You can use Mobil 424 for the front Hilliard Unit , & ATF Type F Fluid for Transmission !! Been doing it for years with never a problem !! 🙂👍
please do more maintenance on this type of machine, i have same one and no clue where stuff is or what it takes
This was a customer's machine so i don't currently have it. But if i get another one like it I'll try to make more vids!
You aleays leave the drain plug out and sacrifice some new gear oil to clean the reservoir, then replace the drain plug and fill. On everything you change out.

These are perfect videos, thanks. Regarding the transmission, front and rear differentials. Do all take the same type of oil? What type of oil do they take?
You have to do a little research or look at the owner's manual. With Polaris, there are several different fluids. Depending on the type of differential, a specific fluid will be needed. I believe all the transmissions use the same fluid. This is why i like to use amsoil. Their website is very helpful and shows you what fluids you need for your exact application, automotive or atv...ect.

Your video helped a lot , I was hoping you would know the size o ring I need for the front and rear gear case also the transmission drain plugs , Polaris wants crazy money for these .

I don't know for sure. I just buy an assortment of aluminum crush washers from Amazon and use the size that's closest. Same goes for the fill plug, get an assortment of o rings and match it up.

Do you use the same fluid for the front and rear diff? The direct drive oil?
The rear diff in this case is just regular gear oil, not the same as the front diff and transmission. In this case, the amsoil is compatible with demand drive fluid and the agl so it will work for the front diff and transmission. As well as the front hubs on the older style polaris awd.
Polaris AGL for the rear diff then?
@@CobraChickenRacing i looked it up and it looks like agl is for transmissions. I'd just use 80w90 in the rear diff.
She's up and running, thanks man! Polaris brand of gear oil, used in the rear diff is called Angle Drive Fluid if anyone ever has the same question again about this bike! @@Whitestrash

Not sure... maybe Google search it or ask a salvage yard, they might have cross reference information.
@@Whitestrash thanks for that. I'm in Australia and have asked the biggest wreckers here and they don't have and don't get many of these quads.
I was hoping that someone has had this problem and came up with a solution to replacing the rear prop shaft as they are discontinued now.
