Sports Anchor Darren Haynes talks infertility journey, Assurance of Child Safety Act and 13 Emmys

I met Darren while interning for WUSA9 during my time at Howard University. He quickly became a role model for me because of his professionalism, the love he has for his children and the way he looked out for me, a young journalist trying to learn the ropes. So when Darren reached out to be on Sommer Time, I could not deny, especially after watching his journey over the past few years. Darren talks about dealing with infertility with his wife and how they overcame, why Governor Wes Moore signed the Assurance of Child’s Safety Act, how he’s won 13 Emmys and his journey through journalism.
