27:07 You know, it would be funny if you let the Black Sun retake the Wheel and Roche every time you leave.
That would be extremely cartoony, with the Black Sun constantly rebuilding their assets there, all for naught every time you need to move your forces back to the core or Centares.
The SSD thus acting like a giant bulldozer. ^^

The Veiled Viper decelerated from hyperspace, emerging into an abandoned sector of space. Before Mobius loomed the ruins of a once-formidable station-a sprawling skeletal structure, cracked and dark, with only faint remnants of power flickering sporadically along its surface. Mobius sighed as she maneuvered her ship closer, her green eyes scanning the cracked hull. This had once been the primary headquarters of the Assassins’ Guild during her reign as Doyenne. Now it was a graveyard, abandoned and decaying since the day she dismantled the guild.
She docked in silence, the Viper’s landing gear scraping against the corroded floor of the docking bay. She stepped onto the station, her Doyenne outfit-an elegantly beautiful combination of sleek armorweave and ceremonial fabric-shimmering faintly in the dim lighting. The high-collared cloak framed her face, its edges embroidered with the MANTIS insignia in muted silver. Segmented plates adorned her arms and legs, designed for both mobility and defense, while a green crystalline amulet rested against her chest-a signature relic from her time as Doyenne.
The corridors were eerily silent, illuminated only by the pale, flickering lights above her. Skeletal remains of broken droids and people, along with rusted weapons littered the halls. The faint hum of old generators occasionally broke the quiet, their dying power pulsing through ancient conduits.
Mobius allowed her fingers to trail along the walls as she walked. Memories of her rule-her victories, her failures-swarmed into her mind after years of ignoring them. She passed by training rooms where people once honed their skills and barracks that now lay in ruins, their beds overturned and scorched.
Turning a corner, she stopped before a room she hadn’t intended to enter, the infirmary. The sight froze her for a moment. Broken glass, shattered medical tools, and bio-containment tanks stood as reminders of the experiments that mad doctor, Zandik, had conducted here. The room had been a laboratory for some of his most important and perfect creations, where the MANTIS experiments-her siblings, if that word could still be used--were created. With a sharp breath, she moved on, her steps heavier as she remembered what horrors she went through under his “care.”
The doors to the central meeting hall groaned as they slid open. Mobius stepped inside, with her normal carefree attitude. The room flickered to life when she entered, dim-yellow lights illuminating the scorched and dust covered walls and the faintly glowing insignia at the center of the room, a coiled serpent encircling a jagged blade. Twelve high-backed chairs formed a circle around the platform, their worn surfaces engraved with unique sigils representing the leaders of MANTIS.
Her gaze swept over the chamber as she approached the center, stopping when she noticed three figures already seated. The first to acknowledge her arrival was Sentinel, or Valen Kaslan, as the Doctor named him, lounging with an air of disinterest about him in a chair marked with the symbol of a predatory bird. His dark, angular armor, the same one he wore even back in the day, clung to his lean frame, the crimson glow of his cybernetic eyes cutting through the dim light and glaring into her form. A hood draped over his shoulders added a certain shadowed edge to his appearance, and faint red sigils ran down his arms like veins of molten fire.
“Well, look who decided to show up,” Sentinel said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “The great Doyenne returns to the grave she dug.”
Mobius ignored the jab, her gaze flicking to the second occupant. Eidolon, her real name Lira Zayrin, sat to Sentinel’s left, her sleek, lightweight suit glinting faintly under the chamber lights. The armor was form fitting and angular, with shimmering silver lines tracing its surface in intricate patterns. Her piercing gold eyes met Mobius’s, faintly glowing with the artificial enhancements that had made her the most precise killer of the guild during their time.
A flowing cape of black-and-silver fabric draped from her shoulders, its edges embroidered with delicate filigree. A crystalline blade rested at her hip, its translucent edge catching the dim light like a shard of frozen starlight.
“You’ve kept us waiting,” Eidolon said, her tone calm but laced with subtle menace. She crossed her legs gracefully, resting her hand on the chair's armrest, where faint light traced her slender, cybernetic fingers. “I hope you have a good reason for summoning us after all these years.”
