How to get better at Risk.
How to play Risk like a Grandmaster.
Risk Tutorial.

I miss the war horn at the start of every risk video. Used to wake me up like a rooster’s call every morning.
Bring back the horn
you gotta get that rooster out of your bed. it ain't natural.
When the game is off to such a great start, but you know the video is 1h40m, it's like Kilted nooooo, you don't know the consequences of your actions by making that move!
For the record, *highly* entertaining game/video. But honestly? I recently uninstalled Risk because of games exactly like this one (still love watching your vids though).
The fight versus Pink was solid and would have been super fun to play - they had an unbreakable bonus, but were easily card blocked. You out mind-gamed where their stack was and eventually took the position. 11/10. But then the rest of the game was you being left with no options except doing nothing and hoping Black and White fought each other, or taking a deliberate disadvantage in the 1:1 to progress the game.
Worse, the two players you were with in the end didn't seem to know how to progress the game further. Black was focused on bonuses, and White was a take card/pass "grandmaster". When you finally made the call to cardblock Black (knowing it probably gave White 1st), White backstabbed you. Black wouldn't have worked with you to block White, he might not have even recognized what you were doing. If you took a White cap, you'd lose too many troops to hold up against Black's single stack. All told, the other players *forced* you into the take card/pass gameplay which is just so boring to actually play (for me personally).
Finally the game was decided by Black getting fed up and playing kingmaker by suiciding into White - not some brilliant card block, not a deliberate gamble on if the other player has a trade on 3, nothing to do with technical skill. Just dodging a noob's suicide blast when they got fed up with the game. And that happened quick this time, it could just as easily have been an hour of waiting on it to happen with not much you could do to force the issue. There's definitely a subtle art to directing the noobs into your opponent, but it's not the fun part of Risk gameplay when I'm the one behind the keyboard.
Very well stated and agree 100%. It's what frustrates me the most about certain scenarios in Risk where I am forced into this 'do nothing or give up' type of game and they are miserable.
Creativity and fun is what these games should be about and I try my best to only be living in those areas
It’s the creative strats and flexible gameplay that keep me coming back for Kylted games ❤
Something cathartic about it, always fun to watch (often at 2x 🥳)
“That’s how I feel about you you play” 🤣
This might be the best risk video
this one. rah cheer.
28:30 I was screaming you make this mistake each and every time why not 20 20 why not 21 21 why just why 16 16 lowest number possible every time LOVE YOU MAN watching your videos is better than watching football
I don't know why not just go into pink?
Black and white keep hitting Mr clean in the backside. The Ramdingler had some full balls of frustration wasn’t even satisfied in the end.
one of the most interesting games ive seen in a while!
Thank you!
Could this be the best Risk video ever?
hm ... you raise an important point
Kyle, just played a game of prog caps where I got a kill at the last second to force a trade. Game didn’t give me the chance to trade and auto deployed my troops. With two players left it basically cost me the game. Have you ever seen that happen before?
I have seen it happen... if you are in the very final moment it can bug out like that unfortunately
I was white, interesting seeing it for the other side 😂 I hate these stalemates. My main problem was being in the middle and spread so thinly across 3 caps. I had a good relationship with black for most of the game. I play on mobile so I wanted to go 1v1 against black since I didn't have the speed to beat you. Black didn't know how to progress the game against you, you were a 3-4 point card block and BLACK started fake botting so I decided to start the card block on them and then they slammed me.
GG man! I don't fully remember this game but were u saying that I was fake botting? because I definitely wasnt lol
GG! no sorry black pretends to bot not you 😂
Ahh that makes more sense. I was sooo sure I was going to eat his big slam lol
Thanks for replying Stephen.
Games like this are tricky. Stalemates are brutal when the game has gone so long that it becomes a loss to try to card block someone. Earlier in the game Kylted was able to block pink and come out roughly even on troops, progress the game, and improve his position. But later when Kylted tried to card block black he just pulled 1500 troops off and there was no way to stick to that block without automatically taking 2nd.
So it's like there are three phases. Snowball phase. Card block phase. And then the death stalemate phase where no one can progress the game until someone bots out or self destructs.
To your point, when the game hits the death phase I've found that having three caps can be a detriment. It's like people just want their suicide to count for something and the weakest cap is usually the target, that or whoever pissed someone off the most. And the person that pissed them off the most isn't always the one fighting them. Sometimes when someone is fighting and fighting and they see someone sitting on their hands forever they just tilt and want to teach the passive player a lesson.
I haven't figured out how to win phase three every time of course (I hate these games) but I might consider giving up a cap at that point. If you'd have given up a cap to black and started card trading with him 1) You might have had a chance to block Kylted, and 2) You consolidate your stacks.
That would be my best shot to win but sometimes it just comes down to who loses patience and who they slam. Thoughts?
You played well
Fantastic win! But I would hardly call that lobby "high skill". High rank for sure, but I've learned that the ranks definitely do not reflect skill level. GG, well played!
This was the count I had as of 1:06:00 and not paying 100% attention.

Your commitment is legendary!
Number one baby!!!!! Spoil blocker!
I don't blame you for being a bit off with a long game. Although I didn't notice much it was still interesting to watch. You have much more patience than me, I have no interest in playing really long Risk games like this. I'm trying to get better at you style of play. Pushing the game forward and driving players to attack each other. If I played more boring games my rank would be much higher
On the first turn, you can see red attack out of poland with a decent-sized stack which it had not added to, and then pull 1 troop back. That's a dead giveaway the red cap is poland.
Purpy should have slammed your cap 12-5 Turn 2.
Black putting a 13 to block u was weird. You were getting enough troops to pop that 13 unless he knew you were gonna lose ur bonus due to pink. Feels a bit collaboratory to me
Well played. Some frustrating players. They know enough to make it to the last 3 regularly but not enough to understand that a co-op card-block is the most effective way to advance the game and reach the 1v1. Yes, it's difficult to negotiate with players who are suspicious of you and you have to show willing by putting your troops at risk. But there is no way to win a risk game without risking troops or using diplomacy. And congratulations to you for taking the only route to victory. Sorry it was such a chore for you, really wish players were better in ranked.
When you first cardblocked pink I think you shouldnt have split 17. Thats why pink managed to take a card.
Of all the things you say… “bum-aids” is the bridge too far? 😂😂😂
where and when do you stream?
All my links are here linktr.ee/Kylted
Lately I have been multistreaming to UA-cam/Twitch/Kick

He Can't Be Happy With That, He's A Black Player! Kylted 2024 1:09:46
White's rank is truly puzzling to me
Black was my homie until he wasn't 😂but seriously I wanted to card block blue but it was impossible to do so with Black.
Dragons are bald
Hey I'm the 100th like :)
❤❤❤
Studios Need To Fix The Dice Seriously. Caps And Manual Rolls Are Favored And Unbalanced
We've been telling the studio that for years, but they don't care about their game lol they just print out shitty new maps and cosmetics to make $ while failing to fix their game. It's lame
Highest ranked lobby I joined that's not tournament level is 2 grandmaster 1 master 1 expert and then me intermediate i won.
3 mins ago lets goooooooo
Tooo easy.....!!!! 😂😂
You gave white way too much credit for this game. Dude was worthless he could of easily card blocked black
High skill? These were terrible players. Or were you being sarcastic, like the guy who comments on all your videos, "This might be the best risk video"
Ranked-wise I ment
