planted them in combination of soil cocopeat and vermicompost. Till now the leaves are green. Should I dig out bulbs and air dry for planting again in March or should I leave them as is?

We have these lilies at home. The rhizomes stay in the soil and every year during the onset of the monsoon, the plants will come up and flower. No care needed, no fertilizing.

I am facing problem with the caterpillar like insects destroying these plants. These caterpillars also destroys other type of Lilly (some of them brought from Sikkim). These caterpillars are coloured ones. Kindly advice how to desteoy these when infected.

When to uproot the football lily bulb after growing
I have this plant. Every year, the flower comes. But, since this winter (I'm in North India), the leaves have fallen. Its barren. The bulbs are intact. Still, nothing as yet. Usually, its green by now & a flower also comes.
