37 years old dude here...I have had hundreds of fragrances over the years and this is still my all time fav designer. Woman cannot handle themselves with this stuff lol.

@@johnluke5478 The one thing about this is that it's just so popular and common I feel like you're ultimately only going to smell like an ex-bf. Or well maybe not, actually I'm pretty shocked how few white Americans seem to wear this, I think black dudes tend to go more cologne, or fuckboys, or more urban professional type. But a lot of white women and white guys seem to not wear perfume unless they're six figures types?
How do you think L'homme EDP compares to La Nuit EDT? They both smell very similar to me, but EDP just smells sweeter and more date night oriented. I like it more but I'm not sure. I did used to wear YSL L'Homme among other thigns and come to think of it, my female friends did bury themselves in my shirt. I wasn't even wearing it for that purpose. I guess I didn't smell like tobacco smoke lol. But OP is right, YSL's L'Homme and flankers are pretty universally liked by women, if you're looking for something more sensual I'd consider something like Luna Rossa Black, but La Nuit de L'Homme is from what I gather among the safest date colognes out there.

@noob066india9 la nuit literally translates to the night, so this fragrance is 'man of the night' or 'the man's night'. It is 100% a nighttime/date night scent. It's seductive and sexy and would therefore be a bit much for daytime use. Hope that helps!

For 20 dollars or less you might get Lattafa Qaeed which every time I wear it people ask me what im wearing, my 200 ML of YSL LNDH is still full because I do not use it that much.

If you can, try to find the Bleu Electrique flanker. It's even better.
Bleu Electrique is nowhere near sexy, its way too innocent.

I have to agree that the dry down is the best. I sprayed this on one night, then woke up in the middle of the night in a fog. I couldnt even remember what I sprayed on, but I smelled my wrist and I was thinking "Wow, what is that? I love it". Then I remembered what I had sprayed on. It might be a more traditional, or some might say old fashioned type of cologne, but it is just one of those fragrances that if someone smells it, they will love it. Young or old. I'm smelling the cap from my bottle right now, and it's just so classy. I would say it's for a night out or a special occasion, for sure.

YSL La Nuit De L'homme is my favorite , but Dolce & Gabbana The One EDP is also right backside or equal to la unit de l'homme. Erica you need to do a review on The One EDP
There's two of some of the most classic men's fragrances imo, those and like Bleu de Chanel, Prada L'Homme, Dior Homme, Luna Rossa Black, OG Code, there's a handful of fragrances that I'd just consider to be among the most classic core staples every man with any sense of ambition should have in his memory banks. Terre d'Hermes too tbh, I don't get all the love for Creed but I do need to smell Suavage. I have a feeling I've smelled Sauvage and don't know it. Some of these are classics for a reason, no matter how basic bitch anybody ever calls it, that's a classic for a reason, it just werks.
I wore this, this past weekend on a date with the woman I would love to be with. We had a wonderful date and while I have major fragrances, I still think this is one of the sexiest date snuggle fragrance.
Doesn't project too well. But lingers on clothes for days.
It was a freezing day, very cold, snow, but because the chemistry was building with this woman, we kept getting closer and I knew the fragrance was present and warm

When you get closer to my age and your body starts wearing down, you can't just go out and get hammered then show up to work the next day walking it off because you're sick two days straight, and all that psychological, spiritual, emotional and mental damage begins adding up and taking its toll, you're going to realize why some of us hold hookup culture in complete disdain along with those practicing it. Any time someone uses phrases like "panty droppers" it's just one of those things I cringe about. It's also annoying when you wear shit to the office and have to wonder if people think you're some fuckboy for smelling nice.
I still love how mysterious it is, also while keeping a fresh side and having one of the more interesting, laid-back, and sexy sweetness out there. Still a favorite for me. The fragrance just smells like jazz on a rainy night to me. Great lighting here at this hour you picked. You looked beautiful here of course and enjoy your commentary.

I sprayed this in a perfume shop in Funchal and I was leaving a sexy trail for around 4-5 hours and it was beautiful! I have this in a shaving soap and it smells exactly like the EDT, I just wish it was a bit cheaper because the longevity isn't the greatest. Have a lovely day Erica! 🥰

Please don’t go down the rabbit hole trying to get your hands on the older versions. I currently have the 09 batch. Prior to that I had the collector’s edition and edition art and to be quite honest, there wasn’t any significant differences in scent and performance I got a max of 4 hours and and hour of projection

So, when I started my Respiratory Therapist career La Nuit was my signature scent. I worked nights and I got some over the top reactions from patients and nurses.
My dad is a respiratory therapist and I gifted him La Nuit. I thought this would be perfect for him since it's not overpowering. He said he's been compliments from coworkers and patients alike.
It's still worth in 2023 ! I have a recent batch 2022 and I own 2009 first formula as well.
2022 batch improved well after maceration and it lasts around 6+ hrs. Great scent trail and decent sillage. Still a 10/10 fragrance.

This was my clubbing fragrance back in the day. Oh and it was a banger back then and it’s a banger still. Yes, the older batches were 👌🏻. That will tell you how old I am and when my prime clubbing days were. I oversprayed the hell out of it too.

This is a frag is in the hall of fame no question. There needs to be a original release but yeah its still a top ten in my book.
The leather and the gourmand notes in the edp make it perfect for the colder months, but the edt is still king!

I have tested +- 200 perfumes so far and in my sight no one dethrones La Nuit De l'Homme EDT (OG)!
The performance and sillage is not incredible at all, it's sure. But the scent of this fragrance is simply magic!
The "problem" with this perfume... Is that once you smell it, all other perfumes will seem "insipid" from now compared to this masterpiece! 😅
Thoughts on the YSL Bleu Electric compared to this?
My 2012 bottle might been partially responsible for the creation of my kids😌 it’s by far my favorite.

But performance is not a real problem to me, for I combine it with for example Y edp.
I.e. a stronger scent in order to get noticed, with La Nuit de L'Homme for close encounters.
(Sounds a bit sneaky, but hey, it works for me. 🤷😉)
If you like LNDL, I would recommend trying Nero by Sedra. Much better performance.
Due to hype videos like this, I got a 200ml bottle when even 100 or 50 ml bottles were hard to get but found it to be so weak in performance and DnG The One EDP is daddy of all fragrances.
The one disappointed me so much smelling it in store. Smelled so average to me but hey the effect it has on women is well documented lol

It smells amazingly sexy from opening to drydown. This is my favorite designer of all time. I have about 85ml left in my 2020 bottle.
we can't deny that Jeremy is the one responsible for making La Nuit De L'homme and Sauvage famous, actually most of the perfumes we are enjoying, way back 2009 i am already working, repeating bottles and bottles and bottles of Benetton Cold as my signature scent ( actually still waay back early 2000's ) my mind is closed dat time, if i should have known way back tsk

Just bought the edp. Wears off really quickly, so watered-down...waste of money, no scent after 2 hours, projection is awful after 20 minutes. Don't buy, it is a total let down
I really take laughter seriously, take a small bottle of perfume with you and that's it, the problem will be solved. stop comparing what was 10 years ago and is now! the smell itself is important, everything else is not so important. of course, you wish you didn't have to spray perfume every half hour, but if it's such a price - so be it! :) I used to think that the longevity of a perfume is the most important thing, but how wrong I was...
