  • People Describe Their Worst Or Most Embarrassing Celebrity Interaction
    We are Happy Land.
Sometimes, you meet a celebrity and they make your day. But it can also be awkward. And comedian John Field is much more interested in the latter rather than the former.
This autumn, he asked Twitter users: "What's the worst interaction with a celebrity you've ever had?" From Devi Lovato and Kid Rock to Jessica Alba and Cillian Murphy; turns out, there's no shortage of those.
Of course, we must remember that everyone has a bad day and nobody owes us anything just because we heard them on a stage or saw them on a screen. Plus, some people tend to exaggerate. But with that being said, it's still a pretty entertaining thread to say the least.
Every day is an exciting experience with vivid, humorous, failure or happy emotions. We wish you would enjoy watching them.

My friend and I were 17 and trying to get Jon Bon Jovi's autograph without asking him ourselves. We were at the hotel and we saw him in the bar. We tried to get this drunk dude to go ask him, which he did, and then JBJ turned around and motioned for us to come in. We're thinking we're going to get kicked out, arrested, whatever lol...but we didn't! He talked to us for quite a bit, signed his autograph for us, and we left. Very friendly, and he made my teenage life lol. P.S. I'm 52 now so that was like a million years ago, but I still get giddy when I remember it lol..

Took my nephew to a premier, Hugh Jackman was there and my nephew really wanted to see him.
While Hugh was standing outside the theater for pictures my 3year old had slipped under the ropes keeping everyone back, I was busy with my 1year old & hadn't noticed. He was apparently playing on the ground around Hugh's feet. I did notice after Jackman says in a loud voice "who's cute little boy? " Jackman was holding him and had taken several photos while he had him. I was so embarrassed, but when he handed my kid back my nephew got to have a picture with him, he told me not to worry he had once lost his kid too.

Worked security at a hospital, saw a lady reading signs and looking at the hospital map and asked if she needed help. She said she was looking for PCU and I offered to escort her there since it was near where I was heading. As I walked with her, we made small talk about the hospital and the area and how she grew up around it. Then I realized she was Linda Hamilton from The Terminator and went total fanboy on her. She was surprised I recognized her and was laughing when I was going on and on about how much I loved her movies. She was so nice and down to earth and when we were in the elevator, she put her arm around my shoulder and told me to take a picture so I could show all of my friends. It was singlehandedly the coolest experience I've ever had. I stopped by Walmart and got a frame and made an 8×10 picture to hang on the wall next to the family photos 🤣🤣

A family friend once went to a really fancy Michelin star restaurant for her birthday. During dinner she and her friend notice Bono sitting a couple of tables away, so when he at one point leaves the table she works up the courage to go ask the friend he's there with if it really is Bono and it is. She asks if he thinks it would be alright to ask for a picture with him but gets a polite no from the friend (didn't want to attract too much attention, I'm guessing) so she and her friend go back to their dinner. Bono and his friend leave. When she asks for the bill, however, the waiter tells her it's already been taken care of - by Bruce Springsteen, who had just left alongside Bono.

A friend of mine introduced me to someone because he knew we both liked Lovecraftian horror. We started chatting and discovered we were both writers, and the subject came around to some of the stranger Lovecraftian horror writers in the field. One of the most notorious is Tani Jantsang, who has a legendary reputation for her weirdness, being both a Satanist and a communist. This person I'd just met was fascinated and kept prodding me for more information, so I gaily informed her about Tani running a cult, other writers I'd met telling me she had sent her followers to stalk and harass them, and that she was feared by most people working in the field.
Later I discovered -- you've probably already guessed -- that I was telling Tani Jantsang all about Tani Jantsang. To her credit she found the whole thing hilarious and she later ended up publishing one of my stories in her horror magazine.

Many years ago, my husband and I were at a small Italian restaurant. I had gone to the ladies, and on the way back, spotted someone who looked very familiar (great with faces, suck at names). When I reached our table, I asked my husband who the person was, saying that he looked very familiar to me (I really do suck at remembering names), but not where I thought I had seen him before. He looked over and said it was John Travolta.

A hundred years ago when I was a teenager, in the mid-60’s, I went to a lot of rock concerts (I grew up in Southern California). After seeing one particular concert in April of ‘68, I walked around to the service/freight entrance at the back of this immense auditorium. I waited for what seemed like a long time, but then members of the bands began to walk down the stairs to their waiting vehicles. I had seen It’s a Beautiful Day with the Jefferson Airplane. I was crazy about the Airplane and guess who came down the stairs to me-Grace Slick. She was obviously tired, it was late at night, but talked about the concert and was interesting.
Flash forward to 2000. I discover she’s having an art exhibit not 3 blocks from where I work. Took my lunch hour to see her. I was the only one in the gallery for the entire time. She was so gracious, interesting, answered questions. We talked for the hour about the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, Woodstock, music and a lot more. Something I’ll never forget.

I was standing in a very open gallery/lobby looking up at one of the obelisks when Chris Angel, who was performing in the Luxor (his crap and posters and statuettes on pyramids were freaking everywhere) decided to ram straight into me and damn near knocked me over. He turned around and glared at me like I should’ve gotten out of his way, and then his security dude who only looked moderately concerned for my well-being, also kind of glared at me like I should’ve moved. There were not many people in the gallery, there was plenty of room to walk everywhere, but here’s me just looking at one of the statues, off to the side kind of by myself, but then that happened. Yeah I have celebrities that I like but I wouldn't go bother them to ask for an autograph(which, btw, still makes me wonder why people do it as depending on the medium it can end up deteriorating due to time...why people collect celebrities autographs?) nor a photo.
Because as much as I enjoy what they give(actors: movies/TV shows/games, singers: songs, etc.) to me they still seem like regular people that just happen to have their faces/names appear more often than others.

