- A SIE re-edit of footage from 1984 where the band appeared as 'headliners' on Thommys Pop Show, a German Television show from ZDF.
The show, hosted by Thomas Gottschalk, was an 'Extra' show, which meant a sprawling day long event capped off by Slade miming their way through both 'Preacher' and the final song, of the final ever TPS, 'All Join Hands'
I have read somewhere else that this was an end of the year event...wrong...it was broadcast on the 8th December 1984....the reason for the bunting and balloons in the 'Hands' clip is in celebration of it being the final ever Thommys....it was brought back later by ZDF with a new host and became ...Peters Pop Show.....where again, Slade mimed their way through a few tracks....these are already uploaded...I think........
All these years later , Slade still one of the best live bands I ever saw, those guys knew how to rock a crowd.

In a small club or a hall, Slade were outstanding. They were able to play the shit out of as good as every band! The energy and the atmosphere they created were a real blast. One of the better live bands in this genre. They really give the audience a night with rock ´n roll at it´s best.
They also just happened to blow the shit out of the Reading Festival crowd 1980 stealing the whole weekend 💖🎩

I was privileged to be able to see them live in King Georges Hall in Blackburn in 1973 they were simply amazing 🤩 it was LOUD 🎸🎵🎤🤘🏼 we were on the 2nd row, and my ears rang for 2 day after, but absolutely loved it 👍🏻🎶🎵🎸

Since I was 14 I always wanted to name my First Son Slade. When my boy was born his mom refused. I still call him Slade. Men should always be allowed to name the Fist born son what he wants. The rest the mom's can name. Slade forever!!!

This is the first song off the second live album for me personally. In Australia its titled SOS Slade On Stage. Its loud, its heavy & it fucking pounds! I was still in primary school but already loved music especially Rock.

December 1981, Bournemouth Winter Gardens. Slade gig remains the loudest I’ve been to. Ridiculously loud. Saw Motörhead at Pompey the following year too!

First saw Slade at the Birmingham Top Rank Suite in 1971 ..... and the support band was Status Quo, lol. Saw them a second at Coventry Theatre in 1975. Brilliant live band.

Just came across this.
I thought I was the only one that loved them like this. Saw them 6 times, including Donnington. Best was Newcastle Mayfair. And the shoulder of mutton at hardstoft. Love the comment from the bloke that wanted to call his son Slade. If its any consolation my dog is called Noddy, and I got to tell the great man I had done so. His answer ?
