Handgun Quick Clean: Atlas Athena 2011

- Cleaning a high end 2011 style pistol like the Atlas Gunworks Athena doesn't have to be a crazy long process... in fact it usually takes me less than 10 minutes to knock out a quick clean on this pistol to get it back into tip-top shape.
Of course running Radco CLP makes the whole process that much better! The thinner oil penetrates making the carbon wipe off with ease. Getcha some here: bit.ly/RadcoCLP

Good information. I just held an Atlas Athena in my hands yesterday. I’m willing to sell my Staccato’s to get one now. I love it.
Oh yes... once you go Atlas it's hard to shoot anything else.
@@Joe_Farewell I believe you.
I have an xc. Seriously thinking about trading it in towards an athena. Am I ignorant for this?
@@a.d.c7941 No. I love my Athena. I do miss my XC sometimes, but every time I shoot my Atlas I’m reminded of why I upgraded.
Thank you so much. Really makes me feel better about my choice. Im excited to have my first Atlas and the Athena is my choice.
Q tips - indispensable cleaning tools. Fit perfectly in the rails and other hard to reach spots, they can also be dipped in your favorite cleaning solution and/or lube. Best of all - they’re cheap as hell.
Great info!
Thank you I just watched this to clean my Artemis
Hell yeah! Love to hear it.
Good video. Thank you.
Just got myself a hyperion and wow I can see where my money went ,I get that robin hood song stuck in my head often lol .
Ohhhhh yeah you already know!
Wow you have no idea how my face lit up as soon as the video started and I heard you whistle. Immediately was 5 years old again
Thanks!!!!
Sure thing!
Great video but one slight correction...The "P" actually stands for Pterodactyl.
Would like to know if this Athena with say 3.5 pound trigger be fine for duty or carry/self defense as I am thinking of this handgun, but used for more carry and defense
The Athena is definitely a good option for duty/carry. That being said, I would personally choose the Ares for concealed work as it's a lot lighter weight and you can port the barrel.
Did you spray clp on the firing pin channel? I thought that’s a big no no.
Update ?
what holster are you using?
It's my signature series from Priority 1 Holsters. You can check them out here:
