Well the finished product is beautiful man! The mounting system is so neat and simple yet so effective, well done! Maybe some louvers in the skirts might look cool, but do look awesome just like way they are.

I have a question. Was anything done to prevent the skirt edge from damaging the paint since that edge is against the fender? Would it have been better to create a flat surface to rest against the body then add a soft material or coating to that surface?

I''m in WA too, I'm thinking about getting a Hilux chassis (like an LN106 model from the 90's) and pinching it in (although it looks like it would be pretty close from factory) and putting a roadster body on top and things I want. Being a truck, that means that I'd be able to get away with more as far as licensing, and engine choices. Just wondering what you guys think about that, and do you have any advice?

An option if you HAVE to do something to the skirts would be to ports to match the ports on the hood to mimic side exit exhaust.

Why not just use a really strong magnets with felt on them so they don’t damage the paint on the car, and glue them to the skirt
I'm not sure why could you explain why you would lay on your shop floor you must have a lift. Or even some jack stands and the hydraulic jack.😊
