I thank the Lord for Chuck and for leaving us all this wonderful commentary! It never gets old. I listen to it and read it over and over. We are studying Revelation slowly and not throughly in our mid-week service. It is great and helpful to listen to Chuck and his insights and knowledge as well.
I’m on session 4 and I’ve read revelation many times and have done many studies, but this is by far the most I’ve ever gotten out of it so thank you Chuck. You’re a great man of God and thankful for you.
Chuck went home to his Savior a few years ago. His ministry has been a huge blessing to me, too. I'm really happy Koinonia House continues on to this day and that Chuck's teaching videos are here on UA-cam.
Yes our dear brothers in the Lord are together in heaven. I went to Pastor Chuck’s memorial back in October 2013 I was saved back in 1974 through Pastor Chuck Smith church he baptized me in Corona Del Mar . When my nine year old nephew was hit by a car on PCH in Newport Beach and taken off life support he was there at the hospital to comfort my sister. Also was there for my dads internment. Pastor Chuck was a true man of God and a servant also I can’t wait to see him again
Wow..hard to believe it's been that long. I saw him 25 or so years ago in a series of lectures he gave on different biblical topics. I was a baby christian back then and I learned quite a bit at the two I attended. Creation vs Big bang, and UFO's. In hindsight I wish I would've went to all them. He was truly gifted and had a big part of my growth as a Christian. I'll never forget his hermeneutical hygiene and how important it is to understanding the scriptures. I hope to thank him one. See you at the Wedding Feast. God bless you. ~Kirsten~
Matt 24: 28 was a mystery to me & made no sense until I read Rev 19:17-18 After Christ’s coming an angel standing in the sun cried with a loud voice saying to all the fowls come gather yourselves unto the supper of the great God that ye may eat the flesh of kings, captains, mighty men, horses etc.
Isn't, "wherever the carcass is there the eagles will be gathered"in Mathew a direct reference to Revelation where the birds are called to eat the flesh of those great and small that are destroyed [paraphrased]?
So I am doing a study on Revelation and have been going through Mr. Missler stuff again as I enjoy his explanations. I am having an issue in that I cannot find the root for the word Smyrna. He mentions that it comes from the word mur and that mur means death. I have been unable to verify that and can only find that mur or mor means bitterness. Does anyone have a reference to where he gets the meaning death? Thank you!
I think that if I would’ve been one of the Christian’s in those days, which I no doubt would’ve been, had I lived then, but not one that would’ve been zealous of becoming a martyr, and my being quite creative for avoiding anything unpleasant, I’m pretty sure I would’ve tried to appease the Roman’s to prevent being burned at the stake, and at the same time not wanting to displease the Lord, I can easily imagine myself substituting or camouflaging my supposed pinch of frankincense in honor of my devotion to Caesar, when in reality it would’ve really been a pinch a shit.
Interesting Matt 24:1 says Jesus “went out” “AND DEPARTED”. which makes me think Jesus left the temple & turned His back on because He prophesied of it’s destruction. Next Jesus was on Mt of Oloves speaking of His 2nd coming & “end of world”. 2 different events.
Matthew 24:28 “For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” I feel it means , "obvious"? like vultures flying in a circle , you know a dead animal is there
Jesus actually did speak of coming for His Bride in John 14:1-3 and what did He allude to in Matthew 24:37-44? Sounds like the Rapture to me! Praise God that Jesus is coming for the Bride and as Paul said in 1 Thess. 1:10, 5:9, the Bride is not destined unto wrath! Jesus is coming soon! Maranatha!
@Gwyne Pearson I never said Jesus wasn’t coming for the Bride. He definitely is. He said He was coming again but never called it a rapture. I believe we who are alive & remain & have not taken the mark will be “caught up” to Him at His coming. Some christians believe they are not going to be persecuted but Jesus said in Matt 24:9 “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted & shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name sake.” In Matt 10:38-39 Jesus said “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. v28 “ Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul & body in hell” I believe christians need to prepare for anything including persecution & death if necessary. How many will? I always wondered how satan would get ppl to take mark but then came china flu. Many christians bought the lie out of fear. Hope for the best prepare for the worse.
@@terib3625 Thank you for your comment. In Matthew 24:1-31, Jesus is talking to the Jews, not to the bride, being that the Jews are in Judea, they celebrate the Sabbath. The bride is not destined unto God's wrath, but we are persecuted by Satan. However the Tribulation Period is reserved only for those left behind as this is the wrath of God, when Jesus opens the seven seals. Daniel 9:24 specifically says that this vision refers to Daniel's people, the Jews, not the Bride of Christ. Matthew 24:37-44 is when Jesus changes the subject to the times of Noah, before the Jews, a time of the Gentiles and this is when there will be the taking up of the Bride in this last generation, which is the Fig tree generation, when Israel became a nation, and so as in the days of Noah, this is when the Bride will meet Jesus in the air! God bless you. I trust I will see you at the cloud party!
@terib3625 the Bible was not written in English for centuries. Harpazo is Greek and rapturo is Latin. Means snatched up or caught up. Study more on your own and stop parroting others. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to you.
I agree we will be taken before the last hour. Matthew speaks of the Wheat and the tares very important. If the disciples some who died horrific deaths then why would we not. Remember in John Jesus prayed for them saved from the evil one. Didn’t mean they would not be martyred. Best to prepare with the help of the Holy Spirit for what you may face. Find Chuck a good teacher but on the pre rapture I don’t. That does not mean I won’t listen to him or be rude to others. We all need to study and ask for wisdom and discernment for ourselves. God bless hallelujah amen.
Please be aware, the following must be the Only object of our faith for salvation and leaving in the Rapture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV) - "Christ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…" We can't get saved by 'Committing' ourselves to the Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) - “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Faith ALONE Only on Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection ALONE, is required. GRACE means UNMERITED FREE GIFT. NO human effort can be involved in receiving or keeping salvation.) Believing results in Salvation. Romans 3:28 (KJV) - “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law” Romans 11:6 (KJV), “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace....” IF we believe we are accepted by God for salvation (made born again by God) based on any human effort (committing ourselves to the Lord, repentance of sins, or water baptism, for examples), then we are Not under Grace (UNMERITED FREE GIFT), but are under the law (God’s commandments), and condemned, not saved. God the Son (Jesus) has DONE everything needed for salvation to be offered to every living person. BUT, we must Trust/Believe/Rely ONLY on Jesus’ work at the cross (his death, burial, and resurrection), and Not trust on anything we try to do to receive salvation, other than BELIEVE. We are born again/saved by grace through faith alone. We Cannot be Saved with any Faith for Salvation on Water Baptism or any Works / Human Effort: 1 Corinthians 1:17 (KJV) - “For Christ sent me NOT to BAPTIZE, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of NO EFFECT.” Faith on Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, not water baptism, must be the way of receiving salvation. Water baptism was for people (primarily Jewish) offered salvation and the kingdom on earth by the Gospel (good news) of the Kingdom, where a work under Old Testament law, water baptism, was required commandment keeping, which showed evidence of their saving faith. If we trust on any works or human effort for salvation, we will NOT be saved. Galatians 3:10 (KJV), “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” (We can’t continue in all things of the law (10 commandments), because we have already BROKEN the law, and are condemned by the law.) Galatians 5:4 (KJV), “Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved). Galatians 2:16 (KJV), “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Romans 10:4 (KJV), “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth." Jesus came as God the Son and God in flesh: Isaiah 9:6 (KJV), For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God....... Titus 2:13 (KJV), Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:15 (KJV), Jesus is the image of the invisible God...... Hebrews 1:8 (KJV), But unto the Son he (God the Father) saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.... Philippians 2:6 (KJV) - Jesus, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV), And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh. Eternal Security for the Born-Again Believer: Being Born Again (made permanently spiritually sinless by God) is Obtained by Faith Alone on the Gospel Alone and it’s PERMANENT. Believing that a person can lose salvation means we incorrectly believe we can obtain or keep salvation by HUMAN EFFORT. That means we approach God for salvation with faith on human effort, and that means No salvation: John 3:3 (KJV), “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Titus 3:5 (KJV), “NOT by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV), Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Ephesians 4:30 (KJV), “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV), “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were SEALED with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” John 6:37 (KJV), “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I WILL NO WISE CAST OUT.” John 6:39 (KJV), “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”
Thank you for all that, perfect examples of our salvation and the only way belief and Faith at its core I hope a lot more people read this to the end, so an important must. Blessings to everyone who does God Bless you and yours John Amen

