Thank you for another very well done and informative session. You have definitely become part of my Sunday routine. Facts only seem to matter to reasonable people who are able to figure things out on their own instead of being guided through life because of their own weaknesses and the need for other to tell them what to think and how to act.
David - You are doing a fine job on your channel and I really appreciate your work. In all the forms and channels I have ever looked at they're always seems to be a large collection of trolls under every bridge waiting to rear their ugly heads. If I don't like something I simply turn it off and go on. Please try to ignore them as best you can and keep up the good work. Many of them have nothing to do except to look for something to criticize. Stay safe and stay the course and your membership will continue to grow. JRN
Thanks so much John for the heads-up, really appreciate it. I am glad you like my clips and the topics here and that counts more than those sad deplorables. Stay safe, and hope to see you soon. 😀🙌🏽
I’m enjoying your videos. Refreshing to see someone address the complainers. Unfortunately most of them are immune to facts and aren’t happy unless they’re being contrarian.
I greatly enjoy your balanced and well thought out videos. Please keep them coming. You might have mentioned this before, but what are your different use cases for the Fujifilm X100VI vs. the Leica D-Lux 8? Does it depend on the degree of portability or are there other factors?
Hi, David! I found my answer in your previous video "Leica D-Lux 8 vs. FujiFilm X100VI: Why I Need Both." ua-cam.com/video/h6O2P92bohU/v-deo.html Thanks again!
Thank you very much. FFX100VI is a totally different camera with 40MP etc etc competing with Leica Q2 and 3. Therefore it is my work camera and I also take it with me when I need the best image quality available to me. Leica DL8 is my everyday camera, small, portable, awesome IQ despite m4/3 and since this model a true Leica. I hope this helps you and I am here for more questions. 😀
I preordered from every Leica store in America at the end of July and called every week instead of waiting for them to call and got lucky August 26th when I called the Leica store in D.C. and they had a few. Then a couple of days later I started getting calls from the other Leica stores that my preorder was ready to ship if I still wanted. Don't wait for non Leica stores to ship one in my opinion.
I pre-ordered mine at Digitalstore Vienna ON ANNOUNCEMENT DAY. As I repeatedly stated in my videos, and of course I am talking from a European perspective, I am not even Austria based but I came to appreciate their expertise and customer service years ago and I make it a point to go to Vienna when I need/buy cameras which I always combine with a workshop there. Finally, I got mine at Digitalstore Vienna on release day. Since I also reserved at other stores, I recently received a phone call from Leica Vienna, so I think availability is getting better. I really enjoy the new model 😀
David, I am really confused. Why are you comparing the Leica Q2 (released in 2019) to the X100VI (released in 2024)? Even the Q3 is older than the X100VI (2023 vs 2024).
@@DAVCOHPHO sorry, still confused. I can go into most Leica shops and pick up a Q3. Still a multimonth wait to get the Fuji X100VI. Please help me understand.
David..."the Fujifilm X100VI is technically on par if not superior to the Leica Q2" should not be a revelation to anyone. The Q2 was designed and then released 5 years before the X100VI. If you are going to compare a Q to an X100, maybe compare two technologically current cameras, like the Q3 and X100VI. Still a year apart, but at least not 5 years apart.
If you're going to the effort of posting a video, perhaps you could get the audio correct. Your vocals are only on the left. This is uncomfortable listening with headphones.
Enjoy your thoughtful comments on this wonderful equipment. Also agree we need to show compassion to our fellow human beings, but why do you need to thrust your political views into this discussion? Seemed jarringly out of place here. FYI, conservatives contribute much more to charity than their liberal counterparts in the US, so that is putting money where their hearts are, not just hot air. Peace to all.
Thank you for your comment. 😀I regularly criticize Bernie Sanders and my comments you refer to covered an entire political situation which IS sad. I am anti-woke, even though I am in the European (and true!) sense socially woke but on foreign affairs and national security I have always been a hawk. Reagan would have expelled Trump and what he did to Liz Cheney is more than despicable. I CERTAINLY DO NOT support neither Biden nor Harris and a party that allows AOC, Ilhan Hamas and Trashida Talib is un-American. Nevertheless, I will decide what I am talking about and what I am referring to and how.😉🙌🏽
Enough already, David. You have made your criticisms known. It's time to move on and just discuss photography. People are going to think what they think; you cannot change that. We have heard your opinion of others' opinions. We get it. And we will tire of your incessant complaining. Do photography instead, please.
Like a wise man once said … „Never feed the trolls!“ It‘s an already lost war to fight.

Excellent video…been waiting for my DL8 since July. My Leica dealer is expecting their 2nd
I wish you good luck 😀

@@imchuckmiller Always with great pleasure 😀
Just a question, why is the video autofocus pulsing between your face and the background
@@SamChihabi Because I was moving and the camera was quite close.
@@DAVCOHPHOwas it set up with eye detection as it went to the background focus? Would a fixed manual focus stop the hunting?
@@andrewcrossley2448 I can't remember and I gave an explanation above.
Just curious, how long is it normally taking to receive the D lux 8? Ordered mine 6/7/24

Because we are talking about potential and not release dates. Already the V was a serious contender.

Whatever, you either do not get the point of such comparisons or you do not want to. I don't see how to continue this conversation ...
plus ... I did that too. So please, listen to my video, find Hugh Brownstone's on this issue etc etc etc.
Trump supporter here, aka proud deplorable lol! I agree with you on the camera aspects, at least.
