Since boy, you missed a lot on trying to make Yuanwu better, and he actually is stupid good now
1. Empyrean Anthem exist now, this set makes Coordinated attack characters deal stupidly more damage on top of being Support build at the same time
2. One of the 4 Cost Echo you can get as part of Empyrean set is Nightmare Tempest Mephi, it boost your Electro and Resonance Skill which is great for Yuanwu
3. Youhu exist, her Outro significantly increase Yuanwu Pillar damage since Outro skills buff are their own multiplier, so your final multiplier wont be something like 280% but closer to 560% if not more

@@W0DA0WA also don't forget Yuan Wu is special, his level scaling is the higest in the game, do the math of how defense works for some reason. So once you get him to 90, you'll see a dramatic difference.

Nice vid. A tip regarding echoes is that it's best to go +5 at a time. If an echo is bad at +10 or 15, it's not worth all the resources to +25. The materials are also less if spent as fodder, hehehehehe

As a Yuanwu main here who hits a solid 50k+30k on ult, i can say for certain. Yuanwu is weak.
And no it's not because he scales off DEF, it's because his multipliers in general have insanely low scaling on his Forte and no way to obtain Thundering meter while in the infused lightning state. (Two things which are present in illusive realm for him) For me i'm stacking heavy amounts of Liberation damage since i tried enhancing the infused state first and that didn't really enhance the damage it dealt by all that much.
He's a jack of all trades where some classes have things like Jiyan where his forte all though activates off liberation activation, the damage it deals is purely considered heavy attack. If Yuanwu's infused state was considered solely just Resonance skill damage then you would only need to build Resonance skill damage and Liberation damage.
Another reason is how there isn't any supports that offer DEF buffs let alone echos that scale off DEF (Yet another thing that is present within illusive realm) Heck his heavy attack DMG outside of the infused state is like 140% but inside the infused state it's only 31.02%.

@W0DA0WA don't know when he got the bug but i found out about it around 1.1 where he couldn't get buffs from sub dps sometimes, i even showed it to the devs in the feedback option, survey and in fb groups, he could get teamwide buff, i have no idea when he was fixed

@W0DA0WA just like anything can exist, there's a video for that (I'm not even competely joking about that). "How to mod Wuthering Waves" will get you started. Mods are client side (so only you can see buff Paimon swing around the log in that tree hollow where the gorilla lives). There are even mods that hide you UID for streamers.
I was once like you, maining YuanWu but reskinned as Vergil with Beowulf (battle pass gauntlets for crit rate), and Mortefi reskinned as Dante wielding his Ebony and Ivory (it's just static mist) for that gunslinger style action. Oh yeah, Verina was there too, I guess. Had to fill that healer slot or whatever. She can join the Korok Space Program once I get Shorekeeper.

i wouldnt recommend leveling up echos to 25 except if they are so good that you will very likely keep them forever since it takes as much leveling material as leveling an echo to 20

well, most ideal for him is 2x3* electro damage(because you increase damage of standard attack + all skills, damage % - only standard attack) + 2x2* defense. p.s although no matter how you build him, in my opinion, Yuanwu is one of the weakest character in the game(in terms of damage), along with Taoqi and healers

@W0DA0WA I recently saw a video, someone built her so she had 6.5 defense with buffs, she hit with her ult ~100k, in theory it was possible to make even more (Yuanwu c6 gives extra defence buff)

Would it be possible to have a Zhezhi, Yuanwu, Jinshi team? Zhezhi having the Empyrean Anthem, while Yuanwu has Moonlit so both can buff Jinshi’s atk?
@@sk13s unfortunately im not a smart person to ask but yea people used yuanwu before in their jinhsi teams and it was considered a good team iirc? :o0 i also dont have zhezhi so the team i used before and now is jinhsi + yinlin and then a healer

@@sk13s for a Zheshi/Jinhsi/Yuanwu team giving Zheshi moonlit and giving Yuanwu the new set is actually better. The new set buffs the whole team without having to Outro! And you wanna outro Zheshi into Jinhsi to use Zheshis Outro Resonance Skill buff! Not having to outro with Yuanwu will also fasten your rotation a lot! Hope this helps

they're called forte in wuwa. the 5 at the bottom just increase damage, you can see which damage in the description -> more damage is always good but most important for your main damage dealer. the tree in the middle gives the character extra skills or passives -> especially important for some support characters, the trees on the side increase a general stat like hp, crit, atk, important depending on stat and character but generally a good improvement
