- Rlaarlo stands for ReLAx, wARm, LOve. No kidding. This is my review of their first crawler, the MK-7. It's big, 7th-ish scale in fact, so it handles most obstacles with ease. It's not without its faults though, and I go over all of them in exhaustive detail. NOTE: brass and diff covers are NOT included.

Ahhh…there he is…..the majestic SBG gracefully clobbering through the muck as it forages for food. Such a rare sight with his arms retracted! We can speculate that he may be trying to see where he dropped his lexan scissors.

$499 this is an unbeatable deal. i bought one from AliExpress to Sri Lanka like 2 weeks ago and it came 3 days ago. and it was $600 with shipping. so i paid $100 more. i guess that s fine because there are no direct shipping methods to Sri Lanka and Rlaarlo offers sea freight as free shipping that will be taxed. they also ask $100 for the air shipping.

This color aside, this is a great truck with awesome features for a great price. I don't like scale stuff and don't crawl plus already have a SCX6 and TRX6 G63. I'm still getting one. More to support Rlaarlo for actually trying than anything else. I really hope they build a large scale basher.

I ordered a Rlaarlo mk-07. I know some people have said their customer service was not responsive in the past. I have not received my truck yet as it takes a while to ship by sea and then to Alaska. But I have had only positive experiences with them so far. They email me every time there is an update. Also I have sent them a few emails and so far they have responded within 24 hrs each time. Excited to play with it once it arrives! I will update this post if something substantially negative arises.

They do seem to make well built RCs. Budget friendly even. I've had some fun times with their rollers. Parts do take forever to get. Waiting now for some RZ001 parts that were ordered the same time as the truck. Pretty much the same with the AK-787 Regardless I've been pretty impressed with the truck as well as both the speed cars. Fun little projects, bummer there's no roller for this one...

DINOSAUR AGE
I've had good luck using the cheapo Amazon light controls, and just not using the turn signal circuit (plug amber lights into runnning light circuit instead). Still all the reverse light, headlights ect... You do need to waterproof it yourself but as cheap as they are, I've always been happy with the results.

Thanks for the review. Yes, please share the hub caps! I'll be ordering one as soon as they want to take my money 😂. From what I'm seeing, the two speed could have a bigger split. I agree, and typically go for simpler rigs. More stuff that could go wrong, but this is looking like a fun trail truck. Not a comp rig. And at least 10lbs lighter than my 6 if I have to carry it out if the woods because I set my Reefs Beast 2k on fire! 😆

The movie references were on point. All those light modes and none of them turn, the turn signals off. But thank goodness it has an epilepsy mode... I am getting tired of the RC world following the real world and adding more crap I don't want on a vehicle.

Hopefully it’s better quality than their 1st generation 1/14 scale buggies. Those had radio/receiver issues, and driveshaft issues, and some motor issues too. We were one of the 1st 100 channels to review their buggies.

I am with you on all the micro servos. For me an old style drive train is enough to take care of. ;) Damn signal lights!!!! WHO USES SIGNAL LIGHTS IN THE WOODS .... LMAO ... All in All I thought it looked ok though oin the trails and the body is pretty snazzy. Hope it holds up better than other Rlaarlo rigs. Great video Matt

OMG, that is a real distinct esc arming note.. at first I thought that might have been the ESC motor feedback like a castle.. but no it sounds like a sewing machine in the background instead.

Been watching progress on this RC for a while now and I'm interested in one eagre to see yours and Tomley's Reviews and the UK price before I get too exited about it and a I like the JP ish version! 😉👌
Looks basically like a Yikong. I've been driving their 1/8th scale rigs for over a year now. All of these size rigs usually run a 775 can brushed motor with a hobbywing 880 ESC. As for the "stabalizer" on the seering, the Yikong models come with those as well on some models, and they do indeed work with a heavy duty spring inside, this one might not be. Does it say "I'm coming out of the booth!" anywhere? According to the website, $499.99 for non Dinosaur age, $549.99 for that model. Chassis armor comes with first few orders placed, and the brass and such are upgrades already listed on their site.

I think if the price point is where I think it is at around $499, Than Rlaarlo has Done a Really great job here. Their on a definite roll and are proving they can play with the bigger brands. The only thing that bothered me from what I could see were those darn mandatory turn signals, LoL! Yes, I agree, that a bit more steering range would be nice, but quite possibly fixable I'm sure. I would love to see an Explorer version of this "dinosaur age" body just like in the movie. great job on this review bud!

It would be great if they were on a separate switch though. Just like a real car. If a persons on wanted to use them they can, but if they don’t want to they don’t have to . Not sure why,but all these Rc car manufactures think consumers like the mandatory turn signal feature, but I think most consumers don’t like them.

RLAARLO has come out with some very interesting RC vehicles, BUT their “CUSTOMER SERVICE” is absolutely technically INCOMPETENT! Hoping to get any useful assistance regarding mechanical issues with their products is IMPOSSIBLE. Several “replies” to my NUMEROUS “customer service” requests were “we are sorry, please contact us for further assistance”!!!!! My returns have cost me a fortune in shipping & customs have held them for WEEKS AT A TIME. In SUMMATION, I refuse to ever have any dealing with RLAARLO again. I have learned my lesson.
As much as I LOVE your channel, any positive reviews I “watch” make me sick. RLAARLO does not deserve support from the RC community!

@@scalebuildersguild just for the heck of it, if you are really interested, send RLAARLO a technical question that would be answered by ARRMA, TRAXXAS, FUTABA, CASTLE or literally any other RC related company. RLAARLO “customer service” has little to absolutely no knowledge or access to the development/technical branch of the company! After DOZENS & DOZENS of emails regarding particular issues I RARELY got a coherent response from perhaps a single individual who had absolutely any understanding of the technical components of their products! Even then it was always cryptic lacking any real value in its poor translation of the English language.
Free market will speak for itself, and what other people prioritize on, some dont need or care for customer service (i.e. I have only ever used it once for my rcs, out of my giant collection) especially as the internet exists... if you know what this free market means and how it speaks volumes, then you know
My personal opinion, I really do love all the bells and whistles. I love buttons I love clicking buttons, and who cares if they fail you just replace them with other ones again my personal opinion.

Its a real beauty looks durable and dripping with the latest designs too bad replacement parts wont be available, months after its release it will become unavailable and you can forget consumer service unless your one of the luck presenters who will get one for free and never use it again once their finished with their endorsement for the truck. Like the Rlarrlo that I bought with my own money will begin to break apart and finally stop working some nine to ten months of use. I suppose presenters trusted by consumers have to abide with the manufactures wishes after all their paying for it not for nothing but going by all the presenters I used to trust with giving me the scoop are like professional boxing.

I like it. The lights on the mirrors are a nice touch too but I still think indicators should be on a separate switch and not mixed with turning the steering wheel. I tend to disconnect them when they are connected to steering. It gets annoying quickly.

That steering angle is pretty poor, The one thing imo that makes a huge difference to performance.

One of the first rc trucks I had that wasn't dog bone og scx10 axles was a Vattera ascender. That was the first truck that made me appreciate steering angle.

Sweet rig...liked the black rims better than the "red" ones you put on (they look orange to me). I know you're not a fan of the 'features' but they packed a lot into that thing and at a pretty fair price. The other colors looks like they're cheaper which is pretty funny since they actually look better than this one IMO. But why oh why will these manufacturers not listen and stop putting turn signals in their light kits?!?! Very impressive radio for a RTR too.
