Dodge scales very high cause of math. 45 dodge is statistically superior to three-shot health due to the dodge scale negating a lot more damage than 3 shot health can tank. I calculated this with a spreadsheet before I made that statement, and I still play it off as a joke with a punchline right after that. Since you mention it you are not the only one that got the wrong message from the video, i could have done a better job but i will be away for a while so i had to rush the video process. It is not as clean as i would like to.

You can switch from the piglet to your secondary after firing it, and any kills from the explosion will count towards the piglet reload. It actually feels insane in practice, the piglet will sometimes just reload itself from the kills.
The closing words allude to a thought I had that perhaps Copycat was really a mechanical proof of concept, a testing ground for swappable perk deck effects in advance of 3, otherwise why go through the trouble of making something which needed the UI changed in form and function for the final breaths of a game. I personally expect to see something like the perk decks return but with every deck having swappable benefits like copycat does now, as an example in payday 2 context this would be a stoic player being able to choose between calm and a flat cooldown reduction for his card.

- Copycat in my POV just makes weaker decks stronger, and stronger decks weaker. I put it worst S tier deck, behind KP/Stoic/Hacker/Leech. - Doing ICTV setups with 1 armor card is pointless as Socio literally gives that 10% armor breakpoint, and you have that uber health. - It's a great deck and makes everything else below S tier fun to play, health or dodge setups. Deck isn't amazing, but is super strong. - The Cat-Armorer 2 second feature is a debate. If you don't run zerk, then the 2 second invul is annoying. But frenzy is consistent for it, or get shot by a 225 unit without frenzy. If HP is half and your armor breaks, 2seconds always works. I don't get why community saying it is bugged. - Anarchist and CopyCat 2 second is funny. They work independently. If your armor and HP are below 50% and it breaks, both trigger same time. But if the 15 second Cat comes first then you have the 15 seconds til the Anarchist comes back. I was able to show this on my stream the other day. Sorry for wall of text.
1. Agreed. The reason video exists is to give counter arguments to some of the stuff I read. But I wasn't comfortable naming random strangers on the internet and I forgot to explain it clearly. 2. Getting 4 health and socio card doesn't give you more healing than base copycats capabilities. If you want more healing without the usage of skills, you have to swap the socios card to something else that does. To get the two shot armor again, you end up swapping one health card to armor. 3. The deck doesn't have a balance problem in my experience, I couldn't communicate this clearly since I was in a rush. 4. The two seconds is literally bugged. It doesn't check the health loss so it will trigger the moment any damage is taken if your health is under 50%. This means with two shot armor below 50% health, the deck might just waste that itself. Yes what I said in the video isn't correct but I learned that later upon further testing. 5. I have nothing else to add to that. I wish I had to the time to fully realize this videos concept. Honestly I am regretting the state of the video.

All of my hopes for copycat were ruined when i saw that it does not have the full kingpin injector effect. All my hopes were however restored upon learning of the existence of the leech to kingpin mod. I am so dissapointed i cannot actually buy kingpin though.

This video's intention was to break some of the misconceptions I read in comments and online in a fast and concise way but I think I missed the mark on that.
Found out that headshotting anything except civilians (including dominated enemies and converted units) heals you. My guess to why this happens is probably because they stole the code stole the code from bullseye skill, and then changed armor gain on headshot to healing. This also explains, why heal on headshot does not gets blocked by Berserker
On good side though, 30% health by default is enough to survive a light shot to health, which is not useful... But eh, whatever, I'm taking it. Being limited to only a few weapons that can take advantage of 40% berserker though is bad...
I would also like to note how something else was that the game's performance is way worse during the Christmas event. I am not lying to you when the only time I could get into a "playable" dsod loud white house lobby was with russians at 4 am. I remember crashing about one tenth of the time compared to when I rarely crash at all with this game due to having a pc that lets me run the game at high textures with 120 fps. I honestly saw no reason to run the new sniper unless you were a free player. I tried to use a cavity with it and it felt like I only needed the north star when my ammo was low with cavity or there was shield. I genuinely feel like this is one of the worst updates I have ever seen. Even worse than when damage range multipliers came out. This is coming from a man that joined when the bomb heists came out might say something but jesus I hope to god the updates aren't as fucked as this when payday 3 comes out. I hope we go back to the fun times of the hoxton house warming party to the city of gold collection when pd3 comes out. I give you props for making a build on copycat as I was one of those players thinking it was better kingpin. I really appreciate you going into all this stuff about payday 2 as it has shown me so many cool ways to play the game. I'd say for example would be showing us what guns are actually fun and good to run for dsod, as this ties back to when you talk about updates. I know this is a 1 year ago release, but I wanna give my point... Copycat is awesome on lower difficulties like Overkill or DeathWish; because on these difficulties you can get away with alot more viable build variety, it means that something like Copycat Stoic ends up being better than normal Stoic. Why? Because you can get away with running LBV stoic on those difficulties, and it is a lot more convenient to do so with Copycat stoic as opposed to basic Stoic.
Smh leaving out my ICTV hacker build from my comment I think personally Id have a lot more fun with copycat if they let you toggle the self heal off, and changed infil's card to melee bonus/heal instead of the basically useless DR ;-;

