For Honor has revealed the new season's name and hero skin! We also get a June Road Map to let us know what to expect. In this video, I'll be discussing what we know about the Muramasa blade from a historical and mythological perspective. We'll also be discussing the Road Map and what we can look forward to! it will 100% be a current time orochi because we'll get a new hero this season and we all know by now that whenever a new hero drops the hero skin of that season is their antagonist
Well...if this orochi is based on Yoshitsune and the new hero is based on Benkei...then that won't be the case, as Benkei served Yoshitsune.

On an off note, the Murasama wielded by Jetstream Sam or Samuel Rodriguez is the only one who wields a sword inspired by the muramasa swords without it being a cursed blade, instead it was a family sword he turned into a red, high frequency blade.

I hope it’s an orochi skin because I don’t want heroes to have more than one hero skin until all heroes have at least one hero skin although the unsung knight was an amazing skin itself.
I agree with the exeaption of Raider, he REALLY needs an actual skin

The mythos surrounding the Muramasa blades has always been fascinating to me. In fact there's evidence to confirm that the Orochi's katana is a Muramasa blade as when he does his recognition emote, he cuts himself before sheathing the sword. It was said that if a Muramasa sword didn't taste blood before it was sheathed, it would drive the user to madness to the point where they would commit suicide. The Muramasa swords have also been seen in pop culture like Metal Gear Rising, where one of the antagonists you face named Jetstream Sam uses a Muramasa blade that's been modified with futuristic technology giving its blade a crimson color and insane cutting power. And probably one of my favorite depictions of the Muramasa blade is oddly enough in the movie Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword, where the legend surrounding the Black Samurai was that his sword was forged by Muramasa and named the Sword of Doom and was only defeated when Masamune gave his own sword called the Sword of Fate to a Green Dragon who defeated the Black Samurai.

This skin reminds me so much of Katsumoto's armour from The Last Samurai movie. I ideally would have liked to have it for Kensei to keep in theme for Katsumoto, but if it's for orochi, I'll still be satisfied. It has been something I've wanted in game for the longest time so I'm hyped to hopefully have it (if the leak is real).

To answer ur question raven yes there is a character called muramasa in the fate anime
Honestly one sword in anime that I think really encapsulates the danger of Cursed Swords trope is Murasame in Akame ga Kill. If you don't know the show the blade can kill anything with a beating heart within seconds with no more than a scratch using a cursed poison in the blade. Even Akame who wields the blade has to be super careful even when doing something simple like cleaning it. The catch is though it has to hit skin so anyone wearing durable armor is pretty safe or if they can somehow live without their heart sense the curse forces the heart to stop the second it reaches it. If memory serves the only living creature to get cut and not die instantly is the antagonist Esdeath who got cut in the arm and without a second of hesitation cut off her arm before the poison could spread (she used her ice power to stop the bleeding).

It’s been pushed to the 11th due to Ubisoft Forward on the 10th, they want to capitalize on a bigger audience, since the new season trailer will be shown during ubi forward.
It’s actually in Fate/Grand Order, the mobile game. In there, Muramasa appears as a Saber-class Servant, which he comments that it doesn’t fit him as he is a swordsmith and not a swordsman. He appears in the Epic of Remnant section of the game called “Shimosa” where he is the supporting character to the player and Musashi against the Heroic Spirit Swordmasters who cannot die by normal means and needed Muramasa’s sword to cut them down.

The new hero isn't even close to being revealed and I already have a name for him, Zychoguni (insert hero name here) that made a dark pact with a shinigami death god to protect his family from enemy hands.

No it is the hero skin what you are seeing is the title art of tu1 which always shows the hero skin the new hero doesn't get revealed until tu2 in which the title art will be replaced by a cg art of the new hero like with ocelotl and varangian.
ffs it has been 4 years, new heroes come in TU2 OF SEASONS 2 AND 4 NOT SOONER!
Now, talking about the possible new samurai hero of this season, two things I noticed in this teaser: that there are many swords scattered around, and that they are apparently located on a BRIDGE, so I ask you, can't you remember any historical character that has been involved in a plot about accumulating lots of swords from defeated enemies, and that there were TWO important events in his history that were located on bridges?? 👀👀👀👀👀
is it Benkei? The warrior-monk who died standing on a bridge defending his friend/lord?