To Eidolon’s right, Jarek Meissar, his callsign Warden, loomed like a mountain of dark metal. His armor was a patchwork of heavy plating, etched with rune-like designs that pulsed faintly in sync with with the quiet hum of his augmented limbs. The helm obscuring his face gave him the appearance of some ancient knight, though the glowing vizor betrayed the advanced technology within the skin-sown helmet. A long, tattered cloak hung from his broad shoulders, and his massive vibroaxe rested across his lap, its polished edge etched with faint, glowing runes.
Warden remained silent, observing Mobius with a steady gaze. When he finally spoke, his voice was deep and rumbling, “If you’ve brought us back, Mobius, you must believe there’s something worth salvaging here.”
Mobius stepped into the circle, her heels clicking softly against the metallic floor. She scanned the room, her green eyes glancing at each of three assembled once more. “I didn’t come here to drag you out of retirement. I came to remind you who we are-and what we’ve lost.”
Sentinel scoffed, leaning back in his chair. “You mean what you lost when you dismantled us.”
“We disbanded because we fulfilled our purpose,” Mobius countered, unbothered by her once right hand man's attitude towards her. “But now, Crimson Dawn has taken everything we built-our techniques, our legacy-and they’re using it to undermine Orabashi’s operations.”
Eidolon tilted her head, her golden eyes narrowing. “And why should we care about Orabashi or the Empire? They abandoned us, after EVERYTHING we did for them. Just as you did.”
“This isn’t about them,” Mobius replied sharply, her gaze snapping to Eidolon. “It’s about us. About the Assassin’s Guild which WE brought unto its zenith! Crimson Dawn has stolen our name, our methods, and twisted them into some pathetic recreations. I won’t let them erase us.”
Warden stood, his massive frame casting a shadow across the room. “If we do this, we do it on our terms. No interference from Orabashi and your empire.”
Mobius nodded, her voice steady. “Agreed. This is about reclaiming what’s ours and ridding the galaxy of this stain on the name of the Assassin’s Guild. On the e name of MANTIS.”
Eidolon stood as well, her movements smooth and deliberate, “Then let's show what happens when they drag our name through the mud.” She said gripping her swords hilts roughly.
Sentinel smirked, rising from his seat with a predatory grin, the same one she remembers him using a lot during the prime of the guild. “Looks like you’ve still got some fire in you, Doyenne. Let’s see if it's enough to make this worth our time.”
The members of MANTIS-those who remained-gathered around Mobius as the lights grew brighter. She gave a faint smirk at the still remaining blind loyalty of her “siblings.” Now to hunt down this fool, Ochi. Once he’s in her hands and she no longer needs them, she can finally destroy the last remnants of MANTIS, her greatest weakness.

    Part 16: Druckenwell
The fall of Druckenwell was as odd as it was swift. A dozen old Acclamator assault ships had engaged the moderate defences of the planet and wiped them out, suffering the losses of three of their number. Upon hearing the news, Silvius, as protector of the area, called an emergency meeting, having been the first to hear of the attack:
"This can go on no longer!" He snapped. "We must relieve the defenders of the planet. The Eighth Anti Aircraft Corps is stationed on the planet, and if we get to Druckenwell we can-"
An officer entered his bridge, cutting him off.
"I'm sorry sir," he said, "Druckenwell has fallen and the Eighth Anti Aircraft Corps have retreated to Milagro. The Black Sun have taken the planet."
Breathing thoughtfully, the Commodore dismissed the officer before addressing his peers.
"And that, gentlemen, is our sign to attack. We must put an end to this threat now, for all our sakes. These old Clone War ships have been plaguing us since Geonosis. These criminals must be stopped."
He said no more, and Admiral Ozzel, now fully returned to the fleet, addressed the cohort:
"I agree, we must do something. All captains, muster your crews and prepare for the jump to lightspeed. We will catch these fools off guard and crush them, or at least make them flee and thereby trap their own troops on the planet."
