I was lucky to see Slade many times ,they were nothing short of a phenomenon ,one of the greatest and heaviest rock bands we can call our own ,a true force .
SLADE..I remember listening to this on the radio that night.. it just put a huge smile on my face.. Noddy & the Boyz always knew how to entertain a crowd and always went down a storm especially at Christmas.. whenever and wherever they played.. best live band ever... Noddy's Voice is just pure gold & pure magic..Slade will always luv em' 👍
This is a fantastic performance. Even in those days, £2.50 was a bargain. I'd see more than one gig every week. A fan of Slade since Coz I Luv You, I was too young to see them live. Then punk smashed things up, and Slade became a fading childhood memory. But then: Leicester, 1982, Slade were in town! I had to go, even for nostalgia's sake, not expecting anything much. They hit the stage running, and I was stunned. Tears and a great big smile for the whole concert. I've lived with the memory ever since. Having seen Led Zep, Iron Maiden and others, I've always referred to Slade as the heaviest band I've seen live - the bass and drum combo being an absolute juggernaut. which never comes across in recordings. Then Holder's voice blasting through! And what songs! What a band!
I can feel your passion! I have such similar feelings. I was lucky enough to see them for the first time in 1977 as a thirteen year old. Nothing has had such an effect on me since. The sheer power and excitement… still with me today!
How many times have we seen that underfuckinrated criminally and everywherey describing everythingy and everyoney 😂😂😂. I've even seen it describing Iron Maiden and Prince ffs. Give it a rest with that stoooopid underfuckinrated word😂

best live band ever, never to be repeated
I agree! Still exciting to listen to now
@@davidmiles4693 never got the credit, they rightly deserved,
@@alangreenley3257 I feel that is still the same today. Slade are not usually included in reviews of the top bands of the 70s.
Mainly, thanks to Noddy, in my huble opinion. Take him out of the band and the performanse levels fall down dramatically.
best live group of the 70,s early 80,s by a mile sadly never to be repeated
If you never catched Slade live you will never know what you missed, best live band ever by miles and miles.
Totally agree! I’ve seen many great bands over the years, but none match the sheer excitement and power of Slade live.
caught* not catched*
Great Band, who's worst night was better than anyone else's best.
Slade used to start their gigs where most bands finished. Pure rock power….and what a voice.
Timeless , never to be forgotten, Slade were just so seventies, They were so good, they didn't need the 80's.
Great to hear again. Love "tak me back hom" specially live. Energy flows from first beat.
Easy the best live band ever 😀😀😀
Certainly the best live band I have seen. Still not recovered from seeing them play in 1977 as a 13 year old kid… ears still ringing.
The most underrated rock band ever were slade and that voice of noddy holder best rock voice ever

First song is briljant and still actually on this time.
"When I'm dancing I'm not fighting.
Forget about the 70s slade where at their peak In the 80s live
If it wasn't for the 70's you wouldn't have had Slade in the 80s. What a dumbass comment.
Gobby bastard wasn't he....killer vocals. I went to Leicester Uni for a while, I was a cleaner.
