Holly was one of my greatest bosses and best friends! I played steel and acoustic for her in 1996 before she semi-retired from the biz. She was and will always be one of the classiest ladies of the Opry! RIP my friend! See you soon!
God needed another angel, he chose Holly Dunn. spread your wings and fly Holly, it's your time to go home. l will greatly miss you. I have always been one of Holly's biggest fans, will always enjoy her music as if she's still her.
one of my favorites who the country scene screwed over, she was a major talent but never gained the fame she truly deserved.. Rip Holly you are missed by your fans
This was from Holly Dunns later period. Sadly, the songs that were chosen for her were not as good. By then, Garth Brooks had entered the scene, setting new standards and nearly destroying the country music revival. The 80s was the last decade when country music was pure, but there are a handful of artists keeping it alive, including Dwight Yoakam.
Unfortunately that wasn't something she could be open about back then. If only she could have come out with 'Cowgirls Are My Weakness' instead, that would certainly have sent a shockwave through Nashville!

There were a LOT of female voices going on back in the early '90s. But I loved her as much as any of the others, that's for sure.

I like this song but It's misleading. Holly's into the cowgirls, not that there's anything wrong with that.

@@sailis1809 It sure would. And she would been kicked out of show business.
Too much of the backup vocals.
