This feels so strange: My favourite game gets an update and I feel a bit nostalgic and sad. I hope, it will stay Hunt after all. Hunt was such a blast the last few weeks.
don't worry, I'm sure they're gonna mess it up.
Everything is changing, other games get updates as well, not a big deal. Most things will be the same or improved, it doesn't make sense to feel sad. :D
they should make it 2 variants of this game as WoW did the normal version and the classic version

still think it’s crazy how they added these throwing spears and have yet to tone them down. just feels like a way better option compared to all the other melees and throwable melees
It's because they don't update the game. Hunt literally gets like 6 patches a year

hello new hunt! with a bullets flying like a crossbow bolt (i hope not, but bullet drop from uppercut starting from 15 meters scares me)
I think, i'am not sure about that, but they said the bullet drop will be effectif at long snip range so 90m + and it will be worse for long ammo (by that i mean their bullet drop will be the worse of any weapon category) but i can't guaranty that information

@@sosnihuica2k10It's not really a function of kinetic energy. The ballistic coefficient, which is basically a bullets ability to fly through the air before it starts seriously dropping, of black powder cartridges with round nose bullets is really low so they will drop aggressively compared to modern day smokeless powder spitzer bullets. But I still wouldn't be too worried because I have faith the hunt devs won't make many of their weapons completely useless with comedically high amounts of drop
@@kwajkid8896 i hope so, but have you seen the footage from the developers' diaries? a mosin's bullet drops almost a meter at a distance of less than 180 meters. looks like a fortnite sniper ballistics
@@sosnihuica2k10I promise that wasn't a meter. It also looks intense because guy was using a sniper scope which zoomed in on the action. I'm certain that viewing it from a regular distance will show that it isn't too much drop in the grand picture.
Friends and I celebrated last night by rushing every fight and playing any loadout we wanted no matter the price. It was a great night to send Hunt it into the new era.

Not looking forward to the scope meta in a game that’s 90% irons. As usual hunt updates are poorly thought out and most likely even more poorly executed
im pretty glad they shut the servers down for a couple days to update, Ive been ppaying Hunt so much lately that I was afraid I would get burned out before the update. now I have to take a break.

I’m hoping this update does change the game - all that’s happened in the last few weeks is people sitting in bushes and refusing to push 😂 Everyone is getting ready to try hard in the worst ways and I hope that enough changes for people to start treating the game as fun rather than super serious

Biggest change in my opinion in 1896 is DLSS/FSR anti-aliasing. It's the bigest game-changer. Now we will clearly see far targets without those stupid aa artifacts, and no more loading textures.

I am excited about the new map but on the other hand I really don't want bullet drop, it will just benefit snipers with scope. Sparks will be RIP after the patch.

@@hornetlul I mean it's pretty obvious that ironsights will be much inferior on distances because you have to cover the enemy with your weapon model, and it sounds like it def will be harder to shoot with sparks because you can't really see where your bullet is landing
It however affects only long distances, but say goodbye to killing snipers across the map with ironsight period

Bullet drop will fk this game up I think. Especially if bullets remain invisible and the bullet drop starts as early as 50m.

It will not fuck this game up. Most people don't care about bullet drop. At least, nowhere near as much as the average "hunt doomsday" redditors are frothing at the mouth about
Just because people dont care doesn't mean it will not do damage. I am not entirely sure if you're aware of the mechanics of it.
And it's not me being a doom prophet. I am merely saying that the way they are implementing it (assuming no changes done since that Sniper Krag showcase posted) it will make long range shoot-outs with iron sights feel sooo much worse.
In order for a bullet drop mechanic to make sense you need to see te bullets. How else will you adjust your aim? With much less ammo to spare than you have in Battlefield for instance.
If they reverse the ammo economy changes or make every bullet visible on screen (not just incendiary) or make the bullet drop start from at least 70 or 80m then we can talk. Otherwise it will be piss. Mark my words.

Aimpunch is the most skill based mechanic ever created, yes
I still don't understand why stupid game companies add it into competitive games where it only serves one purpose - to punish good aim and to reward bad aim
Aim at the floor? Aimpunch will save your lucky ass
Aim at the opponent's head? Aimpunch will make you miss
Aimpunch is supposed to reward the player with the better reflexes in a close-quarters, 1 vs. 1 scenario. The thing is, this almost never, EVER happens because of the overly long trade window and ping issues.