Sociopath's armor gating isn't good only because it gives you enough armor with bullseye to tank a light shot, but because it's faster than bullseye altogether, as long as your weapons can kill enemies fast. This allows you to potentially save points by not grabbing Bullseye altogether, or double up on armor gating by getting both. Anarchist's card is arguably even better, because it's basically a constant, completely passive bullseye. You don't even have to do anything for the anarchist card to work, you are CONSTANTLY armor gating. This is necessary just for Anarchists to survive with the extra armor gating they get with the rest of that deck's cards, but on a deck that can back that up with 410 health and two separate layers of invuln, it's pretty powerful, to say the least. Using it with Suit is obviously optimal to maximize weapon potential with crits. Hell even Expert Close Combat is a decent choice with full health hostage taker Copycat because it's basically free Frenzy Aced with none of the downsides, and that gives you two shot ICTV and three shot health at the same time. There are many different way to play full health Copycat imo. You could even make an argument that just 410 health with 70 armor with hostage taker is already good enough for surviving with consistency (consistency is my biggest problem with all dodge perk decks) and instead pick a card to maximize your killing potential. Sadly there just aren't too many of those, but you do have Ambidexterity to make your overpowered akimbos even more overpowered, and there's definitely an argument for Code Glitch as well, since being able to stun enemies including LMG dozers with a button press is strong both defensively and offensively and good for pushing objectives. But again, in my opinion, Copycat's best feature is weapon switching, because it lets me use secondaries other than pistols without worrying about not having Equilibrium. Weapons with extensively long switch animations also become much easier to use. Sometimes just being able to use the right weapon for the right situation on demand feels like a buff.
How do you install the leech to kingpin mod? I've been trying to, but despite my efforts I have come up short. Can someone please explain to me how to do it?
when i heard "customizable deck" i thought we could take any 1/3/5/7/9 card from any deck and put it in the same slots as the number. So you could choose card 1, 4,7 out of one deck and mix it with another. No clue how throwables would have worked
hmm, so starters, leech vs kingpin, kingpin isnt invincible on ds coz green dozer have bigger dmg than what your hp is which means you die after 1 shot of greendozer, while leech takes 2 segments of hp and thats it. if thats changed recently then iam sorry coz i didnt knew, but thats how it was even with 30% more hp from jokers
@@Bay1k its one death already even with kingpin active which prooves my point :D leech is better kingpin for many reasons and i do agree that copycat is just perk that isnt as good as these perks on their own, yet with speed while crouching. this is best stealth build in the game for making sure you are faster. gold walking speed is same as without it so i can say these perks are better on their own, but i do think that hacker at least isnt better than copycat hacker.

Bug three; sometimes the game doesn't re-fresh your downs when using a doctor bag. I don't have the footage of it so can't prove it visually. But it sometimes happens. Look I played with leech a lot. I give it enough chances before I reached the conclusions that I did. I rather not risk my enjoyment of the game by using a deck that can kill me for no reason. If you don't believe me, just ask an another member of a Ds community. If you enjoy the deck that is fine too, but stop being an apologist. If you are contempt with the decks problems, overkill is not going to fix it, hence WHY the deck remained in this buggy state for 8 months.

Getting more of it while still having the decks innate two seconds is numerically better because of dodge scaling higher than other forms of tanking. It is not a bad build but you can always get something better. Also one thing I couldn't explain in this video clearly was the people's exaggerated notion of "OmG ThIs DeCk is so OP", which isn't true at all with what people end up proposing as OP compared to the actual numerical truth, which was the debate. Yeah I am pedantic but in hindsight this video is kinda poorly made and I could have explained things better.

well they wanted to make a jack of all trade so to be all... the design of the the whole lots of decks is simple... 1 deck all health.. muscle 1 deck all armor ...armorer (they got some insghtful inspirationthere) 1 deck all dodge... rogue 1 deck which is dodge + armor ... crook 1 deck with damage redux from a limited distance to make it focussed on melee... Infiltrator 1 deck about aggro dropping and thus more about stealth... burglar 1 deck about health recovery.... grinder 1 deck about armor recovery... anarchist 1 deck about both armor and health recovery... biker then few support decks.... 1 around ammo pickup lol they must have laughed thinking about that one!!... gambler 1 support around hostage... crew chief 1 support around around damage protection... maniac the remaining are either thematic based on movies or same shit around a gimmicky throwable use item. so I guess they wanted to make a jack of all health/dodge/armor hybrid... the thing is they could have tried to do a Dodge/health or Dodge/Armor hybrid since there is none... well I think that Yakuza should has been the armor/dodge hybrid... adding dodge scaling along armor based on missing health would had made it more viable.

