I really appreciate you knowing when to call it a day over a safety concern, not everyone has the wisdom to do that. As to the visibility, I free dive here in Coos Bay and I am teaching a friend. The visibility isn’t near as “good” as yours seems to be. I am getting ready to take him to the Bahamas next week and I told him the visibility there might ruin him for PNW free diving. @@ScorpioRisingAdventures Ya im with you ill also grab a few if it's slow going and their on thr larger side! I've actually never had ceviche or curries yet! I'm still more of a cooked meat kind of guy lol! I've just seen to many episodes of monsters inside me lol!
I usually just sit on the bottom but this year we’ve had horrible viz much like this vid. Maybe I will try your swimming along the bottom technique although maybe I’m lazy I don’t like to do it haha.m
@@kayb4995 I've also had alot of bad viz days this year! But I'd definitely recommend swimming the bottom, the viz always seems a bit clearer, but on thoughs really bad viz days it gets alot darker, and a bit spookier down there lol! You just have to fight through the laziness lol you will find fish when you search!
Ear issues,are the real deal. I always say if my ears are going really well, just go diving every chance you get even make some extra opportunities, because the issues are probably incoming soon
@@kayb4995 Right you just never want to mess with your ears! It's a long recovery I'm told if you blow your ear drums, so it's better to end a dive session then to have to wait months to heal!
@@TrungLe-et7bf I typically see them around 15 to 20 feet down just laying on or under the rocks of the main Jetty, but sometimes I have seen them out of the rocks out on the sand!
@@lilramborambo4399 No not yet! I'm sure it will happen eventually! Which will make a good video! As long as I don't get dismembered or killed lol! I do want to see one, but I really want to see some orcas!

I do the similar. I’ll pass up surf perch but then if it’s slow I’ll nab a bunch.they are chewy when cooked but do great in ceviche and curries!
