When people have been lied to, all the time, for decades, and it seems to ramp up every day, can you blame people for being NOT BORED, but rather for being jaded, highly suspicious and skeptical?
I think its more than that. For more than 70 years people told about their alien encounters and took pictures of nothing more than lights. The Government kept saying these people were crazy and debunkers argued the stories were people's over imagination. Suddenly these government people claim U.F.O.s are real and alien bodies secretly kept. After getting told for decades there is nothing, then only actual evidence will get anyone interested.

Everything he is saying is verifiable so he is serving congress everything they need to investigate on a silver platter but congress still has to do the work to verify and collect testimony and physical evidence.
