Hi Guys love what you do Just a thought but I saw a you tube video with a Tesla broke down at the side of the road. He asked a passing motorist when he stopped if he had and fuel. the guy said yes I do but you are all electric why do you need fuel. He opened his boot and he had a petrol powered generator in the boot. Just a thought if you have room for a small petrol/diesel generator it might just be a life saver. Regards
Thanks for doing that trip. I would not touch an ev even if you paid me to use one. You proved to me that lots of the charging points don't work or have troubles paying. I understand change happens but not when it is not thought out properly. Skye was one place i did not visit when i did our road trip around Scotland over thirty years ago. I look forward to your next adventure cheers.
Another great video guys, had an electric car for a year have now got rid just not enough chargers stressful a lot of waiting about give it another 5 years.
Gosh my nerves would have been on edge about finding charging places and not being stranded. Well done. Obviously worth it for the fabulous scenery. Thanks for a lovely video again. Take care xx
Thanks guys for taking us all along with you to Skye.I visit Skye often and camp on the Island,it’s magical.I am glad you enjoyed a part of Scotland.🏴🏴🏴
Thank you both! I went to sky the year of my head injury on my parent’s holiday. Sadly I have no recollection of our week on sky but of rain ,mist and waterfalls. Great to see what I do not remember.
Stunning place and on my bucket list, but not in an electric vehicle, I reckon you were lucky, imagine going there at peak holiday times!! Janine, some really creative editing, loved the vid. here's to the next episode and fingers crossed Morgan behaves himself once more!! Have fun and look after each other xx
Skye looks wonderful. Defiantly a bucket list destination, but by electric camper maybe it'll be too much stressful for most. You pair was brave and should have an award for taking that camper on a road-trip with a dodgy network of charging points. We can't wait for Ireland road-trip.
We absolutely love Scotland we go a couple of times every year in our van. Skye is stunning when you get away from the tourist spots. There’s no way we would ever consider travelling of the beaten track around the Highlands and Islands of Scotland in an EV the infrastructure isn’t there. Currently EV’s seem only suitable for towns. You guys need to spend a good chunk of time in Scotland, it’s fabulous especially the west coast. 😊
You two are awesome together. Heading to the isle of skye next year in memory of my late mom Skye Kinlock, her favorite vehicle she ever owned was her hippy VW campervan called Maggie lol. thanks for the vid 👍
I would love to tour Scotland , it’s on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing with us! Wait till you see the scenery on the Emerald Isle, breathtaking!!! Xx
We are off to Skye next week and only have two days. We hope to see some of what you’ve covered so thanks. Couldn’t cope with the worry of not finding charge so glad we have a normal van.
Very, very brave. Way too exciting for me. I can't live on the edge. The e' v and bleak island. I wouldn't be able to sleep. Thank you Guys for sharing. Have fun and good luck ❤❤❤
I was getting ready to watch this video….you know, snacks, a drink, headphones……my husband said “oh you must be off on your Sunday travels” 😂 Thank you for sharing, as always, it was beautiful! Stay safe ❤️
Apparently the cut down trees you noticed are mostly non native conifers and there’s a project to clear them and re plant native species, such as birch and some others,
so nice to see the country of my birth we moved away when i was 13 yrs old but after watching you guys i will go back in my motorhome and take in all that Scotland has to offer great vid guys
You need to keep one of those bluey chargers in your van so you can get charge whenever you want. The guy on wandering where has one he uses for cooking etc.
Another great video ❤. I have an affinity with Skye. It was while I was on holiday there in 1979 that I made the commitment to become vegitarian. I am pleased to say that it is a commitment that I have kept. ❤❤❤
Its a no from me regarding EVs, having to plan the charging stops is too stressful. Skye is beaitiful, the ferries take you to the Islands from Uig. I visited the Isle of Harris when i went to Skye, so wirth doing for anybody planning a trip.
It looks absolutely beautiful on the Isle of Skye. I didn’t realise it was so big, and mountainous. The fairy glen and fairy pools looked gorgeous. Another place to add to my ‘must see’ list. I hope the worry of charging up Maggie wasn’t too stressful. It would be for me. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Stay safe and happy travels xx
Yes it is surprisingly large and can take a while to get anywhere with many single track roads. I had a week there earlier this year and still didn't see all I wanted to.
