Using the Test Light is a big improvement over the Healtech instructions, I've broken them down further: 1 Find the two powered hot wires to the two coils with a test light. 2 On Coil 1 unplug Hot Wire, Isolate with tape then Plug in the GREEN QSH wire to hotside of coil (Leave the negative plugged in it stays as is) 3 On Coil 2 unplug Hot Wire and plug it into the RED QSH wire. Plug the QSH GREEN wire into the hot side of the coil. Unplug the negative wire on Coil 2, splice in the WHITE QSH wire and reconnect to negative side of coil 4 Attach Ground

Here is a full throttle test on my 2004 cbr1000rr: This is a test-run in higher rpm range: ua-cam.com/video/PLcBnk6NFkI/v-deo.html After some (easy) in app tuning of the killtimes (slightly shorter) via my iphone, it changes gears so smooth. And it's just impossible not to like the gearshifting sound in my opinion.

I see in the manual, that this can be used for clutchless up AND DOWN shifts (in some limited scenarios)! Do you use it for / have you tried using it for clutchless down shifts? (The manual says only for 6-4th gears on partial throttle, so it's a bit limited as a downshifter, but still pretty cool if it works)
I have not tried to use it for clutchless downshifts. I read that when I installed this and would suggest just sticking with the upshift feature and not pursuing the down shift portion. - Van
When it comes do downshifts It will only work on partial throttle when the gearbox is drive loaded i.e. you're accelerating but just want to drop a gear, when engine braking (off throttle) ignition cut does nothing to unload the gear dogs - it would have to blip the throttle for you which it doesn't. I think it's slightly misleading or could be understood incorrectly by the users. There's nothing better for that price though, gonna give it a try myself!
@@quniok I've been blipping downshifts for so long that the upshift function on this thing is cool, but downshifting since you don't "lose performance" by just manually blipping the throttle, are unimportant to me. I lose time blipping the throttle on an upshift, so the upshifter is great. But I've never noticed any advantage to an automatic downshift so it has no appeal to me. Plus, blipping a downshift is kind of fun... an automatic version might take that fun away.... and we all get on these things initially for the fun factor so that's my humble two cents on downshifting.

Yes, it is a 600cc naked four-cylinder yamaha motorcycle, which uses pipes in the ignition of the sails. Therefore, it would have to intercept the signal at the entrance of the coil as in this r3
No the quick shifters do not cause any wear on the gearbox. We are having the motor on this R3 built right now and the engine builder said the gearbox was in excellent condition when he tore it down. - Van
