Thank you so much! No one else explains this part of the blanket stitch, and it worked perfectly!

That's a great tip, Nina. I have never finished off my blanket stitch like that, but it looks so smooth. I'm going to try it. Thanks.

Makes perfect sense to me and I've never done Hardanger before, I'm definitely going to start in the new year. After watching your videos it no longer seems scarey :)

So helpful! I would never have been able to figure that out on my own!! I'm setting a challenge for myself to learn hardanger in 2016 so I can complete my Victoria sampler piece I've had for years! I recommend you to everyone I know. :)

Hello, is there a software for creating hardanger charts? i have a chart which is confusing to follow as 1 square represents 4 threads. I am afraid to make a mistake in counting and would like to put it on a graph chart. Thank you

Hi! Yes, I can see how your pattern would be hard to follow. There are a few different software programs on the market. The one I've looked at is MacStitch/WinStitch by Ursa - ursasoftware.com. Dana Botho does a video on this (she has a Mac) here ua-cam.com/video/Y_52Ka-2XcA/v-deo.html.
I don't use any software but if I were to purchase one I think I would go with this. Hope this helps!