Well done Liam and Janine what beautiful views I would strongly recommend not only having a sun roof but also carry a solar powered generator for extra backup and you can get a vertical wind power turbine that you just simply plug in and that will also provide enough electricity to charge the van without having to rely on plug ins sites
Wow, what a beautiful location. Definitely on my list. As ever, a great video. 28:45 The infrastructure is nowhere near ready for EV’s. Looking forward to your adventures on the Emerald Isle 👍👍👍
I would be like Janine after trying to find charging stations, my brain can't handle that kind of stress, I would be wiped out! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us everything looks beautiful!
Morgan +2 well usually. , The Isle of Skye is definitely a terrific place to visit with superb scenery as is much of Northern Scotland 😊 The whole electric vehicle thing is nothing shortvof shambolic & it certainly doesn't tempt me to have an ev ...petrol & diesel will go on for many many more years😊😊 excellent vlog great drone footage & keep up the great channel 👍 🎉
Skye is very busy In height of summer . I run an electric car and you just have to embrace that you have to stick the car on any charge you can get . The charge place Scotland chargers need to have the card to activate. I charge on 13a cable all over the place as I'm not in a hurry and lots of folk offer if you pay for the power . Glad you enjoyed my home area,
Still watching and Loving your adventures guys, another great sunday morning treat, watching you 2 enjoying life, skye looks nice can't wait for your ireland adventure though, thanks guys💯👍
Great video Skye is beautiful unfortunately electric is not the answer I sell cars and vans for a living residential values on ev’s are crashing nobody wants them due to range, charging facilities and cost beautiful old van though 😊
I went to Skye but whilst the rest of the country was seeing a 40 degree heatwave, I was seeing endless rain! So I need to go again. There's a good Co-op there and some nice restaurants.
Hi both what a lovely video, what a beautiful place you are living the best life .They need a lot more electric point's.Bit worried you were going to get stranded, looking forward to the next video Pam Rob
My wife and I went to Skye in 2006. It was a once in a lifetime UK trip for us (being Australian). I was hoping you'd go to Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls to see it again from your eyes. It's an incredibly beautiful place. Maybe next time? 😀
We toured Skye in 2017, unfortunately our experience was spoilt by rain rain and more rain. I still kept saying how beautiful it was though! We’ll go back one day! You’re van is so cute and easy on narrow roads. Looking forward to your next adventure!❤
Skye was absolutely stunning when toured it in our van but there is no way I could stand the stress of finding a working electric charging station. Electric vehicles remind me of the Betamax versus VCR and I think this is the case for EV’s. I think that for reliability town use is all they are fit for.
That's what I have commented on other youtube channels , they are ok for round the town or city's but if you want to go long-distance " no then they're simply , not going to work . and I am old enough to remember the debate about the betamax and the VHS machines . I personally thought betamax would have won . because the tapes were smaller . but hey who am I . I am just an old guy from Britain who has paid tax all his life and as stayed within the law 🇬🇧 .
You’re wrong about EVs being town cars, new EVs can travel 200 plus miles easy. Their problem was it was a converted van and only had slow charging, not sure of the range they had.
The range of 200 miles or more is not accurate because if on a long journey in winter if the air con ,heater, wipers, headlights for the weather conditions the batteries are drained extremely quick limiting the range, however a diesel / petrol vehicles range remains fairly constant making it more reliable. In the summer the ev is still affected with range when the auxiliary items are all in use.
You brought back happy memories of visits to Skye the last time I was there took the turntable ferry off the south end and spotted dolphins actually alongside before the ferry moved. Sadly you have. Confirmed the main problems with electric vehicles lack of places to charge the other issues (A) the range drops considerably when using lights wipers and heating not good at night when cold and raining (B)the normal range (C) in the event of breaking down you have to be put on a rollback cannot be towed because you will damage the drive train. The last one makes me laugh as a former carer for a family member if her mobility scooter failed there is a lever that disengages the motor allowing you to push it not fitted to electric car's
You have produced an excellent video. Skye is beautiful. You also showed the downside of owning an electric vehicle. Too many worries re charging points. Bit odd having a charging point in a carpark with a maximum stay of 45 minutes
I went to Skye in the early 60's! You had only the ferry where each car wheel was put in a net and craned onto the Mc Braynes ferry!..all incredibly dodgy! The roads were single track and grass grew up the middle of them. Absolutely nothing two ways! Mull was much the same. Stunning scenery as you discover.