I believe while Matthew & Luke may be of different backgrounds themselves, they are just giving different perspectives of what Jesus said. in Matt 24, & Luke 21. You have another perspective by Mark in Mark 13 but the same prophecy spoken by Jesus. These were not prophecies of Matthew, Mark or Luke but Jesus on His 2nd coming irregardless who they were talking to.. Jew or Gentile.
gnosticism is much more than just the denial of Christ's humanity, but rather the denial in physicality in general. its about believing that everything physical is evil, or corrupt, and bad, and the goal is to be "spiritual". its the exact belief which starts the whole "you have an immortal soul" that lives on after the body is dead, which is false and not at all taught in scripture or Hebrew culture/belief. when John battled gnosticism (read 1 John) it was because the church started to say that Jesus was a man, but Christ was spirit, and that it was "the Christ" which descended upon Jesus the man as a dove when He was baptized. Christians essentially do this today by saying that Jesus had two natures. Jesus did not have two natures, but rather had a nature in which He had to give up or empty Himself of in order to become flesh in all points as we are flesh, so that He could die, yes even the death of the cross. at which time He was resurrected from the dead, which is how He is made alive, and He is the example for our resurrection on the Day of the Lord...the first resurrection when the dead in Christ rise first. Paul battled disbelief in the resurrection to his letters to the church in Corinth. we are made alive, how? by resurrection. resurrection is the hope of the Christian and exactly what differentiates Christianity from all other belief systems.
We do have immortal souls. Our spirits existed before God and Christ made temporary physical bodies for us. After we die, our bodies will be resurrected into immortal bodies occupied with our spirits, which combination is our true souls.
@@michaeldunwoody3629 where in scripture do you get the idea that we have immortal souls? you're conflating "soul" and "spirit" in your own post. which is it? a soul or a spirit? these are basic terms which we should have definitions for - again, which we should get from scripture. so how does scripture define the terms? easy, look up every single instance where scripture uses the word for soul in hebrew and greek, and every time scripture uses the words for spirit in hebrew and greek. see how scripture uses the terms and what they mean. simple. if you think after your body dies something about you lives on - that isn't death. thats you living in another way. so now you need to redefine what death is. its also dualism, which is very pagan and demonic. ties in with gnosticism
@@michaeldunwoody3629 my point is, it doesn't teach it at all. you read it into the bible because you already believe it actually one of the great teachings of the bible, the one way which it differs from all other beliefs in the world, is that there is no immortal soul that lives on after you die. but rather the teaching of the bodily resurrection all throughout the bible it was a revolutionary teaching, the teaching of the raising of the dead and even christians during the apostles day had a hard time believing it no different now if you died and your immortal soul went to heaven to live with God, why the heck would you need to be bodily resurrected for God to come live with us? that makes no sense, and actually sounds like a downgrade