She tends to blow hot and cold in person -- one meet and greet, she'll be so dismissive you start wondering if you should wait politely while she turns on a hearing aid, at another, she'll be invested and witty and show this incredible dry sense of humour that reminds you why she works with words. Anyways, we kept on bumping into eachother, once quite literally as she walked around the corner of my building.
We laughed and I asked what she was doing on these parts.
"Just window shopping" she said, we had a short chat before I excused myself as I had a meeting to go to.
A few days later we met again, this time at the post-office. She seemed stressed, but smiled, came over and started talking.
This went on for months, we even had a coffee once, and by now I felt it would be rude of me to ask where I remembered her from. I had even pumped her for info on where she attended highschool and Uni, but nothing. I could not recall.
Then one evening I put on the TV and straight away heard a voice that made me stop in my tracks.
There she was, the anchor-woman on the main TV-show on the largest tv-station in the country.
She had been on maternity leave for a year and was welcomed back by her collegues.
A week or so went by before I met her again, and she was holding back a smile as she walked over.
"You remembered me, but not. Right?"
"Yes" I told her and we both started laughing.
Turned out she had seen my confusion right away and knew that I was trying to place her when I asked about her background.

I was an accountant in the live entertainment industry about 20 yrs ago. I was having lunch at the venue buffet and most of 38 Special were in line next to me. It was cafeteria seating, so I grabbed a seat and, for reasons unknown, they all followed me and sat down all around me, didn't say a word, and started shoveling. A minute later Eric Burdon slides in next to me with a tray, didn't eat a bite, and talked nonstop for 20 min. I couldn't understand a word he said in his very thick accent, but he was really jolly and appeared to be having a blast, me just nodding and chuckling the whole time. Meanwhile, 38 Special was just staring at him, still quietly chewing their food. Just another day at the office.

A couple of interactions with my idols:
Met Ariel and Shawn from Icon For Hire online Ariel called us (my brother and I) rockstars. Because we stayed up until 1 am just to meet them.
I met Floor Jansen from Nightwish with my father. We were both too stunned to speak I only managed to say hi.
I met Zora from Blackbriar at a Blackbriar concert. I asked for a picture with her and got her to sign the bracelet I got at the entrance. She also held my hand twice during the concert. The song Beautiful Delirium has a special place in my heart now.

All the while becoming more apologetic and nervous, explaining how much my family and I liked him. He smiled and said try Louie instead and of course the account came up! He wheeled away and I asked my wife "isn't he the guy from the office?" She said I don't think so and while we're arguing about it he somehow got up behind me and said "can I borrow your height? Can you grab me those chips on the top shelf?" I said yes, grabbed the chips, handed them to him, and away he went. I've never met a famous person before, much less one from my favorite TV show, so I was too nervous to say anything to him. Missed opportunities..

I was on the verge of a panic attack from being crushed against the stage and he got people to back up so I could get out.

My husband accidentally met Mark Chestnut (a country music artist from the 90s) at a shindig in Texas. He and his bodyguard were blocking the exit of the gentleman's restroom. My husband politely asked them to let him out and they just glared at him and went back to scream chatting bc it was super loud in the club. This happened 2x more and then my husband just pushed past them and both men tried to fight him. Both towered over him at least 6". My husband didn't back down and was ready to take a beat down. My husband figured since they didn't act on the macho act that the rumors stirring that M.C. was a wife beater had to be true. Now, we all live in the same town. Lol! I went with a friend to a Rush concert. He had backstage passes he won on a local radio station to meet and greet with the band, minus Pert, after the show. The show was awful. They lined us up afterwards backstage and Geddy came down the line first. He signed autos for everyone in line before me. When he got to me he noticed I had nothing for him to sign. He asked if I wanted an auto and I said no. He seemed offended by this and got all butthurt. Based on the butthurt Geddy displayed, when the guitarist Alex Lifeson(sp) came up to me next I dug through my wallet to find a piece of paper he could sign, pretty much right in front of Geddy. Good for me that looks do notkill...

Sat in the back, bored as hell lol. After the concert my friends met the band, took pics, while I stood back. Thought the drummer was cute, but the lead singer wasn’t. Fast forward years later, lead singer is now famous & I don’t realize until I see an old pic of him with his mullet that it was Blake Shelton that we saw that night . So now my claim to fame is telling people I was like 2 feet away from Blake Shelton 🤣.

At my state’s horror con, I got to meet Linda Blair. She was only taking cash ($40) and the people at her booth didn’t say anything about this. I actually find this out because of other people in the line. So I get out of line, I was at the tail end anyway, and go outside and then downstairs into a casino to find the only ATM in the entire back end of the building. I get the $40 and go upstairs to find out I’m locked out. I only got back in because an employee took pity on me. I get back to her booth’s line and when I get up to her, all she did was look at me for literally two seconds, take my photo, sign it, and give it back. She didn’t say a single word to me and actually seemed annoyed and like I was taking up her time. In total I saw her for maybe 10-15 seconds. But the person in front of me got a totally different story. She even shook their hands and waved when they left!
She owns a safe haven for animals and it was clear as day she only went to this event to talk about it. I seriously spent more time talking to the lady at her booth about animals being spayed/neutered and about dog food that’s not some cheap, crap food than I did doing anything with Linda Blair. The same, weird lady gave me like five random pamphlets and something about dog food, too.
