A step by step demo on how to migrate Physical Servers to Azure using Azure Site Recovery
Loved the way you demonstrated...no unnecessary talks right on the point and very well covered all points 👍👍👍
You are welcome
Thank you for this comprehensive tutorial video. It's easy to follow.
You have a great way of lecturing but i would like to suggest if you could include an intro diagrams
use highlighter for better understanding.
Excelled high level demo .Thank you
Our pleasure!
Wonderful lecture Niyas. I have 2 questions:
1. If we have multiple Physical Servers in On-premise setup then the Regd key and Congf setup will be installed on every server??
2. This setup/lecture is use for both Migration and actual Failover , i mean for DR purpose as well????
please make a video on azure site recovery for dr
to modernize my system i got to migrate my cloud vm to onprem, cloud you do a video about that?
Can we migrate VM to different tenant using ASR
I have questions regarding conf server.. you have downloaded regd key and congf setup of 2gb..so did you installed on the physical server that need to be migrated? Or on seperate server
Nice
Hi, I have SQL database running on my machine along with other applications so will it also be migrated to my new server with this method?
is 2008 / R2 server supported in this method? Thanks
Hello sir is possible to Google classes from you let me know thanks
Topics?
Once the migration done, can we decom the process server which we installed in on permis ?
Yes, for migration you can decommission-on-premises process server.
Hi Niyas, same question again if we migrate a webserver or SQL server on Azure then problem is after migration VM will get a different IP address so if IP address is different from on prem IP address then how will traffic route ? in your case you have created a point to site VPN but what about if other on prem servers need to use that particular SQL or Web server. For example if you move your SQL that's hosting database for your Vcenter or Citrix Xendesktop database then how will on prem servers connect to it ? because after migration IP address will be changed so do we need to enable NAT etc on firewall ?
Will you be making a video on this scenario ? Please let me know. Thanks
If you have site to site vpn the lan is enough for internal connectivity. IP will change and can be manage using dns. For public access you can use nat and public ip from azure
Wait...I thawt it was amareeka?
complete migration means , that will remove the VM from OP ? only keep it on AZURE?
Complete migration means, Azure will consider you have completed the migration, and no more synch beterrn onprem and Azure