In the 41st minute: To be an "Escapist", according to Luke 21 : 36, if you believe the words of Jesus (hint hint), is not just okay, ITS SCRIPTURAL. ...that you may ESCAPE all that is going to happen... I've been pointing out our Lord's instruction here, since 2012. Amazingly, all scholars, teachers, preachers, and layety seem to roll their eyes when I bring it up that Jesus himself exhorted you to pray to escape. I also point out, v. 34 ...and the cares of this world... is an indication, worrying about all that is happening, is christians NOT trusting God, and NOT praying as they should. Nevertheless, i will not be silent... LUKE TWENTYONE THIRTYSIX- prepare
70 A.D. Jerusalem burned and all of the gold melted running into the streets. Solomon built a golden temple and Kingdom. Story of Solomon very pagan back then. And became barbaric.. Wars and rumors of wars. Pestilences.
Solomon’s temple was destroyed, and the gold of it plundered, by the Babylonians. Did Herod’s temple have the same quantity of gold as Solomon’s for the Romans to plunder?
Rapture theory is “fairly” new concept. “Rapture theory was launched into prominence around 1830 by a group of people in Scotland who had become known as the Plymouth Brethren. Under the direction of John Nelson Darby (1800-1882).”
Not true. The Catching up or snatching up has always been there. Harpazo is Greek for rapture. Rapturo is latin.Latin. just read and study FOR YOURSELF instead of parroting others. I think the timing is a mystery so Satan and his minions cannot plan. They know Scriptures.
The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes And let me tell you why! Find more free resources at www.graceambassadors.com

