It's called tuna because of the fruit that comes from the cactus. In Mexico we call that fruit Tuna which in English i think it's called prickly pear but we call the cactus nopal and both the cactus and the fruit are edibles 🙌🏼🇲🇽
In Mexico and California “Tuna” is the reddish apple that the Cactus produces. The cactus itself can be boiled / drained and served with eggs and many other dishes. It goes by the name of “Nopales” as the plant itself.
@@MEAT_CANNON we use the flat cactus for shampoo we call it tuna the fruit is completely different it's called prickly pear I used to harvest it in Arizona and make juice

I used to have these cactus in my yard in Miami close by down there.. i always had them around as a kid, no idea it was medical. it grows so easy by itself. And sometimes it makes a nice pink flower a few time a year.

I grow prickly pear & always pick wild cactus fruits. Prickly pear is a pretty big cactus variety. They're all edible. The kind in this video looks really good. I bet the fruit is delicious too. The cactus I have has to be eaten when the petals are young. It basically has a vein structure that gets really tough when it gets to mature. It also has a bunch of tiny hair like spines that really suck to get in your skin. Chucky's looks like it doesn't have either problem.