So it was to be. The Third Fleet made the desperate jump to Druckenwell. Upon arrival, they were met with the carrier onslaught. Wave after wave of fighters careened into Captain Mister's cruiser, before Silvius arrived, catching the fleeing Hutt commander as he left in a transport. He was recovered, unconscious, by Silvius' space troopers and taken into Imperial custody.
As for the enemy fleet, they retreated in a cowardly fashion, as many of their ground forces were in the process of preparing to leave for other campaigns. The Victory cruisers eviscerated two of these troop transports as the Bellator destroyed two of the nine remaining Acclamators. The battle was won, and now the assault was to begin on the poor defenders of the planet. The Eighth Anti Aircraft Corps would have their revenge.

Imperial command operations on board continue to go as planned although a few Target worlds have still not been taken, the empire will soon be rid. I feel of the blasted hapes consortium with the fall of the hapes eventually to happen, I have put forward a small economic plan of what should occur. The short answer camps labor camps should be installed across key worlds in the hapes cluster it is only fitting. Choose to rise against the superior galactic empire and you will be enslaved by it used to help build items of the imperial army or for the kuat drive yards for the imperial Navy.
It might seem a little imperial to think about the time of the separatist conflict, but one thing I will say about their generals and leaders. They knew when to force others to work for them and when to use the local resources for testing. One separatist general that showed very key view of this belief was general Lok Durd how he wanted to use the people of the planet meridim to test the defoliator tank. It's only right that we wish to use the local resources to build the imperial Star fleet.
Now I could go on about other uses for the populations of these planets, but that would take up time for invasion preparation, the hapes consortium and the planet Chandrila Will simply be the next cogs to join the imperial war machine.
The Galaxy will be taught not to oppose the imperial military or forced conscription and destruction will lay in waste.

Imperial command. I present you back the planet Tanab The primary battle proceeded relatively to plan. However, I did have to bring my ship into a bit of a lower orbital position for a small period of time. I had to show this planet what it meant to rebel against the empire and allow your enemies to take a foothold in imperial territory, their capital city Pandath outer sectors now lay in ruins. What a marvelous display orbital bombardments are and it makes me think of something that late. Fury held firm as Adjudicator took hits from the swarm of Acclamators in front of her. As he watched Adjudicator and Sliooth ripe the Black Sun ships apart, he couldn't help but think of the investigation he would have to perform once this was over. Someone had sabotaged the navigation systems of the fleet, forcing everyone to jump out of hyperspace out of position, his own ship being the worst of them, ending up in orbit of Naboo's moon. A microhyperspace jump was able to fix the issue, but the attack in of itself infuriated Fury.
"Captain, our forces on the surface have been overwhelmed," an officer reported behind Fury, seeing the battle going well in his way.
Fury was certainly starting to feel like his name was being made true, as his own fury was reaching a peak. Fury had absolutely no ground forces to speak of and Naboo, the Emperor's homeworld, was occupied by criminals and mercenaries, and Lord Vader was on the way. Granted, the Grand Overseer was coming as well, but Fury would be lying if he said he wasn't worried. He had managed to stay in the Overseer's favor with his good work, but Lord Vader was another matter entirely. Hopefully, Fury can get out of this with his neck uncrushed.
    "Status on the enemy fleet."
"All ships destroyed, Captain. Shall we prepare for the Overseer's arrival?" Grey asked.
"Indeed. But maintain alert status throughout the fleet and keep an eye for any ships trying to escape the surface." Fury had to prepare himself to face the Emperor's Enforcer, and hopefully give a good enough reason for the lord to not kill him with his space magic.

    Stories of Xavier Rockdown: 26
The doors to the personal war room of one _particular_ Grand Admiral opened and allowed me to traverse through it, bringing me face-to-face to a familiar blue skinned and crimson eyed man.
    _Grand Admiral Thrawn_
Plastered on the Holo-projectors that circumvented the room were the recent reports of the enemy movement and of our own, along with other- seemingly useless and extra information.