Just a bit of advice guys. After a few days driving left hand drive, be mindful when you get back in Morgan. It sound daft but you tend to position your vehicle too close to the verge and its easy to clip your passenger side mirror on stuff. I've been there many times.
Ahhh.. It all looked amazing guys 🙏😍. Glad you found the campsite with the chargers 👌. I particularly loved the Fairy Glen area... gorgeous 💖. Keep on recking you two 😁🥰😘
I live in Scotland but never been to Skye, never knew it was so beautiful. Once again nothing phazes you two. Every problem is met with a smile. Hope the stone in the fairy circle brings you good forune you deserve it. This channel is my happy place😊.
its a horrid place tbh. i call it the moon with midgies. ive no idea what tourists see in the place. Ive wonderful friends there but the place itself is like hell. The electric charging just added another dimension of hell .
Great content as always, guys! Absolutely stunning views! My partner and I have several foxglove flowers in our garden. They stand out with there bright colours. I do hope you get Morgan back soon. Keep up the great work, and continue living the dream. Sending all of our best wishes to you both from Peterborough, UK.
when u said u were going to the old mann of store I thort u meant a shop for old folk 🤦♂️🤦♂️🙈😂🤣 looked real nice tho n that fairy glen was propa idyllic 💚
The nonchalance with which "Liam doing a dance" fits in is giving me life 😂❤ Love you guys. Would love to see you do the NC500 in Morgan. Definitely on my bucket list!!
Well done. I have an electric bike and charge issues are known as Battery anxiety…you must have experienced that a lot. Anyway you made it! All the best for the next.
EVs are a pain in the a*se especially in the north of Scotland! Wow, never known two guys to get so excited about Skye. I live up here and have been loads of times. We’re used to all it has to offer. Mind you, you didn’t do the best bit which is to climb up onto the Cuillin Ridge. Fantastic views from up there. There’s always next time.
We are lucky where I live. My island is roughly 80km long by 40km wide and there are over 300 charging points from 3kw to 7kw (most are free to use) then there are 12 x 50kw chargers active (cost €0.35 per KW), with more being installed. Just about all supermarket car parks/shopping centres have chargers and there are a lot of on street chargers to use. My Leaf only has a 24kw battery and I can get all around the island with that and know I can charge somewhere, without having to worry about charging. The app is great as can see what is available and reserve a supercharger in advance so no one else can get to it.
Did not know you were up here near my neck of the woods im just catching up on watching videos as ive just come back from Wales. I live Kinlochleven near Glencoe 20 miles from Fort William. Isle of Skye roads outside of Prtree full of pot holes ive found. Happy miles x
As cool as the camper van is, i believe and have witnessed currently that not alot of good comes from owning an EV of any calibre - from maintenance bills, towing, installation of charging ports, break down cover not to mention the lithium consumption which at source labour is just as bad for the environment. Definitely a good job yiu havent chosen any remote locations. An ev Definitely limits your travel capabilities. ❤stay safe guys x😊
fully agree with. You. The use of "questionable" labour shoots down the EV evangelists stone dead. Currently, the whole EV insustry has tanked with dropping sales and residuals of used EVs being with 15% of their original cost in less than a year. Garages dont want to repair them, Insurance companies routinely write them off with minium damage because its simply too expensive to repair and the total shambles of the UK charging infra structure make owning one a totally stressful experience. EV's are dead. Watch out for hydrogen. easier to use, current engines can be converted to use it and no driving 20 miles to find the charger is out of order or 40 cars wating to use tem. I'll stick with my diesel for now.
Oh and hydrogen is way less efficient roughly the same as petrol and diesel and is basically just an excuse for petrochemical industries to carry on regardless
Wow nice country views. The van is cool but the electric charging stations would not work for me. On average to recharge could we hours meaning delaying travel time. Idk maybe in few years when they perfect the process or add solar panels to constantly recharge as you drive
I used to subscribe to travel and leisure magazine, all your videos have such beautiful scenery they should be in a magazine for all to enjoy. Thank you for another wonderful video. 😊
Skye landscape absolutely amazing. Many thanks for bringing us along. The vlog for me just reconfirms EV infrastructure just not there yet. I simply don't even want to thing about the stress from where the next working charge point will be!!
I will stick to my dirty diesel until they sort out the infrastructure and depreciation of EVs. It would have spoiled my experience. Why hasn't the van got solar panels?