They did not think this deck through at all. The final card for armorer is the same as socio's except socio gets armor gating!

This is necessary just for Anarchists to survive with the extra armor gating they get with the rest of that deck's cards, but on a deck that can back that up with 410 health and two separate layers of invuln, it's pretty powerful, to say the least. Using it with Suit is obviously optimal to maximize weapon potential with crits.
Hell even Expert Close Combat is a decent choice with full health hostage taker Copycat because it's basically free Frenzy Aced with none of the downsides, and that gives you two shot ICTV and three shot health at the same time.
There are many different way to play full health Copycat imo.
You could even make an argument that just 410 health with 70 armor with hostage taker is already good enough for surviving with consistency (consistency is my biggest problem with all dodge perk decks) and instead pick a card to maximize your killing potential. Sadly there just aren't too many of those, but you do have Ambidexterity to make your overpowered akimbos even more overpowered, and there's definitely an argument for Code Glitch as well, since being able to stun enemies including LMG dozers with a button press is strong both defensively and offensively and good for pushing objectives.
But again, in my opinion, Copycat's best feature is weapon switching, because it lets me use secondaries other than pistols without worrying about not having Equilibrium. Weapons with extensively long switch animations also become much easier to use. Sometimes just being able to use the right weapon for the right situation on demand feels like a buff.
copycat stoic ictv has been the only setup where i have ever used all 14 of my first aid kits

@@Bay1k I grew up with stronghold and crusader. It will always be a timeless classic, plus their ost is great
when i heard "customizable deck" i thought we could take any 1/3/5/7/9 card from any deck and put it in the same slots as the number. So you could choose card 1, 4,7 out of one deck and mix it with another. No clue how throwables would have worked

hmm, so starters, leech vs kingpin, kingpin isnt invincible on ds coz green dozer have bigger dmg than what your hp is which means you die after 1 shot of greendozer, while leech takes 2 segments of hp and thats it. if thats changed recently then iam sorry coz i didnt knew, but thats how it was even with 30% more hp from jokers

@@Bay1k its one death already even with kingpin active which prooves my point :D leech is better kingpin for many reasons and i do agree that copycat is just perk that isnt as good as these perks on their own, yet with speed while crouching. this is best stealth build in the game for making sure you are faster. gold walking speed is same as without it so i can say these perks are better on their own, but i do think that hacker at least isnt better than copycat hacker.

At the end of the effect you may just die if you just have a single chunk. By far the most common bug.

The game sometimes outright puts you into custody on first down after the leech ampule affect ends.
Bug three; sometimes the game doesn't re-fresh your downs when using a doctor bag. I don't have the footage of it so can't prove it visually. But it sometimes happens.
Look I played with leech a lot. I give it enough chances before I reached the conclusions that I did. I rather not risk my enjoyment of the game by using a deck that can kill me for no reason. If you don't believe me, just ask an another member of a Ds community. If you enjoy the deck that is fine too, but stop being an apologist. If you are contempt with the decks problems, overkill is not going to fix it, hence WHY the deck remained in this buggy state for 8 months.

@@wiktou8841 it is not terrible since dodge itself is a busted mechanic, but at the same time, dodge itself is a busted mechanic. Getting more of it while still having the decks innate two seconds is numerically better because of dodge scaling higher than other forms of tanking. It is not a bad build but you can always get something better. Also one thing I couldn't explain in this video clearly was the people's exaggerated notion of "OmG ThIs DeCk is so OP", which isn't true at all with what people end up proposing as OP compared to the actual numerical truth, which was the debate.

You waste both of your two seconds upon armor break if you health is already lower than 50%. I suggest going full dodge with frenzy instead of picking anarchist for the time being.

@@Ghstkng123 yeah just go for full dodge with burglars card with frenzy on top. Your two seconds will take effect on armor break. Just don't think this strat will be future proof. It is confirmed that two seconds of copycat is bugged and how it works after they fix it will be a mystery.

well I think that Yakuza should has been the armor/dodge hybrid... adding dodge scaling along armor based on missing health would had made it more viable.
