Very good question . Such questions make us do more research and in the process learn a lot. Can we add five set clutch plates in 350 cc? All these days I used to think that 5set clutch plates are for 500 cc. (In old model CI)
The clutch lever inside the gear box should have a play of 3 mm - 4 mm that can be adjusted by clutch lever adjuster present in the gear box or it can also be adjusted by using the adjustable lick nut in the clutch cable. In 350cc Royal Enfield comes with 3 plate assembly and for 500 cc it is four plate assembly. The conversion from 3 plates to 4 plates can be made in 350 cc by using 4 endurance friction plate and an additional plane plate. For 500 cc we have to use 5 endurance friction plate and an additional plane plate. The thickness of friction plate is lesser when compared to Royal Enfield original frictional plate, but as the number of plates is increased the performance is better when compared.
If we go for heavy crank, in top gear we can move in 15 kmph also we can move in fourth gear while ascending the slope without any gear shifting. But the will be a mild reduction in the mileage. A normal heavy crank weighs about 10.100kg
hi sir, my bullet(1996 model) is knocking in speed of 40kmph at 4th gear. Replacing it with heavy crank will the knocking stop? if yes then will it hamper my engine in the long run?

Sir i have 2001 model standard which have 8 kg crank weight .i wants to replace it with 71 model crank .it would be better or waste of money?