I’ve visited Skye every year since 2016, it’s magical whatever the weater, there are a few supermarkets, 2 co ops in portree, one in town one large one heading out of town lol, not sure I’d want to do it in an EV, at Quarriang in April videoed 12 hang gliders who stayed up for hours, was amazing.
I have never come across vloggers with such professionalism. The filming was absolute perfection. How you two manage a crazy adventure with excellent storytelling and filming is beyond me. Also you evoked alot of emotion within me as you displayed the SPECTACULAR scenery.. Ohhhhh the Fairy Glen was my favourite. Glad u got charge despite the challenges. Iv said this before and I will say it again..... There's a lot of successful vloggers who have been around for longer than Liam and Janine but they haven't got their skill level of storytelling and editing. You are both incredibly talented. Namaste and blessings Kas ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Janine 😘 Liam👊 Skye is a stunning Isle My 6 months winter 22’ was truly amazing I thought you may struggle with elec points on The Magical Misty Isles ! 😅 at present Ive major issues too with Christine ? You look so cozy sleeping in your van!
Also. You could get an air b and b with parking and run an extension cable to the vehicle overnight.

That's a WOW..Thanks Guy's.
Loved the video. We've been to Skye a few times and love it. For glorious empty beaches travel from Uig ( or Oban) to the Outer Hebrides.
I was getting ready to watch this video….you know, snacks, a drink, headphones……my husband said “oh you must be off on your Sunday travels” 😂 Thank you for sharing, as always, it was beautiful! Stay safe ❤️
Love that!😅
Apparently the cut down trees you noticed are mostly non native conifers and there’s a project to clear them and re plant native species, such as birch and some others,
Ah thats great to know thank you
Great video as always shows what a con they are ❤ safe journeys
Thank-you so much for taking us with you brought back many memories ,the roads and especially you both in the water paddling.lolgill
If ever charging stations don't work call the number on the charge station they can do a reboot
Most times it gets it working
That's good to know, although i was on the phone to them quite a bit in skye and they just moved me onto the next one haha
They like doing that ...insist they reboot it
I've always had success that way
so nice to see the country of my birth we moved away when i was 13 yrs old but after watching you guys i will go back in my motorhome and take in all that Scotland has to offer great vid guys
Awesome as usual! Just added to my bucket list!

Really inspiring video about Scottish scenery. I’m a kiwi and always singing praises of beauty of Scotland!
Such beautiful similarities between the two countries
Love you kiwis hope to see you in the Highlands soon
Lovely video - Skye looks amazing. Great to see your fellow youtuber Harriett Mills' Seafari business too. The boat ride looks amazing.
She was lovely

EVs are a pain in the a*se especially in the north of Scotland! Wow, never known two guys to get so excited about Skye. I live up here and have been loads of times. We’re used to all it has to offer. Mind you, you didn’t do the best bit which is to climb up onto the Cuillin Ridge. Fantastic views from up there. There’s always next time.
Great video as always. I think I would panic having a vehicle that needs to be charged at least with fuel you can carry a spare canister. Xx
Beautiful for sure. 🎉🎉
PLENTY OF WILD CAMPING SIGHTS TOO
We are lucky where I live.
❤stay safe guys x😊
you put that well
fully agree with.
Tanked? Lol. Take a look at how they're doing in Norway then and you'll see that's not the case.
Oh and hydrogen is way less efficient roughly the same as petrol and diesel and is basically just an excuse for petrochemical industries to carry on regardless
@@shawing only 5 million live there
Wow nice country views.
Wow, thank you!
Great video guys. Skye is so beautiful. Can't wait to revisit ourselves one day.
good vid thanks lee
Skye landscape absolutely amazing. Many thanks for bringing us along. The vlog for me just reconfirms EV infrastructure just not there yet. I simply don't even want to thing about the stress from where the next working charge point will be!!
Absolutely stunning views,, I head up to avimore in August for thunder in the glens,, can't wait to go.. 😉👍
Should have come to Isle of Barra, we’ve got electric chargers
I have never come across vloggers with such professionalism. The filming was absolute perfection. How you two manage a crazy adventure with excellent storytelling and filming is beyond me. Also you evoked alot of emotion within me as you displayed the SPECTACULAR scenery.. Ohhhhh the Fairy Glen was my favourite. Glad u got charge despite the challenges. Iv said this before and I will say it again..... There's a lot of successful vloggers who have been around for longer than Liam and Janine but they haven't got their skill level of storytelling and editing. You are both incredibly talented.
Namaste and blessings