Not all in each but at least one in each.

There is a mistake - at 20:19, it says in the 4th century, Alexander the great . I think it should be 4th Century B.C Alexander was born in 356 B.C.
Pause Thorn in the flesh was the fact that he had persecuted the church in his previous life
Isn't, "wherever the carcass is there the eagles will be gathered"in Mathew a direct reference to Revelation where the birds are called to eat the flesh of those great and small that are destroyed [paraphrased]?
So I am doing a study on Revelation and have been going through Mr. Missler stuff again as I enjoy his explanations. I am having an issue in that I cannot find the root for the word Smyrna. He mentions that it comes from the word mur and that mur means death. I have been unable to verify that and can only find that mur or mor means bitterness. Does anyone have a reference to where he gets the meaning death? Thank you!

Myrrh….
I believe his reference is to myrrh, which was the oil used to annoint the dead .
Nothing is news. Definitely not good news today.
Does anyone know what year this series was recorded?

I think that if I would’ve been one of the Christian’s in those days, which I no doubt would’ve been, had I lived then, but not one that would’ve been zealous of becoming a martyr, and my being quite creative for avoiding anything unpleasant, I’m pretty sure I would’ve tried to appease the Roman’s to prevent being burned at the stake, and at the same time not wanting to displease the Lord, I can easily imagine myself substituting or camouflaging my supposed pinch of frankincense in honor of my devotion to Caesar, when in reality it would’ve really been a pinch a shit.
So no Holy Spirit of boldness that Christ gives followers? Maybe sort of Laodicean?
Interesting Matt 24:1 says Jesus “went out” “AND DEPARTED”. which makes me think Jesus left the temple & turned His back on because He prophesied of it’s destruction.
Next Jesus was on Mt of Oloves speaking of His 2nd coming & “end of world”. 2 different events.
Jesus put the jews on hold to go to the gentiles. Jacob's Troubles is for Jacob/ Israel to give them one last chance.
Matthew 24:28
“For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.”
I feel it means , "obvious"? like vultures flying in a circle , you know a dead animal is there
This music feels like Harry Potter
Jesus never mentioned a rapture only His 2nd coming. I do believe we will be “caught up” when Jesus comes again.
Please be aware, the following must be the Only object of our faith for salvation and leaving in the Rapture:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV) - "Christ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…"
We can't get saved by 'Committing' ourselves to the Lord.
Romans 3:28 (KJV) - “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”
Romans 11:6 (KJV), “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace....”
IF we believe we are accepted by God for salvation (made born again by God) based on any human effort (committing ourselves to the Lord, repentance of sins, or water baptism, for examples), then we are Not under Grace (UNMERITED FREE GIFT), but are under the law (God’s commandments), and condemned, not saved.
We Cannot be Saved with any Faith for Salvation on Water Baptism or any Works / Human Effort:
1 Corinthians 1:17 (KJV) - “For Christ sent me NOT to BAPTIZE, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of NO EFFECT.”
Faith on Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, not water baptism, must be the way of receiving salvation.
Galatians 3:10 (KJV), “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.”
(We can’t continue in all things of the law (10 commandments), because we have already BROKEN the law, and are condemned by the law.)
Galatians 5:4 (KJV), “Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved).
Galatians 2:16 (KJV), “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Romans 10:4 (KJV), “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth."
Jesus came as God the Son and God in flesh:
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV), For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God.......
Eternal Security for the Born-Again Believer:
Being Born Again (made permanently spiritually sinless by God) is Obtained by Faith Alone on the Gospel Alone and it’s PERMANENT. Believing that a person can lose salvation means we incorrectly believe we can obtain or keep salvation by HUMAN EFFORT. That means we approach God for salvation with faith on human effort, and that means No salvation:
John 3:3 (KJV), “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Titus 3:5 (KJV), “NOT by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV), Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Ephesians 4:30 (KJV), “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV), “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were SEALED with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
John 6:37 (KJV), “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I WILL NO WISE CAST OUT.”
John 6:39 (KJV), “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”
Umm, tell me, seriously, how was the thief on the cross saved? I've always felt I must be the thief.
Thank you for all that, perfect examples of our salvation and the only way belief and Faith at its core I hope a lot more people read this to the end, so an important must. Blessings to everyone who does God Bless you and yours John Amen