The Chiss himself stood at the center of the room surrounded by his investigation notes, harkening a likeness to one of them protagonists of detective novels I read about from the holo.
"Vice admiral Rockdown" he spoke in a greeting tone, "A pleasure to meet you once again."
"Pleasure's all mine _Grand Admiral._ " I replied. "Funny how the first time we met, you held no rank nor power over me, yet you saved my life back then. Now I stand before you as your subordinate to your every command. Life is a grand mystery eh? Oh! You still owe me 10 credits, don't forget!"
A small smile broke out from the blue man's face, "You never changed, did you Xavier. Although I believe that debt was repaid in full."
He motioned me to come closer in the room and as we stood side by side, the wall of information plastered before us, he broke the silence once more "Now then, might I ask the reason for your visit, Vice Admiral?"
Turning towards him once again, I presented the case I had brought with me to him, holding it out-but not opening it.
"Well" I began, "Firstly, a welcome present."
Opening the case laid on red fabric, was a battle mask of the _Kaleesh._ "As an avid collector of historical artifacts, I believed something like this was to your liking. It belonged to the head of the insurrection on _Kalee_ we recently liberated, I had dealt with the brute, _personally_ "
Thrawn had that same look he did whenever he looked at anything which was related to his hobby, an appreciative but calculative gaze as he studied the battle-mask. "This is, indeed a wonderful gift, although I am curious of your _second_ reason for your visit."
"Well, Grand Admiral." I began, a smile slipping on my face "I have heard of your recent program for a new fighter in _Yaga Minor._ However, the recent uprising of that fool Zarrin led to delays of the advanced line of fighters. Fighters we _desperately_ need against our foes. Production of other factories are stopped before they begin because of the infighting and other bureaucratic nonsense."
"What are you suggesting?" The Chiss inquired.
"Simple, more production yards, hopefully in the _Core_ itself. Luckily! I have contacts who _could_ help."
Unamused, Thrawn merely raised an eyebrow and went straight to the point, "And what do you gain from this? Help in another project perhaps?"
"You never miss the mark, do you?" Taking a step to the control panel and removing a drive from my pocket, getting a quick affirmation to use the system. I opened the file and said aloud.
"Grand Admiral Thrawn of the 5th Fleet. Allow me to present to you the cornour-stone for Imperial Armada. One which- when completed, will allow us to dominate _any_ space-battle. Outfitted with the most advanced of systems and the best of Fighters. This is.
_The Mark III Class Star Destroyer_ "
Narrowing his eyes, Thrawn made a quick analysis of the ship. Any friendly banter of the room was lost as the room suddenly became cold with the fate of the galaxy in the balance. "And _why_ pray tell, would I greenlight such a project. Not when the current ships-of-the-line perform admirably." He said, pointing towards the images of the fleet currently in the system. "We should not make the same mistake Tarkin did with the _Death Star_ and instead focus on the production of smaller vessels."
Like as if the smile was slapped from my face, I quickly tried to convince him to reconsider "Do not mistake this project for Tarkin's failure! While you may be correct in your assessment. You shouldn't deny that our enemies _are_ getting stronger. The Black-Sun in particular keeps storming most of our planets with ease, each failing _saps_ at our morale. What we _need_ is a symbol of hope, a force- multiplier against these scavengers."
Coming closer to him I gave him an ultimatum. "Also, should you choose to help me with this project, we shall see _many_ fighter production yards in the near future. Fighter superiority and battlefield dominion *will* be in the Empire's hand."
Extending my hand out to him, I asked for confirmation. "In short, you help me with this project, and your dream fighter will be built for *every* ship that flies the imperial banner. Of this I promise."
Looking at my hand, the Chiss gave a chuckle and said. "Same old _Captain_ Rockdown, always wanting a bigger ship. I accept your offer. If only that you uphold your end of the vargin and get me my fighters." So saying such, he shook my hand and the deal was sealed.
This would mark the birth of a new ship that would Solidify imperial control should it be completed.
    Long Live The Empire.
