They are awesome. Like a scooter but better. I think you would really enjoy the 250, come by and ride it. I will be in the garage all day. Hopefully some Kawi vids coming soon!
Seeing some comments about how the grey wire is supposed to be in the 6 prong connector and that the 2 prong connector with the gray wire you cut was for the kill switch? Is this true or did it work out for you how you described in the video? I have an 02 WR250F wanting to make sure before I go cutting.
This video is 9 years old. I can tell you for sure that wire has nothing to do with the kill switch. This 2001 had the grey wire and cutting it made a big difference on the top end, especially for a heavier rider.
isnt the two wire connector the kill switch,? yeah, a gray wire, but cutting that defeats the kill switch, not ECU mapping? The gray wire would be in one of the six wire connectors? Confused.
Does anyone know if the 2002 wr250f has the grey wire? The only grey wire I found is in a 2 wire harness, not a 6. There is one black wire and one grey wire in that harness. Any help is greatly appreciated!
If it has no battery it will struggle to keep it lit at idle, but there is a 12V takeoff from the regulator /rectifier. That will give you 12V at the light when you need it.
you've got me sorta interested in supermotos now..but that mean green kawa in the background looks like a hoot!!

If I heard him correctly, the grey wire is in with the black wire just them two. The blue wire is the one in the 6.
I have the same bike and I can't figure out how to get lighting on it to make it street legal. Any advice?

Part numbers would be appreciated my brother.

after how many km do you change the oil? thanks
On the street I recommend 1000 mile oil changes, filter every other time.
For a wr250f?? every 10 hours.
I have the same exact bike as you, I wish I could make mine street legal though :/
Depending on where you live it may not be that hard.
make your own oil ejecter from some old plastick
