- Finally had some quaran-time to work on a friend's Acty Street! The old suspension was a little "boat-y," so after months of waiting for parts I swapped out the front struts and springs to freshen up the ride!

Where did you get the struts?
if i wanted to upgrade the suspension. what would i be looking for in the same for comparision? like, are honda civic's from the 90's the same?

cool! im thinking of lifting mine. not myself. lol Do you have any "dont do's" to these actys? I was interested in getting an aftermarket exhaust too but heard its not great for fuel?
On My Way I’ve heard that there’s some binding issues when lifting these. That could just be with 4wd but it’s my opinion that Actys are best stock height or lowered. But it also depends on what you use it for. I don’t know much about the fuel disadvantages, but there’s some options from Yokohama motors or some people have adapted spork bike mufflers.

mines not 4wd, it’s 1989 so I believe it’s the model before they made them 4wd? Also mines AT. It’s my daily car just trying to add some stuff to make it cooler lol

If you’re keeping it on the street I see no reason to lift it, would just cause issues. Getting better wheels and tires should be up on your list before anything.

I can’t confirm if the Acty and Beat suspension is the same. GAZ out of the uk makes coilovers for Actys however
Yeah I’ve heard about them I might just go to the local scrap yard and see if any of the junkyard beats have some front struts on them also you still doing that beat e07a swap in your acty I’m trying to get that mtrec

@@flpparts unfortunately no. I’ve been pretty busy so haven’t gone to great lengths but there still seems to be a lot of grey area on the matter here in Colorado.
