@@BYERE Uhh, I got news for you buddy, if you DON'T survive blowing up a sun, than you're probably too busy being dead to have someone pay you a compliment about doing it!
@@michaelhuynh4953 Lol, yea, but as long as people know it was YOU who did it, I'm pretty sure you'll have a hell of a legacy! People will talk about you for centuries as the crazy bastard who blew up an entire solar system! (even if it was unpopulated)
Can imagine a scenario where Sam gets attacked and wins and then someone says "You decided to pick a fight with General Samantha Carter. The woman who blow up a freaking sun!" And yes I do think Sam would be a general if they made a new series. After everything she has done, she would've deserved to get that title.

LOL! Rodney manage to wipe out majority of a system using a planet. In my book that's much harder to do than using a star. Also, remember that time he almost destroyed two universes? It was an accident, yes, but I certainly wouldn't want to be his enemy. I mean... The guy is arguably the most clever human in the known universe so...
"...destroy everything in the system in a matter of minutes..." Either that's an incredibly small system... or she doesn't know wtf she's talking about.
Earth is approximately 1AU from the Sun and 8 light minutes from the sun. The goldilocks zone goes out to approximately 10AU. So a star going super nova would likely destroy any planet in the goldilocks zone between 8 and 80 minutes. I think a matter of minutes can fall between 8 and 80 minutes.
it's all good and all but there is only one Sun, our star. all the other stars have different names. no other star is called "Sun" or "a Sun" though i think the definition of "Sun" will eventually be known as any star with one or more orbiting planet some time in the near future
I think there's a difference between the Sun and a sun, if you catch my drift. Although, if we ever become capable of interstellar travel, the Latin name "Sol" will perhaps be more commonly used.
Actually "Sun" is just the term to call a local Star. When it comes to names, our Star is called "Sol". If you were living on another planet in a different System, you would call that system's Star, "The Sun" as well.

To be fair, it's a hell of an achievement to say you nuked an entire solar system... especially if you survived doing it!

If they ever bring Stargate back, I’d love it of everyone called Sam _Starkiller_ both out of respect, and just to annoy her a bit. XD

I was impressed that time Sam blew up a sun.😁😛💥

Space is big, it takes time for the explosion to engulf everything