Emmett Fox. Sermon On The Mount. Read it...
Luke 21:27 is very clear this is about Christ’s 2nd coming even though he may not have mentioned abomination of desolation.
gnosticism is much more than just the denial of Christ's humanity, but rather the denial in physicality in general.
its about believing that everything physical is evil, or corrupt, and bad, and the goal is to be "spiritual". its the exact belief which starts the whole "you have an immortal soul" that lives on after the body is dead, which is false and not at all taught in scripture or Hebrew culture/belief.
when John battled gnosticism (read 1 John) it was because the church started to say that Jesus was a man, but Christ was spirit, and that it was "the Christ" which descended upon Jesus the man as a dove when He was baptized.
So true.
His risen body is immortal.
Ours will be, too.
@junk3996 My gosh, just read the Bible. That is one of the great teachings.
@@michaeldunwoody3629 my point is, it doesn't teach it at all. you read it into the bible because you already believe it
actually one of the great teachings of the bible, the one way which it differs from all other beliefs in the world, is that there is no immortal soul that lives on after you die. but rather the teaching of the bodily resurrection
all throughout the bible it was a revolutionary teaching, the teaching of the raising of the dead and even christians during the apostles day had a hard time believing it
no different now
if you died and your immortal soul went to heaven to live with God, why the heck would you need to be bodily resurrected for God to come live with us? that makes no sense, and actually sounds like a downgrade

Lol fake don’t follow this rewriting doctrine

The Gospel:
Plain and
Simple
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your
minds should be corrupted from the simplicity
that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3
Ask someone today if they are saved and
you will most likely hear responses like these:
“I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I
have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been
baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good
and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually
knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what
the gospel is and has left a devastating effect
of people not knowing what it is that they are
saved from nor how they are saved; which
leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation.
Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church
sounding phrases that do not communicate
anything. But rather present God’s word with
clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel:
plain and simple.
Sin was passed upon all men by one man
Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin
(Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of
condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of
this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good
works one might do we are still found sinners
in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found
righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even
one law we are found guilty.
It is for this reason of not being able to
create our own righteousness and being born
in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus
3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in
the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross
2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath
and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial,
and resurrection on our behalf that we are
able to have peace with God and forgiveness
of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good
news is unto all but only those that believe in
it are made righteous in Christ (Romans
3:22).
It is then after we have heard this good
news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit
and we are now part of Christ’s body the
church (Eph 1:13)
There is nothing that we need to do, no
good works that are required, and no bad
works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39).
Faith and belief in this information from
God’s word is the gospel.
The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your
heart. The gospel is not making him lord of
your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not
being baptized with water.
So next time someone asks you if you are
saved. Give them the clear assured answer
“Yes And let me tell you why!
