Very good breakdown of costs/benefits. Like I tell many of my customers (I own a Trotec Laser 400 flexx), CNCROi.com is in the "middle ground" where the cost of getting their own machine + employee is too high as they don't have enough volume and once the volume kicks in, they will eventually "graduate" to getting their own equipment. The advantage to using a shop like mine is that you only have to pay when you use us so if you have a slow period or things change, you aren't on the hook for equipment + employee but for a company that has extremely regular requirements, the ROI of getting your own Trotec Laser (the best on the market) makes total sense and a FLEXX is a no-brainer. I would dispite Trotec being the best laser system on the market. Universal blows them away on every performance metric. Sure, Trotec is cheaper, but only because they are propped up by Trodat. You get what you pay for.
Can you give the same comparison with your SpeedMarker 300, 30 watt non MOPA fiber laser. I realize that the plastic tags may have to be changed to a different material. I would also like to know what the MTBF would be. Thanks

Cost of the machine is calculated. The tool must be amortized. Fiber is more expensive. The Flexx cost a bit more but that is well offset by the product mix you will experience.

Our machines are meant to make money not cost money. We have many clients who are new and small that cater to making plastic and metal tags for massive companies.

@@TrotecLaserCanada the price of the Tag should remain the same because it is a material cost. it should have changed between the 3 lasers
