He was truthful about it but Defne’s UNREASONABLE anger at Omer is really something. Ok she’s jealous but it comes with having a relationship. Defne’s anger at Omer is borne from the fact that she COULDN’T explain to Omer her predicament/problem with Fikret - money she borrowed from her- without divulging her long, intensely guarded secret. She blew up at Omer in front of everybody, without thinking how her action would look on Omer! Defne’s social etiquette is ZERO. When she told Omer that “she’d be the one blamed again” she should really think hard about that. Everything that happened til now is because of her wrong decisions/acts.

His EVET means Defne just had a good timing and better luck, otherwise Fekret would have easily taken her place. His EVET means Defne is just another woman, not THE woman of his life. Every time I watch this episode, I'm shocked at people thinking that Ömer is the perfect man. He lied about having to work, so he could go the hilltop with Fikret and reminisce in their old stomping grounds. The only reason Defne found out, is because she could not get ahold of him (his phone was on silent), so she called Sinan and he told her that Ömer and Fikret left together to work on the fashion show. LIE. He gets back way past dinner time and the food Defne cooked for them is cold. He acts shocked that she's upset about it! He is either SUPER DENSE or just playing stupid. Fikret asks him "What about US?" and he doesn't get a red flag about her intention with that question? Defne is paranoid? She asks her fiancée if she was out of the picture would he fall in love with Fikret and his answer is EVET! A firm EVET even! And she's supposed to not feel anything about it? Seriously. Sinan really enlightens him as to how stupid it was for him to say that!
Selim can't come to her house, but Iz, Fikret, Yasemin, and any other woman can come to HIS house?? Double standard!
The day he went to ask for Defne's hand in marriage, he had Defne leave with his uncle, so he could take a cab to Fikrets place. Didn't tell Defne about that either. He's gone multiple times as an engaged man, to Fikret's flat. Fikret comes to his house at night. Holding hands with Fikret during the fashion show? He allows anything a woman does. He allows them to kiss him, touch him. Defne does not behave that way with men. He went crazy just because of Selim, which is nothing compared to what he's done!
Men will always play stupid / “don’t know what you are talking about“ when they are caught.
She shows too much her love for him, some too obvious admiration for him, it’s clear that a girl’s first love and especially such a handsome man, but it was impossible to forgive him everything so easily!!! She constructs sentences somehow absurdly, cannot answer questions adequately, it seems that they are deliberately making her into such an indecisive, clueless girl! And then, once she gets smarter, they take her into account and ask for advice! some kind of ill-conceived plot!
Why would Defne feel bad with Omer’s answer. Her STUPID scenarios is SHE & Omer didn’t meet then but fikret & Omer did reconnect. So it could happen that they might fall in love with each other.

I feel very sorry for Define in this episode after many struggles ( and yes I get the whole thing about the lies ) after finally giving herself to Omer he totally ignores her for several hours phone off no contact during his “catch up “ with Fikret . An old girlfriend And not understanding Defines feelings & insecurity he didn’t even hesitate before he answered the question knowing that this would hurt her . A guilty conscience maybe ? perhaps he actually thought about it Way to go Omer you really know how to make a woman feel special after sleeping with her .
And then when Define leaves he doesn’t bother to check up on her spending all his time with Fikret leading the media to speculate about their relationship

Ömer DOES act a little personal and unprofessional with Fikret. I think as a man, he does not know how to place boundaries with women. Yasemin would practically sit on his lap, touch him inappropriately, so did all the other women in his life. Defne is the only one that is shy and pulls away from him. What I really hate is that the chemistry is great, of course, but in real life, he would have a ton of red flags. He cannot say "no" to women. (SPOILER ALERT: He does not confess to Defne that Fikret came on to him. He doesn't know she was listening in to their conversation, so as far as he's concerned, she has no idea that Fikret came on to him when he knows he accused her of being paranoid and ridiculous. A just man would have apologized and confessed the truth that Defne was right about Fikret all along. He's a little spineless and letting Fikret hold his hand in victory in front of Defne, was just too much. In real life, I would have dumped him long ago. After Iz, Yesemin, Fekrit, and I know I might be missing some women, I would have been long gone. He spent days and nights with Iz as his ex, she spent the night in his house, he kissed her (who cares about his drunken stupor that he imagined she was Defne; he still passionately kissed Iz) , but he goes crazy over nothing with Selim flirting with Defne. Seriously, he's slightly psychotic.
I know many have watched this many times as I have ❤ .... so dont' read on for spoiler alerts: But, after this episode, I am soooo glad that Ömer got the suffering he deserved in Season 2, when all the truth is on the table. But honestly, he received a lot of grace, patience, and mercy from Defne. He suffered a fraction of what HE made her suffer. But I love that Ömer didn't mess around in season 2- he fought for her and only her for the entire season.
But Defne put up with Omer. Man goes crazy if they see another man going after their women. Women stay with a man , but man if they see their woman showing interest in another man they dump them. Men will go find another woman who would want to be with them.
