This is really powerful Jess, your mum is a legend!
Sorry to hear that everyone involved went through so much stress but it's really encouraging to hear that you and your mum both feel as though this situation has given you an opportunity to grow now.
You're mum's right, you should be really proud of everything you've done so far. It takes a lot of courage to step up and a lot of people take so long to even acknowledge to themselves that they have MS, let alone come to give anything back to the community.
There are many of us out there that have seen MS an an opportunity to change their lives for the better. While it's not possible for everyone affected to have MS to have this same outlook (it affects us all so differently) I definitely resonate with you with wanting to try and make things better for everyone.

Thanks Mike! And I agree she is a legend!!
Yeah, it wasn't a nice experience at the start but it has brought us closer and given us opportunities.
Thank you so much, it took me a long time to talk myself into being brave enough to do this channel but I always wanted to give back and help support others who are in the same place I was. Yeah, as much as MS sucks sometimes, I think it has given me a lot of great things like opening up psychology as a career that I just hadn't thought about before and seeing what's important. You do brilliant things with the Manchester MS network and it's amazing how you use it to continuously support others.
