wow, i didn't expect the background of this group. I thought it was just another group under a random company, but this group!!! youtubers,tiktoker??. Damn they can for sure make it big if sign up with big company because right now their music were already on top of my playlist.So good.
@@nakanominji7532 add to that their bassist and guitarist didn't really know how to play their instruments that well when they got formed. Magenta played little bass on stream as a hobby, and Hina play more of piano. Both really trains hard to be good on their instruments.

Qwer is the most interesting group. Just watching the first vids on their channel tells the story of the inception of the band. Everyone thought it is going to be a common creator initiated temporary thing. But the music is just too good.

QWER concept is anime oshi no ko, bocchi the rock and k-on, the CEO and bassist is otaku,, so yeah their vibes is j-pop, j-rock
Yo, I literally only found this group last night from YT's recommendation and I have already added 3 of their songs on my playlist! Definitely gonna check out more of their songs now.
I'm Korean, and I was surprised to see so many English comments on this reaction video. I was going to write a comment to explain QWER, but many people have already explained QWER in detail. Since QWER is getting such a great response in Korea right now, I didn't think it would have many international fans yet, but I guess not.
I'm glad to see so many people have already described it in detail. Please also react to QWER's debut song. They are the first influencer band to enter the Top 100 of the music charts in Korea, and they are doing well without appearing on TV. I hope the translator did a good job.

The MV plot is Magenta(bassist) is in love with Chodan(drummer) and wants to confess her feelings. She is stopped from confessing on the rooftop by Hina(guitarist) because Hina is in love with her
I also starting crying when you said Kim Egg has a bald cap on. No his head is really shaved. He is mostly known as a fitness UA-camr but he's their CEO of this "project group". It seemed like they were only supposed to do 1 album but it had more success than they thought.
Their name is based on the keyboard/LoL hotkeys. As you can tell they full on embrace the Japanese/anime sound and aesthetic
siyeon the vocalist is actually a former NMB48 member!
And she was 2nd place of AKB48 Group Vocal Contest. I know her since NMB48 debut, but I'm glad QWER's successful. My little dream is watching dance challenge her and Sakura of LE SSERAFIM.

This band is incredible. I’ve been following Chodan for years and this completely slipped past me till today. She’s a pretty incredible drummer, I hope they see great success.

edit: okay so the girl infront of the mic is the vocalist, 95% is her singing, but the others do have some parts in their songs, they all can sing.
The mv was filmed in japan, but they are a korean band but with a idol twist to them. So they stand in the middle of idols and bands, pretty interesting.
They have a series on their youtube channel, where you can see every member coming together and getting to know each other. Really funny and cool to see how the group was formed.

FINALLY BROOOO, you can check out their utube vids documenting how they were formed by the bald shades egg guy (quite a handful of episodes, i recommend slowly watching it). Member R- Siyeon sings most parts of the song and her vocals are clean and crispy AF!! You'll know what I mean when you see clips of her singing! ❤❤❤❤

It was started originally by Egg Kim (Korean gym youtuber) for youtube contents to create a band idol group with influencers (mostly from twitch, youtube, tiktok etc).
Then the first song was pretty successful, and now they're selling many albums considering they are not traditional idol group.
So in Korea, non traditional idol groups are getiing big every year such as Isedol (female vtuber idol group from Twitch)
or PLAVE (male vtuber idol group who won 1st in Music Core recently and sells a lot of albums)
And the gap between influencer/streamers and celebrities are getting closer very fast
i love all of them and it sucks that there are still quite a lot of people(mostly koreans) who stone them for originating from "darker" places
especially a lot of jealous females for qwer's case
i'm glad they're trending well for the general public

I've been a fan since before their debut and I'm just going to say Siyeoming really made this group for me, her vocals are perfect for the sound they are going for.
And yes despite being Korean they are a lot more J-POP/J-ROCK sounding than K-POP.
i used to follow magenta on twitch years ago, and its crazy to see her in a whole kpop band. and the songs are actual bops too.

Damn yes!!! Didnt expect you to react to QWER!! They are made of influencers (mainly twitch streamers and titok creator). Actually there is only one singing in this group, her name is Siyeon. She is the only one that actually was an idol in Japan. I hope you check out their debut album as well! Their songs are just so good to listen
The lore behind the creation of this group was based on "Bocchi the Rock" but after Egg Kim (the bald guy is their CEO) watched "Idol" he then wanted to make a band with Chodan. QWER comes from the game LOL (it is the default key in the keyboard to use a skill), also the fandom name "Ba wi ge" means "Scuttle crab" which is a critter in LOL. They are all Koreans with different lines of work that's why they named their first single "Discord" which means harmony in discord.

Their name QWER refers to the keyboard order of the skill arrangement from League of Legends. Their fandom name is Scuttle Crabs, which also referencing to a monster in the same game.
