I totally agree with you, i thought the same thing when i watch his show few years ago. But one thing that we all thai people has to agree is that, this is just his character. It doesn't always have to be his personality. Woody is one of the top TV host in Thailand where we are all proud of, I admire him alot as me, normal person can't even be as good as half of him so i can't have opinion on him, we all Thai fan love him and his work .. fin!!
In Thai words "you can die with your eyes closed" means she made everyone proud and the country proud that. IF she dies there would be no worries because she did great things. I am Thai and I say it often like oh my little baby is now in a university. I can die peacefully with my eyes closed now! Woody is like this and this is why people like him. i haven't heard anything about the movie "The Lady" at all. any body know when or whether it will be in theater here in the us? i really like to see this movie. thank you for any information.
When he said "you can die now", I think she was a little bit shock. But when it's been translated into English, it doesn't sound good at all. It's actually a Thai saying, when something incredible or great has been succeeded people would say "can die with eye closed", meaning no worries.
Suu Kyii has spiced up all the entire world lifes, and you do not know people might not have this kind of 'guts' that willing to challenge the leader of the country !
The interviewer talk to much and I personally feel he is a bit arrogant. Michelle is just so humble and polite, she is a great person. Hey interviewer please use formal language when you're interviewing
I like how the rich and famous people all say they have to go to gym along with special diet and workout to stay skinny, for the rest of us who are sometimes too poor to eat three meals a day, that's how we stay skinny! :)
She said the barge trip was a "little choppy along the way" and the subtitle translated to her doing little "shopping" along the way. haha. Bad translator!
